I blamed my burnt hands on a faulty guiding flame, I blamed my brothers for lighting the flame and my family for neglecting it, I hid the pain of the flame because I believed it just a source of misery.

I realize I'm foolish, if I wear blinders of my path then following film was stupid. But it's the path that brought me joy, that brought me friends, that let me tell stories. They aren't good, pacman is rough, box head was a messy joke, I barely had a hand on the projects that won awards, the ones I did were just because I am good at cliches. But I don't care if it wasn't my dream, staying up late watching films and studying them as a kid. I enjoyed the path, running around pretending I was in call of duty, putting a cardboard box on a guys head n filming a cheesy spy film, learning of a fun series of budget video games.

My continuation of the comic I was working on lead me down a path of feeling empty, of abandonment and hollow dreams. But I think I'm just looking at the past with shades, I'm cringe but I've lived a relatively good life. Right now, as I begin to kickstart my life for the third or fourth time, I need to pull back and see that it's okay. I am not in a perfect spot but overall I'm okay and I'll be okay.

New flames appear, the soot on my hands grow thicker. As I follow their paths I'm left with nothing but a field of ash. I'm tired of walking, carrying an invisible weight that refuses to name itself.

I chased the flame that I believed was my guiding light, once I caught it, all I got was burnt hands and darkness.

The joker and his henchmen are looting a massive bank in Gotham, pure chaos with the joker in the middle twirling in the circle eagerly waiting for batman to arrive.

Batman comes flying in and kicks the joker in the stomach, causing him to fall to his knees coughing.

Joker: "w-what the hell was that bats?!"

Batman: "I'm here to stop yo-"

Joker: "I've got ten handsome henchmen over there, none of which have batarang bruises. You always start by throwing a right hook at me and that kick was just you trying to finish this. Why are you rushing this bats? Got an important date??"

Henchmen: "handsome?"

Batman: "N-no.. I'm sorry.. it's just.. today is the anniversary of my parents... Uh, passing. I'm just not in the mood right now."

Joker: "oh fuck that's today?! Shit I'm sorry batman, let's... Hang on. 'Everyone hold off! We are done here.' let's do something else Batman, what would you like to do?"

Batman: "I need to patrol the city for crime"

Joker: "no no no that's what you WANT to do, what do you NEED? How about this, I've got some old kung fun movies on VHS, let's call commissioner Gordon, grab some drinks and snacks and just enjoy the evening hanging out."

Batman: "that... That sounds really nice. Thank you "

Joker: "of course batsy, tomorrow we can fight it's okay. 'henchmen! Swap to guard mode! Batsy and I need to go get some ice cream!'"

Batman and joker chuckle to each other as they walk out of the bank all the henchmen swapping from their polkadot beanies to jet black beanies as they begin cleaning up the bank.

Hench 1: "oh what? Now we gotta protect Gotham? That's lame."

Hench 2: "the fuck you mean? Guarding duties pay double for the joker."

Hench 1: "wait what?!"

Hench 2: "didn't you read the packet?"

Hench 1: "damn no I stopped at the health insurance bit. Fuck yeah let's protect Gotham!"

Hench 2: "I heard penguin is doing some shit downtown, first one to kick his ass gets a bonus!"

All the henchmen cheer as they run out the bank.

It’s the season of mushroom🍂

Smoke fills the room turning a once large open room into a claustrophobic mess. Alarms are screaming, lights are flashing as you lay on the floor surrounded by consoles of buttons and levers. Scrambling to your feet, swiping at the smoke to try and get a better view, you notice several buttons are now jammed with the steering wheel locked sideways. The front window sees nothing but a rock you fell into, leaving you desperately hitting everything hoping for a response.

The buttons no longer work.

The levers no longer move.

The steering wheel is locked.

Try with all your might, nothing changes.

The machine around you slowly starts to hum to life, it's a miracle! It pulls itself back from the mountain face, leaving behind a crater of it's head. The visor is blurry but you can tell you are standing again.

But the wheel is still locked.

But the buttons are still broken

But the levers still don't move.

With all your might, nothing responds.

The machine starts to walk without your input. Without regard to anything around it. Without even realizing it has no pilot. It walks. Try as you might, nothing responds to your pleas. You are a lost voice in the head of a lost machine.

Although if you try it on the xbox version you might summon a technomancer Other, probably a cartoon character with bleeding eyes
