one of fun ghoul’s shoelaces is, at any given time, always untied. you’d think that after tripping over the laces ten thousand times he would’ve learned by now, but he never does. he says he takes too much pride in his aesthetic to ruin it for something as pointless as tying a shoe. kobra promises to laugh at him when ghoul falls on his face because of his stubbornness.

Killjoys who often go to The Nest having both arms up to the elbow covered in bracelets, but still trading them w/ others and making even more bracelets in their spare time.

Leaving bracelets in the mailbox for the Phoenix Witch when someone dies.

Killjoys fighting over who gets the first trade of the younger killjoys coming to The Nest.

Road Trip by Noel Kerns

Noel Kerns is a Dallas-based photographer specializing in capturing Texas’ ghost towns, decommissioned military bases, and industrial abandonments at night. Growing up in the central Texas hill country, Kerns developed his photographic skills shooting large format black & white landscapes.  The slow and deliberate nature of the large format photographic process was a perfect launching pad into the art of digitally photographing the nocturnal world.

One of the things Kerns enjoy most about photographing under a full moon are all the latent details, those things which reveal themselves only when you take the time to let the moonlight tell the story. He loves the calm and tranquility of a peaceful night scene, as well as the eerie feeling one can get when shooting an old desert ghost town under a full moon.

Every year, Dr. Death Defying starts an official tag game.  It’s basically lasertag, but with ray guns set to stun.  It’s always… interesting.

- One year, someone convinced a group of S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W’s to join.

- Party Poison is known to kiss their opponents as a distraction, then shoot them immediately after.  Some known victims are Fun Ghoul, Show Pony, Val Velocity (though he denies it), both Vaya and Vamos, and Cherri Cola.

- Never team up with Fun Ghoul.  He’s a backstabber.

- Show Pony refuses to take off their skates.  This has caused many, many problems.

- There’s a rumor that Mad Gear and the Missile Kid joined once.  They were found passed out behind a gas station, but then again that might’ve been from drinking too much.

- Everyone is surprised at how competitive Jet Star can get.

- Vaya and Vamos use this as an excuse to dress up in matching themed outfits.

- Kobra Kid is always shot by Party.  No surprise there, Party’s an asshole to their brother.

- In an unspoken agreement, the killjoys always let the Girl win.
