I've pretty much made up my mind that I am going to become a super human being.
Two Jobs in One!
How come it feels like I have two jobs rolled in to one? The first being the actual job, and the second, being an acting job, where I must pretend I am this friendly "normal" human being?
Never Have I Ever...
Have you ever just wanted to re-invent yourself? Become almost a new version of yourself. Cleansing yourself of who you previously were in order to start anew.
I’ve contemplated this for awhile now, and what I’ve learned is that it is a process; and that I’m insanely competitive.
Irrational Fear #1
Not my number one irrational fear, but if I had to start anywhere I suppose this is as good a place as any.
I am afraid of interviews with the classical young HR rep. I understand they choose these people because their friendly demeanor is suppose to bring people at ease, but I for some reason feel the exact opposite.
I never feel comfortable around them. In fact, I almost feel like an alien visiting another planet any time I make my way to an office of one of these associates.
So....I consider this an irrational fear.
Good news!
It looks like I will be able to start uploading photos of my vintage finds for sale.
This should be happening after August 9th.

Nerves
Why do you control me so?
Scared of normal
I will never understand how some people are content with a generic life. The whole wake up everyday, kiss the wife/husband goodbye, drive to work, sit down at a customer service desk, be haggled by the boss Jim, harressed by customers, go home, and repeat. I understand being content and comfortable is important. I strive for those feelings, but being the whipping horse of a company who refuses to let you get further than where you are is not what I want. I also believe the whole, "The customer is always right", mantra is complete BS. Here's to never getting pinned down
Two of my greatest fears...
Peoples’ opinions, and assumptions. I wish I could believe that skulls are just hollow shells. I’m almost there.
We went to Popham Beach yesterday and I found this little guy in a shallow pool. It is the first sand dollar I have ever found in water. There is something about walking on the beach that brings my mind at ease, as cliche as that sounds. Usually I am full of turmoil, but there I can lose my mind (in the good kind of way). I also found some cool vintage art this weekend at some yard sales. I will get to posting those as soon as I can
A little something for everyone..
I am an artist first and foremost. I specialize in Graphite illustration, colored pencil illustration, and micron pen illustration.
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
I reside in the coastal parts of Maine, so right by the great Atlantic Ocean!
As a hobby I go antiquing. I love finding vintage, and classic, reproductions of works of art (lithographs). I also have an eye for Americana decoration. The mentioned items are not only what I collect, and SELL, but I also include various other finds into my Instagram feed (my new insta page is @themainemaiden).
Basically what I find and post is generally how I decorate my surroundings; but I can’t keep it all!
and a last side note...As a Mainer, I enjoy collecting things from the beach! (inserts little mermaid jingle).
I will occasionally post photos of what I have found and what could potentially be for sale! I hope you all enjoy!
Thanks
