// Hereâs my opinion about the movie. I thought it was good and that it definitely captured the essence of Dianaâs character. However, the comics are better and thatâs what I will be sticking with here.Â

// As much as I like the origin story where Hippolyta sculpts Diana from clay and Zeus gives her life, I infinitely prefer the origin story where Hippolyta was already pregnant with Diana when she became Queen of the Amazons.Â

Today, Jen was that person with the complicated coffee order, so she wasnât sure she could speak. Still, she gave Diana, a bit of her idol (but sheâs playing it casual, cool) a small shrug after a sip. âIt depends on so much, I think. I think weâre too obsessed with stuff sometimesâ having it, not having itâ but it really just varies wildly from country to country.â She hummed.
âI think we could be happier with less stuff, but I get it. I mean, I was raised in that. Itâs the culture.â She pondered it. âI guess we just collect things to make us happy. Itâs not the worst, Iâve got collections, but I think we, as a society, do have too much stuff sometimes. It doesnât take much to read that America has always been an acquisitive place though. I wouldnât have a job if we werenât.â
âThat is very true.â Diana had never really thought about a lawyerâs job that way before. On Themyscira, there hadnât been any lawyers. If someone had something for which they needed arbitration of some kind, they could go to her mother. However, Hippolyta hadnât been a lawyer. She had been more of a judge and that fit her role as a queen perfectly.Â
âI read somewhere that itâs not a sin to be poor,â she said as she caught a glimpse of her reflection in the coffee. Five thousand years old and she didnât look a day over thirty. âBut I suppose that itâs probably good that people acquire some little things that make them happy. Steve has a collection of watches like you wouldnât believe. I suppose, though, that he could be forgiven that. If you saw my closet, you would probably think that I have nothing better to do than go shopping all day,â she said with a wink.Â
@hulksdontdoweak
âPeople never cease to surprise me. The amount of things that they add to their coffee, for example,â she said lifting her Starbucks cup. âTheyâre all unnecessary. Just like all of the things that people spend their entire lives acquiring - art, movies, porcelain dolls. They donât need them, but they buy them just the same. Amazons are not acquisitive, Jen, weâre satisfied with what we have. I think thatâs a better way to live, donât you?âÂ
@hiredassault
Diana held the lasso in her hands. Her face was made of stone. Her voice was steady. âTell me the truth, Floyd,â she said whispering into his ear. âWho hired you to kill me and how much did they pay?âÂ
@oflcorp
âA friend of mine told me that your brother is running for President of the United States,â Diana said. âShould I be concerned?âÂ
// Iâm watching Wonder Woman and getting major muse, so like this if you would like a starter.

cfthedemcn:
Returning to Gotham hadnât been in her plans. At least not quite so soon. Sheâd left after some of her plans had started to show signs of failure and a part of her had hoped that some time away might give her a new perspective on the situation. It had and it hadnât, and her small compound was starting to feel like it was closing in on her. Maybe it was time to return to Gotham, to her apartment and the views it gave her. Maybe in the city sheâd find the thing that blocked her from figuring out just where she wold go next. MaybeâŚ
âIâd say you were given how you just waltzed in here knowing Iâm surrounded by assassins.â Hearing that Bruce was in trouble only solidified her decision to return to Gotham. Not many knew that she still had feelings for the man she once called husband. And in all honesty, she wanted to keep it that way. But if he was in trouble, Talia would return to help. If only because she couldnât handle the thought of him dying. âWere Bruce not involved I wouldâve told you you were out of luck. But I will help you contain the Joker. The last I heard he was safely locked away in Arkham. How did he get free?â
âThey put him on some kind of medication,â Diana replied. She had done her own investigative work before she had sought out Talia, but most of it led nowhere. Jack Napier, as he called himself, had made sure that all of the clues about his recent transformation were locked away. âIâm not sure whether he overdosed or not, but the warden at Arkham let him out. After that, it was as if he was a brand new man and, now, heâs running for mayor saying that Batman is the villain in all of this.âÂ
Diana had gone to her other friends to ask for help. She had made phone calls and crisscrossed the country in her invisible plane. Some of them wanted to help, but found that their hands were tied with things that they were doing at home. Others couldnât be reached because they were on the other side of the universe doing who knows what and Diana didnât want to risk tracking them down. Every day counted. That was why she was here talking to someone that she barely knew and who could have killed her if she wanted to.Â
âHe says that heâs the white knight or something like that,â Diana continued. âAnyway, Batman is on the run and has been for a while. Heâs still in Gotham as far as I know, so that makes things a little bit easier.âÂ
riddleculed:
â Hmm. A puzzle indeed, â remarked the green suited man, gloved finger running back and forth over his his bottom lip pensively.Â
â A most FORTUITOUS thing our missing batty friend has got the best detective on the case then. â A grin as Ed presented a business card with a sleight of hand flick of the wrist. Ed Nigma || Private Investigator || 1-800-555-CLUE!  â You might have heard? Iâve âgone straightâ as they say. All cured!! â
Diana took the business card from Edward and looked at it carefully. It looked very professional. There wasnât anything about it to arouse her suspicions either. She knew that Edward could sometimes pull tricks out of his hat like the best magicians and nobody would have been the wiser.
âWhat can I do for you?â she asked. âOr, rather, is there something that we can do together?âÂ

      âDonât a lot of gods and goddesses make a lot of stupid choices?â Victor didnât live during that time, and all he really knows are from the stories and from what people tell him who have been around. âI mean, thatâs what a lot of the stories are about. Making the right choice, and how most of the time it doesnât end up being made correctly.â
âAnd how do we know that the choice weâre making is the right one or that weâre making it correctly? Sometimes, two options can be presented to someone and both of them look equally enticing,â Diana replied. âWhen I was much younger than I am today, I was given a choice. Either I could take the man I loved back to his home and never see my homeland again or I could stay in my homeland and never see the man I loved. I chose the first, but I cannot help wondering if I shouldnât have chosen the second.â
