hey guys, i'm getting some clothes for school this break and it appears both my local c0tton 0n stores have phased out all their magnet tags. Instead, the price tags are made out of thick cardboard material that i'm almost certain contains a tag inside. i was planning on just cutting these in half to disable them, will that notify the workers or not? if not these just seem too easy to be true tbh

Quick tip for booze rackin for all ur followers! Safew@ys and Tr@der Jo*s are GOLD MINES. What I do is pick up however many bottles I want lay them in the bottom of my basket n then cover them w bags of chips other misc groceries. Go into a bathroom w ur basket load the booze into ur purse or backpack and either walk out and put other groceries back or purchase! Super easy, super slick, works every time! And u can make bank of bottles so u can actually buy groceries for yourself! Love ur blog 💕

People are catching onto the whole black purse = must be a lifter shit. I’m thinking that maybe instead of everyone going batshit for the black MK Selma, we should start using other color bags. Doesn’t have to be a hot pink purse, but like, in brown or tan or gray or something. Anything that isn’t black, but is still pretty damn neutral.
There’s some super cute ones down at Targ+ but I’d actually have to *gasp* buy one, because of how uptight security is there.
Technically, I already have a lifting bag, but it’s big af and it’s black, and thanks to something someone on here said, I know that now people are starting to sus women just for having big black purses. RIP my beautiful purse LOL, it’s been basically sitting on my closet floor for the past month plus while I was taking a hiatus from lifting and now it’s still sitting there because it’s unlikely that I’m gonna get away with using it without looking sus af with it.

If someone searches for those companies they will appear even tho you didnt use tags for them, and people working for certain businesses are told to look up the names on social media and yeah, they kinda find out what the “ high theft items” are.

To be honest you guys need to stop over doing it with lifting , like I get the getting more than one thing thing but like taking all the eyeshadow palletes that are on the shelf or taking more than one expensive purse at once like cmon guys that’s not smart that’s why they’re hiring more lp and being more cautious around where I am it’s easy to lift from some stores but you never know whose watching you guys have to be careful and stop being extra you aren’t only making it hard for you but you’re making it hard for everyone else

we’re not high tech anymore
a year or two ago when the lifting community was small and new, things like magnets and hooks were some high tech shoplifting tools. now girls who have never even been on liftblr buy magnets online and use them—i guess word just spread around. now i’ve heard staff talk about things like magnets and seen signs by fitting rooms about detagging when i’m out shopping. i feel like our tactics are worn out and our days are coming to a close :(
What if security towers smelled fear

i finally have the time to lift for the first time in MONTHS, but I don't know if I should because LP are probably gonna be everywhere right around the holidays. ughhhh

ok, so youve most likely seen a post floating around that says “dont go lifting as much around the holidays, bc security are tightasses” or something like that?? well listen to those posts, bc its what fucked me over (almost)
so i was at the mall with my friend, who doesnt really lift but still wants me to lift stuff for her and her girlfriend, so i do it (bc i dont mind) and she happened to tag along with me on saturday. this wasnt her fault AT ALL, just my dumbass not doing things i shouldve.
now i frequent this ulta often (at least 2 times in 2 weeks) which isnt the best idea in the first place. mistake number one. im pretty sure some of the SAs recognize me by now, which sucks.
soo ill skip to the juicy part. my friend wanted me to get the ABH creme contour palette, and of course i said yes (bc yanno, its usually easy as shit) and i just nonchalantly slipped it into my lifting bag. mistake numero 2. i didnt check for RFIDs (which ulta usually has, but only really on the naked palettes)so i assumed this contour kit was tag free. we meander over to the urban decay section, where i was attempting to detag an UD ultimate basics palette. it was the only thing in my friend and i’s hands, and thats when an SA walks over, hands us a bag and says “heres one of our totes for your stuff” mistake number 3. i even knew this was a warning sign from tips i have read on here. my friend and i stroll away from the too faced/UD/tarte section into the low-priced stuff (soap and glory, facemasks, etc.) and that same SA “”“happens”“” to walk over and hover around the end of the aisle.
sooo long story short, having the ego i have, i didnt dump what i had in my bag and my friend and i both bought cheap facemasks. we kinda walked at a brisk pace towards the mall exit of the store. and just as i thought we made it clean, i beeped.
now i wasnt looking to get caught at ULTA of all places, so i took a hard left and kept walking until i walked into a christmas sweater store to calm myself down a bit. my friend, of course trailed behind me, said she stayed in the store for like 2 seconds before leaving. she said there wasnt anyone coming towards the door, and no one really looking either.
MORAL OF THE STORY: always check for fuckin tags my dudes. i dont care if ulta doesnt usually tag the brand you want, or if ulta only has one palette in the store tagged. CHECK FOR THEM. i was extremely lucky that day and i thank the lifting gods i didnt get caught and that my friend didnt either. KNOW THE SIGNS OF WHEN AN SA SUSPECTS YOU. hand you a tote when you have nothing in your hands? lowkey follows you through aisles? DITCH AND LEAVE. better to leave with nothing and have your ass saved then to leave with cuffs on, my dudes.
STAY SAFE, BE AWARE, CHECK FOR TAGS, AND KNOW THE SIGNS. be cautious this holiday season, and good luck lifting presents!!

So I was going to UO with a friend, found alllllll this perfect clothing n stuff, tried it on detagged getting good then I go to leave the tags in a jacket and this SA comes over as i’m pulling my hand back n is like “can I get you a dressing room?” I’m like no I already tried stuff on but then they all kept following us around so we couldn’t conceal it was sooo annoying ugh I wanna go back in disguise but i’m still so worried!
