Théo’s eyebrows rose at Olivier’s news. had known about their relationship, and despite everything having fallen apart back when he was in his coma, Olivier had filled him in on exactly what had happened. And it was a secret that he had promised to take to his grave. It was a complicated situation, one that Théo truly had decided to stay out of because of how much he valued both his friendship with Olivier and his friendship with Emilia. But this news? He knew that it could open up quite a bit of drama that he knew was going to be hard on all of them.
“Well first of all, congratulations, I think that you’re going to be a great Dad and that kid’s going to be really lucky,” he said, they were truly the first words that came to his mind. Despite the upcoming storm, he couldn’t help but be happy - the same sort of feeling that he had when Yvonne first told him that he was pregnant. In the few precious seconds before he was given a concussion. “Are you happy about it? Just outside of the inevitable drama, is it something that you want?”
It shocked him that Théo seemed to happy about the situation. He’d expected some kind of lecture — as much as they’d once been friends Théo would put him in place when required. ‘’I’ve always wanted to be a dad, especially after dragging my little brother up with me.’’ There’d been no choice with Thomas, he’d been barely fifteen and although they had their mother — it was a lot for anyone to bare, let alone a woman who’d just lost the love of her life with two kids, one of which (himself) was a fucking terror until he wasn’t anymore. Olivier knew she’d seen the change, him growing up to quickly. He had too but them both.
He’d just never expected Thomas would have abandoned him after everything he done to make sure Thomas had whatever he needed. At first it’d been out of neccesity, eventaully though he’d loved it — the freedom yet strict rules were what he abided by and gave him a structure. He’d never inteded to stay with them forever. But now? God. Now he couldn’t imagine a life where he wasn’t apart of them. That he wouldnt kill for them? Because he would.
He wasn’t a killer but it lingered under his skin like a virus.
‘‘Varden is going to fucking kill me.’‘ He groaned shoving his face into his hands with a sigh. He’d honestly just been getting back on track, to who he was and there was passion again. Now though? He wasn’t sure how he was going to make this better. He was tied to Emilia for life and it’d pain him to have to be around her so often.
‘‘I want to do a good job Théo but…with my track history? I’m going to fuck up and she’ll end up hating me and I’ll never be able to see the kid. Actually, scrap that — I don’t think she’d do that unless there was real cause but what if I do something and I fuck up badly? I don’t think I could handle that.’‘
He’d always imagined a family with a white picket fence. Now he was having that family wiith someone he wasn’t with and honestly didn’t think it’d ever go that way again. To much hurt and miscommunication. Looking back to Théo he dropped his hands in a slump/
‘‘How did you feel when you found out — honestly?’‘
