Scarlett sat in the lobby, book in hand but eyes focused on her surroundings. She was analyzing everybody coming in and out of the hotel: guests, employees, mail carriers; anybody she spotted. When she felt someone sit next to her, she looked over with a raised brow. “Sorry, that spot’s taken.”
Theo smirked and set her book down, “Psychologist.” She cleared her throat and completely changed the tone of her voice now sounding suddenly sweet and nurturing. “Now enough about me, let’s discuss your upbringing. What is it that you do?”
