So, although I’ve been away from the blog, it doesn’t mean I haven’t still been shopping, trying out new products, and creating fun make up looks, and today I’ve got some Bare Minerals products to show to you, I’m sure you’ll agree, they’re beautiful!
I can’t lie, I am a bit obsessed with Bare Minerals, I love how the products don’t have any nasties in, I love the company’s ethos, I love the products and I enjoy wearing them.
The two foundations of theirs I love are the Original (who doesn’t love this foundation to be honest?!) and Complexion Rescue. I would say Complexion Rescue is in between a Tinted Moisturiser and a Foundation, for consistency and coverage. I like a sheer covering foundation so it’s perfect for me, though if you prefer something fuller coverage Bareskin is going to be your best friend.
I picked up the Original Foundation in Fairly Light, and Complexion Rescue in Vanilla. They look gorgeous together if you’re looking for a more flawless coverage, or beautiful on their own.
I like to apply the Original Foundation with their Beautiful Finish Brush, and I use my Zoeva 102 to apply Complexion Rescue. The foundations retail at £26 and the brush is £24. (The Zoeva brush is part of the Rose Gold set).
I also picked up a couple of their blushes, these two colours are right up my street, pinky, plummy shades, I’m definitely not a peach kind of girl, I prefer the lighter pinks and the deep plum shades, they seem to compliment my skin tone and hair colour better.
On the left is Secrets Out, the right is The Indecent Proposal.
I love the colours of both of these blushes, they give a healthy blushed, and pinched look to the cheeks and I find they last well on my skin, as I have a hard time finding blushers that last on my skin. These blushes retail at £22.
I also grabbed some of their lip products, a liner, lipgloss and two lipsticks which I’m totally in love with and I know you will be too!
The lipgloss is in the colour Hypnotist, and it changes to the colour of your skin, it’s a really unique and beautiful shade, it also has that minty plumping feeling when you apply it, which some people hate, but I really enjoy. The lip glosses retail at £16.
The lipliner is in the shade Thrilled which is a rosy nude shade which to be honest can go under most shades of lipstick or on it’s own. I love the staying power of these lipliners, and they’ve a good choice of colours too. The lipliners retail at £13.
The two lipsticks I chose were Speak Your Mind, which is the slightly pinkier shade, and Break Away which is a deeper browny nude shade. The lipsticks are super creamy, but last well and they’ve a lovely range of colours. They retail at £17.
I then picked up the eyeshadow quad in ‘Happy Place’ which has a great dupe for MAC’s Cranberry and some other beautiful smokey shades, which a great pinky matte colour to blend it all out with.
The eyeshadows are buttery and beautifully pigmented, having two matte and two shimmery colours in the palette just helps to create a beautiful eye look, which I created yesterday and took a couple of pictures of.
The eyeshadow palette retails at £29.
So, all in all I’m loving Bare Minerals and their products, I am also loving their Glow Pads from their skin care range, but maybe they’ll feature in a skin care routine soon!
