Rooftop meetings |Sally & Oogie
"Oh yes, very disappointed. The stories made you seem so much….more interesting I suppose. But you’re just a man, men are not ever that interesting in person." She gave a shrug.
She couldn’t help and roll her eyes at his reply, “Don’t let your ego get too big there. People said you were much more then you were, who’s to say they didn’t do the same about your show. I’ll check it out and let you know if it’s really as amazing as people claim.” She knew she was being a bitch but couldn’t help it. Something made her want to be meaner and more bad ass then what she really was when Oogie was around. “Hm, it’s an interesting name, a lot of people here have interesting names.”
Oogie smirked, though internally he was scowling. How dare anyone question his presence? "If I am so uninteresting, why don't you beat it and let me smoke in peace?"
He sighed and flicked the ashes from the end of the cigarette, something darker touching his eyes as she continued to run her mouth. Why someone didn't sew her mouth shut when they had the chance, he'd never understand. "Or," He said, his tone a little more dangerous, "If you keep mouthing off, who's to say that you won't face a little accident and fall to the concrete below?" Nothing was more annoying than having his self questioned or mocked and he wouldn't stand for it.
I'm Not a White Teeth Teen || Oogie & Barrel
When Oogie smiled, Barrel tried to smile a little as well, but it came off as more of a pained expression. It was a bit pitiful, so he quickly stopped and his eyes went to Oogie’s hands shuffling the deck. Although he gambled often, and won often, Barrel couldn’t shuffle a deck of cards properly to save his life. So seeing Oogie do so, in a brilliant way was intriguing. Really, seeing anyone shuffle cards caught Barrel’s eye, but Oogie was good at it.
"I, uh, ya" Barrel nodded, looking back up at Oogie, keeping his hands between his legs so his shoulders were raised slightly. "It was one of the ways we got money" He shared, not really sure why he was sharing about his past life with Oogie. "A little more legal then stealing"
The level of anxiety coming from the boy across the table was both enjoyable and almost a little annoying though he couldn't exactly determine why. Oogie was naturally a show off and the way he shuffled the deck was not exempt from that until he set the deck upon the table. Barrel looked ready to hit and run but until he did, the man was curious to see what he could get out of his company.
"Yeah? What's your game?" Oogie was in a surprisingly good mood, though it might have been from whatever Cheshire had given him earlier. He relaxed back in his seat. "True though from what I hear, it's stealing that landed you here in the first place."
Lost and Found || Sulley and Oogie
Sulley snarled his teeth showing, “I’m Warning-” He stopped himself trying to lower his anger, “Please, just give. it. back.” he said threw his teeth, “You don’t understand, that’s the only thing I have of my mother, I’m not trading for something that’s already mine now give it back!” he said with a raised voice.
A delightfully wicked grin stretched onto his face at the snippet of what he assumed was a threat. "Temper, temper." He said in a disapproving tone. "I already told you, finders keepers. You want it back, you earn it back."
Visiting Times || Oogie&Cheshire
Cheshire grinned, scooting a little closer as one claw like hand raked through Oogie's hair with a giggle. "Feeling good now?" He asked pleasantly.
Oogie would have swatted the hand in his hair away if not for the laxed mood he'd been put into. Instead he only mustered a slightly annoyed sound. "Whatever that stuff is, it's pretty good."
Rooftop meetings |Sally & Oogie
"Perhaps. More or less I was quite curious about who I had spoken to on the train. I had heard about you prior due to my friends working for you. But I was disappointed that it was you on the train. Oh well." She gave a shrug. She reached up and ran her fingers through her red hair as she leaned her elbows on the banister.
"Although I do look forward to seeing your show. I’ve heard it’s amazing." She really wasn’t one to stroke the ego of people, more so people like him who seemed to enjoy people paying homage. But she had heard about his amazing show and the fact he’s the words biggest dick which she figured went hand in hand. You’re good at what you do, it makes you a dick. Sally bit her lip before turning to fully face the man. She gripped the banister behind her and leaned back a bit, unconsciously thrusting her body out there as she let her blue eyes take in his form. "Although is Oogie you’re real name or just a stage name? I’ve never heard anyone use it as an actual name before."
Friends. Must be the three little worms he had put into his charge. Curious though, if one of them were talking about him behind his back.... Oho someone was going to be in trouble if he found out who and oh what a fun punishment that will be. "Disappointed, hm?" Oogie hummed, unbelieving. He didn't leave people disappointed.
He flicked the ash off the end of the light, brushing some of it off his sleeve. "Of course it is." He purred with a small smirk to his lips. "It's the best." He took another drag, letting the smoke coil out of his mouth in a bored fashion before exhaling. "I never leave a crowd disappointed." The girl turned to face him and he cocked an eyebrow curiously. At her question he clicked his tongue and brought his hand down to his side. "It doesn't matter. It's the name I go by now."
I'm Not a White Teeth Teen || Oogie & Barrel
Barrel fell silent when told to stop and looked at the chair that had been pushed out for him to sit on. Not wasting any time, he scrambled over and sit down in the chair, watching Oogie shuffle the cards. Barrel didn’t scare easily and he wouldn’t say he was scared necessarily, probably more anxious. His encounters with Oogie has really only been related to the act, not much personal contact. So Barrel couldn’t be blamed for being a little nervous, more then a little, Oogie was creepy.
