Updated Intro Post!!

It's been a while since I've done one of these, and a good bit has happened since so here we go!

Hi there! I'm James! I'm a 19 year old gay transmasc demiboy (he/they) with autism spectrum disorder and moderate inattentive ADHD. I'm a massive lover of the arts who hopes to get a job in broadcast journalism. I am a massive theatre kid and am even a board member at my local community theatre! When I'm not on stage, I like to write stories and musicals, as well as listen to music. I'm also a Dungeons and Dragons player!

My special interest is WWE and is still going strong after 11 years! My favorite wrestlers currently are Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes, Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, and Seth Rollins. However, my current hyperfixations are K-Pop Demon Hunters, Deltarune, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure! Those change pretty frequently, though so beware. I'm also a yumeshipper (to be cringe is to be free okay). My current f/os are Dean and Sam Winchester (Supernatural), Castiel (Supernatural), and Jean Pierre Polnareff (JJBA)! I am okay with sharing!

I don't have a reliable income, and I'm still trying to figure out my Etsy shop. Speaking of, I do indeed have an Etsy shop! I will link it at the bottom of the post! Long Time No See, Eh?

Heyyy there guys! Mod James here. So I kinda abandoned HBA for a while due to mental health issues and personal life changes that required more of my attention. However, now that I plan on moving to college in a couple days. I figured why not reignite my mission to make Hartbreak into more than just an Ao3 fanfiction? I'm revamping it into an audiobook instead of an animation like before. However, I'm looking for a couple of new voice actors! Auditions can be submitted using the link below!

Discord is the primary method of communication for this project, so I highly recommend getting it if you can. If you have Discord, put your username in when submitting your audition (using the text description). Also, I do not mind about audio setups too much. Seeing as I am a beginner as well, I do not expect perfection. As long as I can understand your words, whatever setup you have is fine with me! I understand not everyone can afford professional/really good equipment. I plan to get back to all by the 16th since I will have finished my first week of classes by then.

Introduction to this Blog

Hello everyone! My name is James and I'm a 19 year old soon-to-be college freshman. I am going to be attending Winthrop University at the start of the Spring 2026 semester and plan to major in mass communications with a specialty in journalism! I am a transgender male with a love for writing and the arts in general! I do theatre in my spare time, while also being a board member at my local community theatre! Since I started in 2022, I've been in multiple junior and adult productions as an actor, stagehand, up in the light booth running spotlights, or simply just ushering! As much as I love performing, I find it just as fun to tell a story by... you guessed it, writing!

I primarily made this account as a side blog for whatever my brain could conjure up, but then I forgot about it (as one does when they're busy). As I write this, I am just days away from moving to my college dorm to start my journey in postsecondary education. So what do I do to prepare myself and keep myself busy? Start a journalism blog, of course! Well... sort of.

See, I have no experience with reporting, but I do love to write. Whether it be essays, fanfiction, or even a musical, writing gives me an outlet to persuade, inform, or even just entertain myself and create a new world different from the one we live in now. I'd love to hear tips from fellow mass comms/journalism students, those who have made a career out of journalism, or just writing advice in general! I also want to get back into the habit of properly researching events. Feel free to use the ask box to request events for me to research/write about. I'm pretty good at informative and opinion pieces, so I think I'll start out with those.

Before I go, here's some more about myself!

I am neurodivergent, being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and sensory processing disorder at the age of 5 and moderate inattentive type ADHD at the age of 18. I also struggle with many of the conditions/symptoms that come with it, like Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria and Pathological Demand Avoidance.

I struggle with depression and anxiety.

As a kid, I wanted to be a firefighter or a chiropractor. As I started to go into high school, I wanted to be a screenwriter before settling on radiology. I tried some pre-requisite courses over the summer and burnt out fast. Now, I'm trying the mass comms track!

I struggled to hold down a job for a while. My first job was McDonalds. After that, I briefly worked at Burlington. Currently, I'm employed with Lowes Foods! Although I'm leaving for college, I will hopefully be working there again over the summer or during breaks when I'm back home with my parents.

I'm currently in the works of getting voice actors for a passion project based on my longest running fanfiction. I am also a beginner voice actor in my own right. I've only been casted once in a project still ongoing, but I hope to get more roles as time goes on!

The best I have for a portfolio is a silly little thing I did for Hartbreak Associates and then a couple more scenarios I voice acted. Idk if an original song counts for anything, but I doubt it will. I wanna be creative while I still can. Any help can be appreciated!

If you told me a year ago that I would be cast for my first voice acting role as Cheese Sandwich from MLP:FiM for an audiobook, I would have thought you were lying. Yet here we are! I'm so grateful for this opportunity and excited to be apart of such a project!
