📰 The Ivy is expanding its much-loved ‘1917 Menu’, a two-course set menu, and priced at £19.17 until the end of February, celebrating the year that the first Ivy restaurant opened in London.
📰 A nationwide study of UK adults reveals that modern luxury is now defined by quality time with loved ones, shared experiences and affordable treats, rather than extravagance, as The Ivy announces the expansion of its iconic 1917 two-course set menu for just £19.17 from now until the end of February.
📰 The findings reflect a cultural shift towards accessible, emotional luxury, experiences that feel special but still fit into everyday life.
📰 With over a third of the British Public (36%) saying they prefer regular, guilt-free treats over occasional big splurges, the research highlights why accessible luxury is becoming the new benchmark.
📰 Mark Askew, Group Executive Chef for The Ivy Collection, said: “It's clear from our research that luxury today is about connection, comfort and quality - not cost… At just £19.17, it is the perfect antidote to the winter blues, giving guests an opportunity to continue enjoying life’s small luxuries, even when budgets are feeling stretched after Christmas.”

🎭 Next week, Inspector Morse pays a visit to the Liverpool Playhouse in 'House of Ghosts', starring Tom Chambers as Inspector Morse in a stageplay written by the Liverpool City Region's very own Screenwriter & Playwright, Alma Cullen, who was behind the original TV Series.
🎭 A chilling mystery unfolds when a young actress suddenly dies on stage during a performance, and Detective Chief Inspector Morse embarks on a gripping investigation.
🎭 Anthony Banks, Director of 'Inspector Morse: House of Ghosts', said: “Alma Cullen’s original Morse story contains a play-within-a-play — an inspired concept for a murder mystery which reveals the similarities between playing a part when acting and covering up a crime!”
🎭 This production comes to the Liverpool Playhouse from Tuesday the 13th to Saturday the 17th of January 2026. 'Inspector Morse: House of Ghosts' is an original story written for the stage and is a must-see for fans of compelling detective drama and thrilling mysteries.

🧘 Liverpool yoga teacher, Jenni Jones, Owner of Yoga Bumps Liverpool and the woman who introduced the City’s first pregnancy-focused classes twenty years ago, is now supporting three generations of local women in a multitude of ways as demand for women’s health and wellbeing support continues to grow.
🧘 Jenni Jones, who lives in Crosby, began teaching pregnancy yoga in 2005 at a time when most people in the Liverpool City Region had never heard of classes tailored specifically to expectant Mums. She remembers launching her first session just weeks after becoming a Mum herself and wondering if anyone would turn up.
🧘 Since then, more than 16,000 women across the LCR have passed through her classes at venues including Liverpool Women’s Hospital, St Hilda’s School, community centres in Crosby and West Derby, and online.
🧘 Alongside pregnancy yoga, Jenni has spent the last two decades training in women’s health and supporting women through major life transitions, in addition to her work doing yoga.
🧘 Jenni Jones, the trailblazer of pregnancy yoga in Liverpool, said: “When I started, pregnancy yoga wasn’t known in the City. People didn’t know what it was or whether it would be suitable. Over the years, I’ve seen women through their first pregnancy and then their second, third, fourth and fifth. Now I’m meeting daughters of women I supported twenty years ago, which feels incredibly special.”
