Uhh greetings Tumblr. I decided to start this blog to share more abt my silly little interests, since I don't always have the energy to write chapters with over 1000+ words for Ao3 lmao.

You can call me Ivory. I’m just your average gay trans guy. I mainly lurk because I’m awkward lol.

Another thing to note, the "18+" in my bio is in reference to my age. I don't feel comfortable sharing my exact age on the internet (it's just the way I've been raised) but I am an adult. very very random post but i just had to get it out of my head

not naming names but was watching a vod of a panel and one of the vas was asked about a really difficult scene they had to voice for (which is fine, its not the important part)

the part that irked me though was several of the other vas (including the one that was asked the question) mocking the original jpn va for a video that went viral of them voicing the same scene.

and it just pissed me the hell off bc the eng va for the character is SEVERELY lacking compared to what the jpn va brings to them. the eng va seems like a really nice person, but there is no way they think their delivery was even at the same level let alone better than the subbed version. the eng va has been in several other things and unfortunately has that akwafina thing going for them where they sound exactly the goddamn same and they seem to bend every character to fit with their personality. listening to the original subbed voices is wonderful, bc i feel like i'm actually hearing a whole new character and seeing their proper personality.

and to mock someone who is the whole reason you even get to voice the dubbed version of the character just feels incredibly scummy.

yes, the video of the jpn va was a bit shocking, especially to anybody in the west, but the jpn va brings life to the subbed version of the character that just falls flat with the eng va.

I legitimately do not understand how anti-shippers can complain about incest in fiction and then proceed to like Greek mythology hell I even seen a anti ship Hera and Zeus together while saying they're strictly against fictional incest

I don't know really any thing about Greek mythology but pretty sure that is in fact fictional incest 😭🙏🏻 but I guess who ever ships that isn't that educated.

I know very little about Greek mythology, but I can confirm that is in fact fictional incest. Hera and Zeus are brother and sister. Zeus also has several children with his other sister Demeter, children with several of his own children as well as their children, and so on and so forth.

But antis aren't ready for that conversation yet.
