Pronunciation: \ˈgra-və-tē\ Function: noun Inflected Form(s): plural grav·i·ties Usage: often attributive Etymology: Middle French or Latin; Middle French gravité, from Latin gravitat-, gravitas, from gravis To simplify things, gravity, besides Newton's and Einstein's definition, is simply a force that attracts all objects to all other objects. In one word, I say it's the verb "pull." Science and grammar have ways of defining things, but what I'm trying to know here is explain this repetitive incident way back during my younger years when every time (or let's say, most of the time) strangely inexplicable things have always been blamed on "gravity." "Why is the sky blue?" Because of the gravity of the earth. "Why is the teacher giving us hard quizzes?" Because of the gravity of the earth. "Why do you have pimples?" Because of the gravity of the earth. "Why are you in love???" Errr, because of the gravity of the earth? Therefore, gravity, other than being simply "pull" has a do with (almost) all things. It's the reason of all reasons. Or better yet, the reason when there's no reason. Which brings me back to the this little nook. I know why the sky is blue, gray and orange. I know why the teacher wanted to punish us with a hundred item quiz. I don't have pimples. I am not in love (maybe). But why am I writing this? I guess I have to do away with the great reason or excuse, "because of the gravity of the earth!"

so paint me a picture and
paint me bright
pains me so you'll remember
exactly what i look like
and hide my picture behind yours
on your wall
so you'll remember what you left behind
after every fall
is the reading
which I have forgotten
in weeks
or poetry writing
in your house
at the garage
where the cats sleep
or at the red sofa
that sinks
or perhaps, at the garden
ah, yes! the garden
where we hear
the words your house
speaks
* this is my take on Larry's "Leaving Reading" post. i don't know how to write poetry as great as he does, but maybe, just maybe, i'll learn from reading the books he's leaving.
* well, he has to go there to comeback. thank you, Larry! bon voyage! :)
Life is a highway, I wanna ride it all night long...
If you're going my way, I wanna drive it all night long!

* thank you horrible memory, for remembering the lines of the song above (read the caption) in the middle of the night, after 2 long weeks of trying to recount it.
Just shoot me: one of the most challenging jobs at the ER is shooting a vein - perfectly. and it takes 10,000 hours of practice to achieve it.

gave Joyce 3 pieces of these yesterday afternoon. she complained and wanted more, but later smiled when i told her how much these bloody cost. yes, these are the most expensive cookies in the world. and i wanna thank my lil sister Beryl for making her wallet bleed, as well as LJ and Denvie for walking acres with her just to purchase 2 boxes of these. :))
Do you hear me,
I'm talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying
Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard
- Jason Mraz, Lucky
* this isn't a love post, though this appears to be one. or whatever. left feet are Marlon's, right ones are mine. we share something about love --- for maki, sushi, anime, milk tea... you know. as well as the thought of seeing each other in London with our significant others. hey, i just can't find a song with an ocean-ish or sea-ish lyrics. :))
new huskies: Brains and Chuzzie
Obviously named after the PopCap Games / characters. Brains, from Plants vs. Zombies' mumbled line "brains, brains, brains," and Chuzzie from the game Chuzzle. Haha!
"...as I bring my color to the page, it's as if I command the world to "Be!" Yes, those who cannot see would deny it, but the truth is, I can be found everywhere."

one of a kind phenomenon on a summer day here in Cebu (only) was seeing a "sun dog" , "parhelia" or "parhelion" up in the sky. i say it's one of a kind because this usually appears on a rainy day.
the white line you see in the picture that somewhat sliced the sun was made by a passing jet plane. what great timing!
how about you? did you stop and stare, too?

it wasn't just me and my little sister who had trouble with the bubbles (and the wind), but also Grover. here, let me share his short poem about bubbles:
little bubble round and fair,
floating slowly through the air.
the wind blows you hither yond,
then you pop! you are all gone!
you last for a teeny while,
but all you do, you make me smile.
