“ And how are you so sure of yourself? “
"I have every reason to be. There's nothing to be afraid of."
Lucy’s eyes widen as a grin appears on her face. “What can I say, huh?” Another fit of giggles takes over as she lays back against the sand of the beach.
Falling back beside her, he tenatively takes her hand. "I'm glad you agreed to come with me. Most girls just ignore me."
✝ "You know I love you. I promise we won't get caught. No one's home-"
Lucy quickly drew back more of the blunt before handing it back over to him. “Parents. They’d freak out if they found me smoking cannabis on their front lawn.” She giggled again, chewing on her bottom lip.
Another hit and he was back to talking. The effects of the drug making him a bit more confident than usual. "Yeah? I think girls who smoke weed on their front lawn are incredibly sexy-"
Lucy smirks at his actions before taking the blunt from his fingers and placing it between her lips, inhaling the thick smoke. She grinned widely at the sensation, tipping her head back and giggling uncontrollably. “Shit, I haven’t done this sorta thing in years.”
She was adorable. They'd barely even begun and she was already lighthearted and funny. "Why not?" He reaches out for her to pass it over with a smile. "I definitely recommend it. It's very entertaining."
chamomileafternoons:
Beth gladly took the blunt from his fingers, taking a hit without hesitation. She leaned against the wall they were sitting by before exhaling, a lazy smirk ever present on her face. It was hard to see the companion across from her, but that was the last thing on her mind at the moment. She took another deep breath of the blunt before finally giving it back. “You know,” she exhaled, already starting to feel the effects of the drugs, “we should do this more often.”
He watched closely as she slowly began to react to the hit. It was a pleasant feeling; floating through time and space and not caring about the world around oneself. Tate waved his hand to disperse the grey fog and coughed lightly. "Yeah? You enjoy hogging all my weed?" The boy joked with her often. It was something enjoyable.

“ —— Jesus Christ, Tate!! Why is it so fun to scare the shit out of me? “
"It's fun because you react so well!! It's super entertaining for me."

“Long time no see, huh?”
His eyes fall as he shuffles his feet. "Yeah. I guess."

“ Something wrong, Mr. Langdon? “
"Yes. No. I don't even know anymore."
please don’t say you love me ‘cause I might not say it back,
doesn’t mean my heart stops skipping when you look at me like that
starter based off of this plot.
✝ Lighting up, he inhales deeply before holding the blunt out to the other person. His lungs were filled with the musky smoke, and he wasn't really able to speak at the time. As his mind began to swim, he smiled boyishly and allowed the air to escape through his nostrils. Wisps filling the air all around him and making visibility sparse.
"Your turn."

Depending on the day school was either a hit or miss. Sometimes she could just go through the day not having to try to explain her existence– most people would just walk past her and not even acknowledge there was a person there. She was plain, average– her pet was the only thing that made people notice her. Her oxygen tank– otherwise known as her pet– would always seem to make people uncomfortable. Most would try to sit a bit away from her as if her disease was contagious (they didn’t even ask what she had, everyone just assumed she was going to give them a deadly disease).
People watching had become a hobby of hers. It was funny how much she could learn from watching people interact with one another, seeing how people would act a certain way around someone and then completely change their whole demeanor and act on the other side of the spectrum from before. High School was just a giant science experiment that people think is funny: putting teenagers into a rigorous, taxing environment and watch as their stress and insecurities tear them apart from the inside out so that the ‘education system’ can get them ready for adulthood.
Out of everyone Emma had analyzed, only one seemed to be different. The boy who sat in front of her in history, Tate Langdon, never seemed to break under the pressure of the invisible force that pressed down on every one of them to conform to society’s norms. He had never really seemed to ever take notice of her so it was a bit surprising to have him suddenly turn around and call her out for her staring.
“Oh– uh– no. Sorry, I was just…” She stumbled over her words, nothing really solid came to mind to use as an excuse for her actions, “–not really good at coming up with excuses.”
HE’D SEEN THE girl around school and he knew about her situation. She was sick and people pitied her because of that. In his eyes, the girl seemed strong enough. Her attitude was calm and resilient despite the fact that everyone was always discussing her well-being. It didn’t seem like any of that was really their business, but they didn’t seem to care. Other people’s lives were their favorite things to meddle around in. Pathetic.
As soon as the words passed his lips and danced through the realm of audibility, he regretted it. Tate hadn’t meant to sound so cruel. Staring had always bothered him; the boy wasn’t a bug under a microscope and he didn’t deserve to be treated that way.
“Yeah?” He paused. “Well, do you need something or are you just enjoying the view?”

CUE A NOD from the still-stumbling mess that was Amber. She stood on her tip-toes so she’d miss Tate’s head when she threw the empty vodka bottle at the neighbor building. “Totally!” She nodded. “It’s better than staying here.”
GOD, WAS THAT right. This entire town was dreadful. His eyes followed the soaring bottle as he took a moment to contemplate silently. "Okay. We should definitely do it." A light smile graced his features as he glanced down at her. "When?"

“Well you’re allowed to go out on Halloween, aren’t you?” She placed her hands on her lap, hazel eyes brightening as she watched him, his frustration very obvious. “And there H A S to be someone you like here.”
"Yeah, we can go out on Halloween. It's no big deal if you don't have someone to spend it with though." He peeks up at her, hands still fidgeting. "-and there's really no one. I use to talk to Violet, but she hates me know. She has every reason to..."
deviiilsrejects:
“Whatever, dude, seriously, fuck you. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and stop blaming others for your failures. I was just trying to help, but if you’re going to be a cunt, I’ll leave you alone, so you can cry like a little bitch.”
"You condescending, arrogant asshole-" He turns away for a moment before returning to face him. "You have no idea what you're even talking about, so don't pretend like you know everything there is to know about me."
