i have a lot to say on this but the first thing that struck me was the new omnitrix design. i think it’s really cool- but just missed the mark, only barely. overall i don’t think it’s bad, but i think the plain gray is not so cool. where’s the black? or some green? but overall the wires make it look very alien- which is something i think is intrinsic to a good omnitrix design.

Another idea (I feel addicted at this point) is Ben being lost in Space for 3 years

Basically, he gets kidnapped by another hunter craving for the Omnitrix, manages to get away but crashes on some unknown planet in different galaxy and, what's even worse, is still tracked by said hunter every time he uses the Omnitrix to transform or communicate

Results?

Ben gets stucked traveling from planet to planet, avoiding using the watch because the hunter kills every alien Ben anyhow engages with, and trying to find the way home

REDESIGNS

I'm back with the redesigns, and this time the full trio is here ^^ They really deserve better clothes, and obviously ones that fit their vibe. I said before Gwen would be whimsigoth, and now i'll continue by saying Ben is definitely a streetwear guy, and Kevin is alt; probably more on the metal side.

I definitely do have a higher preference towards their UAF designs, so i incorporate a bit of that and the OV art style into my designs :P

thinking more about the characterization of ben in ben 10

especially the scene in ultimate alien where ben is asked by kevin why he yells the names of his aliens every time he transforms, and ben goes “because it strikes fear into the hearts of my enemies :3”

he is still just a kid at heart, which is omnipresent even in the more serious tones of UAF.

ben 10 across all of its shows (original continuity) has had questionable writing at times, i am willing to admit that much. but “i am one of everybody” is such a zinger of a line it’s actually crazy
