As a fellow black beatles fan, I’m so shocked by what has happened in this fandom. Finding out that @dustinopizzaroll and @blm-blacklivesmatter-blm were also black beatles fans was like a breath of fresh air because I thought for a while that I was the only one. But now seeing the hate they’ve got!? And for what, being poc!?!?!? It’s only made me more angry and upset that I can’t enjoy their music and the cool things this fandom has to offer; the art, memes, writing, for the colour of my skin!? And to think some of these people sending racists anons may have BLM on their blogs. This is 2021 not 1960s. This isn’t a whites only space. Any POC should be allowed to enjoy their time in this fandom not alienated and bullied for enjoying something so simple - music.

If you really believe that Black Lives Matter then you would allow BAME writers, artists, contributors and fans to enjoy the fandom you are in, being welcoming and work on being anti-racist. Not have BLM on your blog for performative activism and then send racist anons to the POC trying to enjoy themselves.

I hope I’ve made my point clear and I’ve removed the anonymous option in the asks so if anyone wants to send any racist anons can either stay away as cowards or call themselves out by sending them anyway and don’t think I won’t share it with everyone any time it happens. To the BAME fans in the classic rock fandom that needs someone like them to talk to or need a safe space to go to, my inbox is open. And to those who turn a blind eye and continue debating if mclennon is real or whatever, know that your complacency while BAME fans are struggling is just as bad because it means you don’t even care and that we aren’t worth being a part of the fandom.

What makes people think that 'If I fell' was written for Paul?

John wrote this song in 1964, when he was married with Cynthia. He sings that he’s in love, but this time it’s different, he has never been so in love before, he sings to:

‘please, if I love you, don’t run and hide’.

Why should Cynthia hide and run away? they were married.

Then he sings that she will cry when she’ll realize they’re two

‘So I hope you see that IWould love to love youAnd that she will cryWhen she learns we are two’

In the studio, John and Paul asked to share one microphone to sing this song.

In 1980 he said that it was his first love song, and it wasn’t written for Cynthia.

Then later admitted that he used to change the pronouns in ‘she’ in his songs.

I wanna talk about how weird and gross and destructive and harmful it is that Yoko still for some reason includes Janov and primal scream therapy in the JohnandYoko canon when it has been quite soundly questioned, debunked and heavily criticized by most therapists and psychologists

The man, till the day he died in 2017, believed he had cured homosexuality with his “therapy” and Yoko still thinks it’s cool to promote him and his fake ass scam pseudoscience. I am currently looking at a book published THIS MONTH, which Yoko produced and was a creative director of, that has a whole chapter about Janov that is just pages and pages of Janov talking about how great his therapy is and how good it was for John and Yoko. Like absolutely fuck off.
