If my mom asks me one more time when I’m popping out a kid, there’s high likelihood I’m going to end up as the star of the new Crime TV show “daughters who kill”. To ease her off for a few months I’m going to need someone in Lima to lend me their child this Sunday. They will be returned in one piece and bribed significantly with energy drinks and rice kirspy treats (or whatever kids eat these days).

Puck squinted back at Kitty, trying to figure out whether she was insulting Lauren, or complimenting his skills in the bedroom. Trying to talk to her often gave him a headache, but in a different way than talking with Rachel did. He was happy for the subject change, as it gave his brain a small break from trying to figure out if he should defend Lauren or thank Kitty. “I know. I already brought them over one of those gift baskets. They’re naming him Puck, or whatever the chick version of Puck is.”

Kitty’s face turned to confusion, was there something Rachel hadn’t told her? If she was already carrying a bun in the oven, that’s totally something she (as both her dearest friend and publicist) should be made aware of. But she wasn’t about to openly admit she wasn’t in on something. “What in God’s good name did you put in a trying to conceive gift basket? Porn and lube?” She cackled as she took another large sip from her glass. “You’re dreaming if you think they’re going to name it after you, they’re naming her Kitty. And obviously it’s going to be a girl because I’m praying like super hard.”

His mom had always loved Kitty after that. But he wasn’t going to admit to it. His mother who had never quite warmed up to Tina.

She was right. Four months ago he was still Tina’s fiance…yes…his feelings for her were not quite the same as the year before, but he figured that was how relationships were. You couldn’t feel the blind, unreasonable love for the same person forever. He thought. At some point you just settled and loved in a more rational way. Started making compromises and taking decisions rather than just following your heart. Or so he figured.

He tried not to thinki about how his heart had skipped a bit when he took a look to his right and found Kitty Wilde-out of all people-drinking next to him. How his heart never stopped rising during the ceremony. How it felt to say I do.

Fuck it his thoughts weren’t in the right place right now.

“Please do” he said as she mentioned giving Tina a thank you basket. He was pretty sure it was a joke, but the image in his mind was still too funny “can you imagine her face?” he still had some not quite nice feelings towards Cohen-Chang. He had moved back to Lima for her. He had decided not to let his feelings get the best of him for her and she had still walked out on him. Not really even looking all that guilty. His new skills weren’t even all on hers -after all they had been in an on -off relationship for quite some time…but her getting the basket would still be pretty epic.

He nodded at the mention of the ride to the bedroom. He was sure she quite liked them and deep down he did too. They were the rare occasion when he could feel her close . He cleared his lap for her and patted it, clear invitation for her to settle

The mention of Lauren made him perk up once again, however, and he looked back over at Kitty with a small smirk. “Why? Did she say that’s something she’s into?” Only partially joking, he happily grabbed the flask from her, taking a nice, long sip. “I’m glad I’m not the only one that came prepared. Champagne and wine? Really? Just because we’re getting old, it doesn’t mean we have to be boring.”

“I want to pretend I’m surprised, but the legend of Noah Puckerman didn’t leave much to the imagination.” She shrugged, remembering the stories of Puck that came hand in hand with his brother starting McKinley at the same time she did. “I don’t know what Lauren is into between the sheets, I just made an education guess. Word of advice: bring whipped cream. Something tells me a quickie is going to give her an appietite.” She took a large sip from her drink, thankful she’d thought ahead and brought something that would at least give some sort of burn as it went down. “Are you really surprised? And I’m not one to gossip, but rumor has it they’re trying to have a baby... Because apparently moving back to Lima is the perfect place to reproduce.” She commented sacrastically, only partially bitter that Rachel’s shift to Lima had been a key reason in her herself staying... Well that and her marriage. Sort of.
