i've got the kind of eyebags that make people in movies say 'you look like hell, detective. go home.'
My body may be gone, but not my love
so I already had the head canon that Law is actually really good a sewing and embroidering not just because he's a surgeon and knows his way around a needle, but because he probably regularly patched up and mended his own clothes when he was a kid with the Donquixote family I also really love the idea that Law's coat that he wears in Dressrosa was something he made himself and that it was actually a very emotional and somewhat cathartic experience
but I was just thinking about the Hear Pirates and their uniforms when you think about them, they're just pretty basic boiler suits with their jolly roger on it and now I'm kind of obsessed with the idea of Law coming up with the idea of embroidering their suits (tho I think the jolly roger on the back would be a patch) now I can't stop thinking of Law trying to teach Bepo, Penguin, and Shachi how to embroider when they first formed the Heart Pirates and at some point he ends up giving up teaching them and doing it for them and every time they gain a new crew member Law gets them a suit in their size and personally embroiders it it's my personal hc that all of the Heart Pirates had some kind of traumatic experience and/or felt as if they didn't belong anywhere before Law offered them a place on his crew and to me nothing would make it more clear that they were wanted and accepted than being given a uniform that had been hand embroidered by their new captain š„¹
so can we start hunting down white liberals now or what
The full picture is even more heart breaking after you open the uncropped version. Just a heads-up, it's rough
āThe Roman Catholic Parish in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was just grafitted.ā
Nah letās post it. Letās feel it. Donāt look away.
I notice alot of my followers on here skipping these posts just to mess with my lgbt ones, suspiciously the white popular ones.
Heres a not so friendly reminder, as an lgbt metis person, i dont give a single fuck what your blog is themed or if this is too painful for you to look at. Reblog this post. Reblog this post with the sources of the 751 children who were found.
Your compliance and silence as well as the compliance and silence of your ancestors is what allowed these schools to open and kill first nations children. The children of MY people.
Dont follow me if you cant reblog this post or the one with sources to your political blog or your most popular blog. Add trigger warnings if you must but if your political blog is only focused on the harms you personally face like being lgbt then you need to see some bigger pictures and stop being afraid of angering your racist mutural or actually saying some shit about racism. If you can reblog some antifa graphics or add blm to your bio to be a surface level ally, you can reblog some sources on the genocide first nations people faced and still face today.
They were CHILDREN.
They were murdered in cold blood.
Iād like to add this photo I took last night in Victoria of the statue of Captain Cook. Though I myself am not indigenous, I 100% agree that these murderers, kidnappers and rapists shouldnāt have huge statues and plaques that decorate them and say how āgreatā they were.
Hereās another photo of the legislative assembly from yesterday. Later on there were more items, candles and signs at the memorial, as well as a big poster with 1505 painted on it but I didnāt get a picture
People need to see this. Not just quickly glance at the photos and keep on scrolling. They need to see this.
Reblog this or just stop following me
I had seen the first picture of the church, but not the second.
I went to a āCancel Canada Dayā event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.
This is my countryās legacy - and itās not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.
They were all children, injured, abused, and killed in my countryās attempt to erase them. I want the world to see this and hold the state accountable to *active* reconciliation> I mean we could at least truly adopt UNDRIP in action instead of words for godās sake.
here you can read an article about a survivor of the church and some of the things he experienced to help put into perspective how awful and just how recent it was
this is the memorial at the vancouver art gallery. 215+ pairs of childrenās shoes (as well as stuffed toys and flowers) cover the stepsā¦
Something, something, I finally finished another fic, yeah. I keep clogging up my favorite tags
Summary:
In this crazy world, of course, there was a place for this strange phenomenon ā sometimes people destined for each other, soulmates, became connected by a golden string. Brook was sure that it was all a thing of the past for him, along with the piece of string that his captain had taken with him. But in a moment of desperation, a new golden string begins to wrap around his wrists.

CHECK OUT your differences in wand technique hereĀ and how fluidly and casually Ron throws a curse in comparison to Harry and HermioneĀ Hermione has done the reading and is technically perfect of courseĀ Elbow straight; wrist bentĀ Wand tip aligned with left sightlineĀ left arm held loosely behind her for balanceĀ Harry hasnāt ever done the readingĀ Grip too tight; elbow lockedĀ Shoulders raisedĀ Left elbow cranked in awkwardly against his bodyĀ Kidsāll imitate his awful techniqueĀ and Junior AurorsĀ itāll make their parents nuts; donāt twist your neck like that I donāt care what Auror Potter doesĀ When you save wizardkind you can hold your wand however you wantĀ until then drop your shouldersĀ Ronās been around wand users since birthĀ practiced with twigs and then his brothersā wandsĀ Look at how the movement flows from his centerĀ the way he uses his whole bodyĀ throws out his opposite hand behind him to counterbalance the movementĀ Harry and Hermione get their wands into position and then throw the curseĀ Ronās spell starts mid-motion because he knows his wand will be in position in timeĀ (helenish)
Mmmmmmm, yes.
There will be a day when I see this and I will scroll past.
Today is not that day
Plus Ron is casting his curse non-verbally. ThatāsĀ very difficult and it requires training and practice to successfully cast a nonverbal spell. Itās success is determined by the amount of concentration and mental discipline of the witch or wizard. But this is Ron Weasley he likely didnāt put training and practice into casting non-verbal spells, this advanced magic comes to him naturally. The only other time we see him cast a non-verbal spell is when he accidentally made it snow in the great hall, and that was onlyĀ becauseĀ Lavender was glaring him down after he said Hermioneās name while he was unconscious in the hospital wing. He felt crappy and his emotions were so intense he unknowingly made it snow. Here heās trapped in a muggle cafe, with his best friend and the girl he loves. Heās probably scared, and angry but most of all protective. He wants to defeat these Death Eaters without anything happening to his team. His emotions are intense again and that allows him to cast a powerful non-verbal spell. No, not even a spell, a curse. Weāve seen Hermione cast non-verbal spells loads of times but even here she says the curse to ensure itās potency. Ron is concentrated and disciplined enough in this moment to curse a Death Eater without any words at all.
