I love the idea that Hiccup just unconsciouslymanages to somehow do simple tasks in the most dangerous way possible.

Oh darn you out of fish, should you go to the food supplies or fish near the docks, no decides to ride a dragon out to the middle of nowhere and dive for fish.

I can just imagine a httyd future au where the dragon riders are all part of a gamer Discord/twitch group or smth where they live stream them playing games together. I can equally imagine the Dragon hunters being apart of this.

AKA Viggo and Hiccup having intense online chess matches while everyone watches hiccup loose his shit 24/7 because of Viggo's sneaky moves.

Not my usual content but oh well. I was reading a Harry Potter fanfic the other day, the typical he goes back in time to the founders era fic. AND something really annoyed me, when reading these fanfics one thing I commonly see is the assumption that the founders teach/only know the magical subjects correlating to Harry's times head of houses. To dumb it down people assume that because McGonagall teaches transfiguration that Godrick is a master of transfiguration, same with Helga, Rowena and Salazar.

I PROPOSE THIS:

Helga Hufflepuff: Professor of DADA

Salazar Slytherin: Professor For Herbology

Rowena Ravenclaw: Professor for Care Of Magical Creatures

And Godrick Gryffindor: Professor for Potions.

Here's why:

Helga Hufflepuff is the head of the house representing loyalty and kindness, what better way to protect others and keep those you love safe through learning DADA.

Salazar Slytherin represents the house of the Cunning, in herbology you need to be 5 steps ahead, calculating what plants need reporting, which are more dangerous and how to handle them, it requires a lot of planning as well as requires you to be constantly watching for changes to prevent your plant from dying, magical plants also have many uses.

Rowena Ravenclaw is the head of Ravenclaw, the house of intellect and a thirst for knowledge, magical creatures with sentience have their own languages and societies we can learn a lot from species that differ from our own, new magic and history. Not only that but caring for creatures requires a steady mind and patience.

Finally, Godrick Gryffindor. The representative of bravery, potions is a dangerous subject add too much or too little and you could end up seriously hurt, there is a lack of spell work due to the possibility of causing an unstable reaction so a lot of brute strength is needed, moving cauldrons and having a steady brave hand is key. Not only that but the many dangers like fire and unstable reactions means you need to be brave enough to not falter.

I recently redrew a Trollhunters OC i made back in 2022 so here you go

My idea behind this new design was volcanic, the species name is Vulpure, a troll species similar to Blinky with 6 eyes and a slimer build compared to woodland/cave trolls, this species resides in volcanic areas a few have been seen near Gato's keep but most know to stay far away unless they have a deathwish. They have goat like apendetches, as they are a travel orientated species. Often having long fur resembling their volcanic habitats, few born with more magic have hair that copies the flow of lava as well as the same heat.

While not battle orientated, Their fighting style mostly focuses on quick and precise movement, mostly dependent upon outwitting your opponent or quickly incapacitating them. Their weapons are often spears, bows, and other longer ranged equipment.

They have a weaker bone structure to help with complex movement but disadvantaging them in battle.

As said before, they are not always as involved in violence and fighting as other trolls are, similar to changeling in a way, they are more neutral in the wars. They are a species reliant upon trade. Most of their kind are solitary in nature, either travelling alone or in small groups of up to 5-10. Due to this, they have no monarchy or ruling. It also means their overall standing on which side they are on varies. The Vulpure have no sense of kinship unless you are apart of their group you are an enemy, while they can be civil with one another during trades or political settings outside of that they either ignore their species or are enemies, depending of the personality of a Vulpure.
