I was walking through my local mall today and as I was leaving I saw two girls wearing orange horns and one of them had a tail, I immediately thought "omg, Homestuck cosplay in 2026??"

I remember looking up Homestuck when I was a kid bc it was like the *big* thing back then and I happened to come across it on YouTube but I didn't know English that well so I didn't get too far (hell I don't even know the names of the characters), but I am well aware of the big impact it had (and most likely still has) and that an animated show is coming out (? I think?)

Anyway people were definitely turning heads and looking at them like "wtf are they doing" but I was internally thinking that they were really awesome and cool

BUT the best part came when just a bit ahead they greeted their friends and when I looked over out of curiosity there were two other girls cosplaying Homestuck too! That has to be like peak girlhood at its finest

I have no relation to this fandom but I still felt like sharing the experience here ✌️

I had a dream about Deltarune last night and I couldn't get it out of my head because it felt so realistic I actually woke up thinking "wait, what if that shit actually happened"

The dream was in first person, I was starting up the game and selecting the newest chapter available. The screen began to load, the usual title came in but there was no voice saying the name, it just read Deltarune in complete silence.

When the game started it was on Kris' room like always, the blankets had a bump on them so it was safe to assume that they were asleep. Except that when you moved the character to wake them and start the game it wasn't Kris, it was the vessel we made back in chapter 1.

It was colored just like Kris except that the sprite was the vessel, and when checking the menu it said: [(Name chosen for the vessel) LV "?" HP "?"] The weapon and armor were the same ones Kris uses.

And the thing is that you could move the character around, interact with things and such, not much of the dialogue changed until you went out of the house. Nobody seemed to notice that this wasn't Kris.

Nobody but Susie. Susie was the only one who questioned who this person was, her dialogue went:

"Hey, uh... who the hell are you? Where's Kris?"

And the two options were "It's me." And "..."

After that I woke up but holy shit I was definitely wondering just what that had been, I'm telling you if Toby Fox pulls this on the Weird Route because someone needs to take over while Kris is on the lake I'll crash out

Oh well at least I have a save file right before the final fights where I didn't pick up the egg so that one should be safe. If it turns out that having the egg can do something to the story I'll switch files 🫡

I may not know a lot about drawing, anatomy or how to color and shade right. But I do know a thing or two about teenage girl angst.

The drawing is messy in some places because I hate doing lineart with a passion, I just cleaned up the sketch to my liking and began to color it using my last Dess doodle as a ref. I gave her shorter hair this time tho ✌️

I'm actually really proud of how this one came out, according to the video replay of the whole thing it took me 4 hours (started yesterday and finished today) so yeah, time well spent!

First he was an orphaned child living in the slums

Then when Candelle died, Reuven got killed and Shuri left/was taken away to join the Celestial Dragons

And lastly when Yorki and the Rumbar pirates died, leaving him alone to wander off in the sea for 50 years

I would say 4 times because of the 2 years spent away from the Strawhats, but they got reunited and I really hope that they don't have to part ways like that again

Rescue HI-Surf randomly comes up on TV, Clayton Emerson (aka Shawn Hatosy character) appears and I'm like "omg it's him!!"

He speaks one line and jesus fuck the dub butchered him

I thought it was weird to hear him in Fire Country after getting used to his amazing VA in Animal Kingdom but it was easy to get used to, this one is just so off I can't even like it

So, as I was playing Chapter 5 I got into the egg room (after looking for a tutorial bc I'm lame sorry 😭) and I couldn't help but to notice something about the dialogue, it's under the cut in case people want to avoid spoilers!

It's just a silly thing but I'm putting it just in case.

Basically I've seen a couple of posts around (i think maybe on TikTok or Reddit idk) about how the man behind the tree would give the player an egg and upon being prompted to ask for more the man would say something along the lines of "This is the last one you will receive" or that there wouldn't be any more after this one.

But as someone who didn't get any other eggs (that I can remember, I don't think I grabbed the one in chapter 1 and didn't bother to look for the ones in 2,3 or 4) the dialogue said something different.

I didn't take pictures or screenshots (my bad) but I remember that the text box said something like "The man nods vigorously and points to the distance, there you see another tree like this one, and a bit further another one that looks the same, they seem to continue in a row" and mentions of how it almost looked like staring at a never ending mirror to the point where it made "your head feel dizzy". And then it mentions how the man looks at you concerned and as if he wanted to say something but didn't before he waves goodbye and dissappears.

And I was left wondering just what the hell that was. Since I haven't been to any other egg rooms I don't know if this could be relevant to the lore they have, but I definitely found it interesting that I got this dialogue instead of the one stating that I couldn't get more eggs.

I only remember the egg room in Chapter 1 from the first time I played when it came out in 2018, I found it completely on accident and had no idea of what it was. That was in my computer ages ago and when I started to play Deltarune again last year it was on my Switch, so I didn't really remember about how to get the egg room or bothered to look for it on purpose.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone reading this has a theory about it or not but I wanted to post it ✌️
