Working with North of Now
Spent the last couple weeks producing some ads for the small, Vancouver-based production company, North of Now (created by the wonderful Tyler Funk and Gabe Adelman). They're creating some wonderful work and it's been great working with them. Coming up we're heading down to the Oregon Coast to shoot a video for Chillsner, and a local shoot for Telefonica.

Sleepy Stories at Whistler Film Festival
Happy to announce that Sleepy Stories will be having its west coast premiere this month at Whistler Film Festival. Directed and Written by Andrew Rowe, and produced by me, for Crazy 8s...the film can be seen on November 29th at 1:00pm. More information here!
Friend Request In Montreal
It is film fest season, so more great news. The short film I produced in January, Friend Request (directed by Tyler Funk), will be premiering at the Montreal Student Film Festival on August 25th. Hopefully the first in a long festival run!

Sleepy Stories - World Premiere
Some very exciting news - Sleepy Stories (produced as part of the Crazy 8s) has been accepted into the 32nd Annual Atlantic Film Festival. This will be its World Premiere, so we're very excited. Andrew Rowe, the director, will be flying out there to attend!
Easter Bunny/Bangin' Vengeance
One day, two amazing B-grade films by one crazy director! Over the last couple years I've had the chance to work with Richard Mogg on two feature films (the man gets it done!), both of which are screening at the Rio on August 18th at 12:25pm.
You get to see me in two very....very different roles. I won't say more...you'll have to come see for yourself!
Landrock Internship
I've been given a fantastic opportunity to intern with the fantastic producer Erica Landrock, who I met through Crazy 8s and whose rapidly expanding career I have been following with great admiration. Her company is working on a number of productions, including shows for Shaw and Knowledge Network. It has so far been an incredible experience!
Cold Reading Series
The last few months have been busy...especially with every Thursday night being spent at the Cold Reading Series - a wonderful community event where writers' un-produced scripts are cold-read in front of a live audience. I came on board in early June to help with the production side of the program, and have found in an incredibly motivating community event.
Land of the Sun
I'm very happy to announce that I'm going to be co-producing a wonderful short film made with support from the Canada Council for the Arts. Shooting begins early September in Vancouver and Kamloops
Sleepy Stories/Crazy 8s
Spent the last couple weeks producing one of the winning Crazy 8s short films, "Sleepy Stories". It is written and directed by Andrew Rowe and stars Mike Rowe. It's been an amazing experience and really fun to work with a new group of filmmakers.
The screening is March 30th at the Granville Centre.
Friend Request
The year has been a busy one so far. Started off by co-producing (and art directing) a fantastic, dark short film, written and directed by Tyler Funk. In hindsight, things went pretty smoothly, and it was a pleasure to work with an extremely talented team.

Fitzmaurice Voice Workshop - with Noah Drew
I was lucky enough to spend the last weekend in January working with Noah Drew in his Fitzmaurice Voice Workshop. It was a wonderful process, which completely revamped the way I look at voice/body work. I highly recommend it to anyone who can get the chance!
Video Challenge Awareness Month (VCAM)
February is proving to be an insane month as I decided to join a group of friends in participating in VCAM (Video Challenge Awareness Month). The idea is to make a short video (30 seconds minimum) every day for the month of February. Everything from stop motion animation, to documentary, to sweded films. 5 days in and it's consumed most of my life. Check out my short videos here, and some of the top rated ones here.
Crazy 8s (again!)
Off to a nice start in February, as a story that I co-wrote with Tyler Funk, has been selected as one of the finalists in the crazy 8s contest. We head to the story editing phase today, meeting with Bill Hurst to go over our script. It is an incredible honor to get this far and have the chance to meet with a story editor! Oh yes, our story is called Underneath. It's a psychological thriller about a Emily, who becomes obsessed with her suspicion that the newest member of her swim team, a young burqini-clad Iranian woman, is hiding something.
Meisner Classes have begun
Since the start of January, I have been taking Meisner classes with Lori Triolo. It has only been a few weeks, but I already feel like I'm learning everything again from the start. It's an incredibly invigorating and addictive process. Looking forward to the next few months of challenging work!
Tales of Endangered Species
I've had a wonderfully busy week shooting with a team of filmmakers from VFS on the short film "Tales of Endangered Species", written and directed by Miguel Guerrero. We spent 5 days underground shooting on a set in the Storyeum - it's a very dark story about a couple living in a post-apocalyptic world (cold-war gone wrong) who are forced to make some impossible decisions about the future of their family.
I only glanced at the monitor a couple times during the shoot, but it looked great. I and an amazing time working with these guys and can't wait to see the finished product!