"Do you gamble?" Barrel asked, nodding to the cards. It didn’t seem like Oogie woud have a deck of cards to play a nice game of hand and foot. As soon as he said it though, Barrel kind of wished he hadn’t, because if Oogie did, he might want to play something.
Oogie only glanced up at the boy once as he rushed into the seat. The corner of his mouth turned upwards slightly as he skillfully shuffled the deck in his fingers. The dice were an extension of his hands but the cards for now were a good substitute and he was just as familiar with them as he was with the dice. It was just so much easier to win at dice games.
He gave a nod of his head with a small hum. "For years. Lived off it for a while. Easy money if you know what you're doing." His eyes moved from the deck to the boy sitting in front of him, his face relaxed. Amused. "What about you? Are you a gamblin' man?"
Visiting Times - Oogie and Chesire
Cheshire just grinned, uncorking his as he held it up to Oogie in some form of mocking salute before he downed the contents in one swift movement. “It’s tea..” He said elusively, it was a quick working drug, he could feel himself become looser, whatever inhibitions he had before, if any were ebbing away as he grinned.
Oogie cocked an eyebrow but didn't question Cheshire any further. He uncorked his own bottle and tipped it up to his lips, downing it like a shot. He gave a short hum and looked back at the bottle. Stuff worked fucking fast. His head already felt lighter. "Tea it is." He smirked before tossing the bottle onto the table.
"Someone stole your shit?"
Nope. 'S all scattered through the damn woods.
Who the fuck is Wannahockaloogie?
Is that a speech impediment?
All grown up
I'm Not a White Teeth Teen || Oogie & Barrel
After being told the door was unlocked and he should enter, Barrel paused for a moment, took a deep breath and entered the room. “Hey Mr. Boogie” Barrel put on a grin, awkwardly walking into the room. Although he frequently just called the man Oogie when talking to others, in the presences of the spooky man, Barrel just couldn’t bring himself to. It seemed disrespectful and Barrel didn’t want to risk being disrespectful.
Barrel clapped his hands together. “So I see you’re alright” He said, staying close to the door. “Just wanted to make sure” A nervous laugh escaped. “And if there was anything I could do for you” He paused and looked at Oogie. “But it looks like you’re probably busy so I’ll stop bothering you” The words flew out of his mouth and Barrel already had a hand on the door, ready to leave.
Oogie leaned back in his seat as the door creaked open, placing his cheek in his hand. Well well. Not only was he graced with the presence of one of his assistants but here another had come. To anyone else it might have seemed he was annoyed but Oogie was very much pleased with this. No lip. No sass. Mr. Boogie. Asking if he could do anything. He could practically see the anxiety rolling off the boy in waves and that was just oh-so-nice. At least one of them seemed to know their place around him.
"How nice." He lifted his head to instead place his hands back on the table. Barrel paused and Oogie began to gather up the cards into a deck, shuffling them in his hands. "Stop." He didn't glance up from the cards but he kicked out the second chair from under the table. "Sit."
Rooftop meetings |Sally & Oogie
"That is what I’m trying to figure out actually. Since I now know you are the infamous Oogie; the stories and the image just don’t mesh well for me for some reason." She gave a shrug before turning away from him, she figured that she can turn her back to him to show that she didn’t perceive him as a threat.
Even though Sally wanted nothing more then to look at him, she did find him fascinating. But he seemed the type to have an ego issue so she wasn’t about to inflate that. She had hopped to be alone on the roof top but that didn’t seem to be happening thus far.
Oogie's brow quirked slightly. "Go asking about me did you?" He flicked the ash off the end of his cigarette. "And what stories have you heard?" Oh how nice it was to be spoken about. There was no such thing as bad publicity. He knew the things the others said about him, how they felt. But he just couldn't bring himself to care. He wasn't out to impress anyone. At least not outside the ring.
As she turned her back on him he only rolled his eyes. He took another quick drag from his cigarette, the familiar taste of smoke filling his mouth. "Interesting for you to say so." He said in an almost bored tone, turning his attention towards the view from the rooftop. Nothing awe inspiring.
"So, what have you been up to? Handling surviving the crash and all?"
What was there to handle, really? The cars just tumbled around like a fucking kiddie ride, not like anything fun happened.
Although all of my shit has vanished.
Lost and Found || Sulley and Oogie
Sulley growled a little feeling angry but kept his cool, “It’s a silver locket with a picture of me and my mother inside, on the back it said to my wonderful Son Jimmy.”
Sulley looked at the man with a pleading look and sighed, “Come on man please, I’ve been worried sick that I would never see it again, it’s all I have left of my Mom, please give it back.” his hands were shaking a little thinking he won’t ever give it back.
Even at the description, Oogie doesn't bother to take it back out of his pocket to see if it's the truth. It's too much fun watching the water boil.
"You're gonna have to do a lot better than that if you want it back so badly." He grinned, hands stuffed in his pockets. "I already told you, finders keepers but," he shrugged, "I'd be willing to trade if you've got something of equal value."
