Oh Neill Blomkamp, you are such a tease!....
Not only the Star Wars film we all have been waiting for, but also the Alien's film we have all been waiting for.
Life doesn't get any better than this!
More Trailer-liciousness!....
This time in the form of the "not leaked" Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer.
Doesn't give too much away but I do like the "Tell me, do you bleed".... "You will" bit.
Tell me, do you bleed?..... You will.
Batman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
If you thought the trailer for Episode 7 was awesome....
Check out the trailer for the new Star Wars game, Star Wars Battlefront.
Could this be the Star Wars game we have been waiting for?... You know, the one where they forget about the prequels!
Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC, November really cant come soon enough.
The 'Nerdgasm' is strong with this trailer!.....
I am trying to keep my expectations in check for the new Star Wars film... But this new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens doesn't seem to be helping.
"I want this film to feel like it's literally the genetic sibling of Aliens, so it's Alien, Aliens, and then this movie".
Neil Blomkamp on the new Alien film he is working on
The News About Blomkamp's Alien Film We All Wanted To Hear!....
We all saw the pictures and the news finally arrived that indeed Neil Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium) was involved in a new Alien movie.... Huzzah!
The new information that is now surfacing is that he will be ignoring Alien3 and Alien: Resurrection! Could news get any better than this?
Don't get me wrong, I liked Alien3.... Hello, anyone still there?.... Yes, I can admit it. Was it Aliens? No, but I did think it was good and when you hear (and read) stories about how much the studio interfered with David Fincher's original vision, it was bound to be a bit of a mess.
To quote Blomkamp himself,
I want this film to feel like it's literally the genetic sibling of Aliens
This is indeed very good news and I am sure everyone wants to see a proper sequel to Aliens.
Mad Max: Fury Road Trailer!.....
Best. Trailer. Ever!.....
What else is there to say really? I agree with some comments though, I'm hoping the film is as good as the trailers.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Teaser Trailer!....
The trailer that everyone has been waiting for.... Well, the people that still cling to the last glimmer of hope that the Star Wars universe hasn't been completely obliterated by George Lucas.
Very much a teaser but we get to see more than some website were speculating which I am happy about and it seems they have the look right.
Staying away from the new wave of Nerd-Rage over the new lightsaber, I like what I see and my excitement is slowly building again.
And the fad of the teaser trailer continues!.... This time with Jurassic World, where they give us a whopping 15 seconds of teaser trailer to wet out appetite for the "full trailer" due to drop Friday. This better not be a teaser for a teaser though!....
The Last Goodbye...... To Middle Earth!....
Warner Bros. have released the single for the final song which will feature at the end of the soon to be released The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Sung by The Lord of the Rings Star Billy Boyd and fittingly called The Last Goodbye.
Lots of reminiscing in the film clip, not really my cup of tea song-wise though but fits in with the other songs for the rest of the trilogy.
I was surprised to read that the first LOTR film was released way back in 2001, considering filming would have started well before then, that is a fair chuck of Peter Jackson's life he has devoted to this world that Tolkien created.
HBO Confirms Westworld is Coming to Our Small Screens!...
If HBO's other shows are anything to go by, then this will be a must watch for me.
The new series will also have Jonathan Nolan at the helm as director and one of the writers. This just gets better and better!
I have only seen the original Westworld film a couple of times but from what I remember it is great bit of Sci-Fi starring Yul Brynner as the gunslinger robot who goes haywire.
New Inherent Vice Poster!......
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Teaser Trailer?....
Word on the net (well, where else do people here stuff nowadays!) Is that we will soon be treated to a wafer thin taste of the new Star Wars sequel.
Bad Ass Digest has hinted at what this brief morsel will entail-
What's it going to be like? If my sources are correct (and this is a big IF. These sources have been mighty reliable in the past, and if they're wrong I believe they're wrong honestly, ie they're not bullshitting me), it'll be short. And when I say short, I mean one minute long. It's going to have The Force Theme played on woodwinds, softly, over flashing images of the main leads, each fading to black. There's no dialogue, just reveals of the characters. And then the music swells up into a full orchestral piece - perhaps what John Williams recorded this weekend? - and we hear a female voice, likely Daisy Ridley's, saying "Wake up."
Not a lot to go on but if true we won't be waiting long as this tearer is supposedly attached to the new Hunger Games film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1.

Film Thoughts- Interstellar (2014)
Director: Christopher Nolan
Staring: Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine
Interstellar would have to be one of the most eagerly anticipated films of 2014 and its easy to see why. A brilliant director, an awesome cast and an intriguing story all helped this reach a lot of peoples must see films of this year. It was certainly up at the top of mine.
The premise of the film, the earth is sick and it isn't going to get better with the only hope of survival is to send a select few brave astronauts out into the blackness of space to find a new Earth. Not in our galaxy though, in another galaxy.
Someone said to me that this will be one of those films that doesn't immediately scream “classic” film but will be viewed upon in years to come as a groundbreaking “classic” film of this generation and I have a tendency to agree.
This has a very Kubrick-esque feel too it and with Christopher Nolan at the helm that is i would say not an accident. He is undoubtably one of the most brilliant filmmakers of this generation. There is no doubt in my mind that this definitely feels very much a homage to that classic piece of cinema 2001: A Space Odyssey, and just like that film, Interstellar will no doubt have have peoples noodles baked and tongues wagging afterwards. Probably much like @001 did in its time and also like many of Nolan’s films do now (Inception, I'm looking at you!).
The cast is also brilliant, with a swathe of Nolan favourite lined up, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, everyone is great. The newcomer to Nolan's entourage is Matthew McConaughey and much like anything he has done recently, he is brilliant. I still feel a bit weird liking his work now, but I am glad he has shaken off that "Rom-Com" persona and has picked projects that really set him apart and challenge him (True Detective and i still need to check out Mud and Dallas Buyers Club).
There are two things this film demands… Other than a degree in astrophysics.... One would be viewing on the big screen, the bigger the better really. At least on your first sit through if possible. It really is a gorgeous film, especially the space scenes.
The second, well that easy, more viewings, I have a feeling I will need to watch it a couple more times at least to pick up all the bits I have missed (thats a nice way of saying I didn't understand)… well until I can get that degree at any rate. But i guess that is the norm with Nolan film really.
This is definitely a film that you need to check out.
This ain't no Medellin!
First Trailer for Escobar: Paradise Lost staring Benicio Del Toro as Pablo Escobar.
Is it just me or when someone mentions Pablo Escobar all i can think of is Entourage's Medellin?
