Growing up as the daughter of Snow White and Prince Florian meant everyone already knew who I was supposed to be before I even had the chance to decide for myself. Kind. Polite. Perfect. A princess worthy of Auradon.

But the older I got, the more I realized something about my kingdom: people here love happy endings…as long as they happen to the “right” people.

So when the VKs arrived from the Isle of the Lost, I couldn't stand the way everyone looked at them like they were dangerous before they'd even said a word. Especially Evie. Beneath all the confidence and designer dresses, I could tell she was waiting for people to hate her. I didn't want her to feel that way around me.

Somehow, one conversation turned into friendship, and friendship turned into something bigger. Soon I wasn't just besties with Evie, but I was close with Mal, Carlos, and Jay too. Along the way, Ben and Jane became some of my closest friends as well, and for the first time in my life, Auradon started feeling less like a perfect fairytale kingdom and more like a real place filled with real people.

Then Ben was kidnapped which led me to…Harry Hook.

I should've hated him. He was arrogant, reckless, impossible to control, and completely unlike anyone I'd ever been allowed to be around. My parents especially despised the idea of someone like him even speaking to me. But somewhere between the playful flirting, the teasing smiles, and the moments where he let me see who he really was beneath all the swagger, I fell for him.

And when the barrier finally came down everything changed.

Because loving Harry Hook wasn't just scandalous; to my father, it was unforgivable.

To Auradon, he's still the son of Captain Hook. A pirate. A VK. Someone who could never belong beside a princess like me. But I'm tired of people deciding who deserves redemption and who doesn't.

This DR is very much inspired by Tom and Sybil's relationship in Downton Abbey which is why I'm kind of tempted to have siblings like Sybil did (except neither of my sister would ever be ANYTHING like Edith) since they kind of fought to keep Sybil safe and happy when nobody else around her would.

Guys, I'm currently trying to script a Disney Descendants DR, and I can't decide if I want to script that the parents all look like they do in the Descendants movies in our reality or if they should look like they do in their own live-action movies in our reality. So, for example, Maleficent would look like Angelina Jolie instead of Kristin Chenoweth if I scripted them to look like they do in their own live-action movies.
