I've been thinking: willtresor where they meet at the park because they walk their dogs at the same time every day.
I think Will would also be a dog person and I also think his dog/his family's dog should be MASSIVE. Monty already has that cute little creature from chapter 119.
Imagine their dogs pulling a Pongo and Perdita from 101 Dalmatians on them, you know that one scene where they tangle their humans with the leashes. I think it would be so cute but also Will might die on the spot being suddenly fully pressed against his park crush.

Dude I love the Wild West Idea: I just imagine Will waiting tied up on train and when Montresor gets back he's thinking to himself: "my guy you aren't even TRYING 😐" meanwhile Will's thought process is just: I'm not at home = more food for my siblings
You don't even know it I LOVE a Wild West AU.
Poor Will and his low self-esteem thinking his family is better off without one more mouth to feed and meanwhile his siblings miss him so bad.
Makes me think about what Montresor's plan would be, like he can hardly drag some guy around forever (crushing on said guy and eventually wanting to keep him around definitely wasn't part of said plan)
Random idea: what if whenever Montresor has nightmares and Will notices he sings the lullaby he'd sing to his siblings every time they had nightmares
Who wants a willtresor vampire AU this fine Friday? Got kinda long so putting it under the cut
Montresor is the vampire in this one. His gold tooth is in place of one of his fangs that got pulled out. He slaughtered his way out before the cultists got his other fang too. He starts wandering with no real aim and eventually becomes a legend that sows fear in travelers. The Great Plains Devil/Demon is what he's known as
Even if he and Will are from different time periods, I figure that Montresor either doesn't age or ages very slowly in this au so he could absolutely meet Will in the 1930s when he briefly passes through a town, not at all expecting to stick around, yet a kind shopkeeper catches his attention. They start chatting. Montresor keeps finding excuses to visit the store. Eventually they move on to meeting outside as well.
Then one day as they're in the store Will gets a paper cut or something, and Montresor has to straight up run away because the scent of his blood drives him insane. I mean fang sharpening and irises turning a little red and all
When Will inevitably finds out Montresor is the being from legends terrorising the area, he's less freaked out about that than he is about the fact that Montresor is starving and might genuinely die if he doesn't feed soon. And of course he offers himself up
Montresor getting kinda carried away feeding and almost making Will bleed out to death. He then proceeds to avoid Will for at least a week, because he feels awful about having hurt him. And he's terrified that he'll once again be the reason he loses something he holds dear. And still he won't leave town, he has to know Will is fine. Will has to be the one to seek him out first, and you can imagine he isn't at all happy with having been abandoned.
I don't exactly have an ending for this in mind so I'd love to hear any ideas you might have 👀
What if when Will tries to reach out things are going okay at first but Montresor still terrified he could hurt him and while their catching up Will gets slightly injured and Montresor's hunger flares up leading to internal terror and he runs away
He later kills both Johnny and Sally after they attempt to kill Will they make up and start dating and Montresor with the little blood here and stuff convinces Will to leave with him and that his siblings will be fine...that or he kidnappes him and starts looking for ways to turn Will
The imp's in the helliverse are completely mistreated, under paid, disrespected, and rarly own their own business and I really hope the have a rebellion mabey they could even team up with some of the exorcist angle as from what we say in vagi's flashback while not disrespected they were mistreated and punished for showing fear or vulnerability
...and I definitely don't want this to happen because I think they'd have the most epic rebellion songs...

Can't stop thinking of how fun it be if Lute and Striker teamed up, bonded by their dramatic past's, grudges, and love of angelic wepons and formed and ended up becoming really close and forming an Imp rebellion
also think it be hysterical if at one point they used vox as a meat shield against Lucifer

Wiltresor D&D au were Will's a wizard and Montresor's a fallen pladin and meet cause they were both kidnapped and Will was running around and freeing the other prisoners but is caught and rescued by Monty. After they escape they start sailing the ocean together and eventually meet Ada, Prospero, and Annabelle. Also almost all the guys simp over Will at some point in the story. . . Mostly because I really want an excuse to see or write jealous Montresor
Willtresor Royalty AU
Will: peasant (works at family owned farm and convince store, saved Montresor from a gang fight by using a flashlight to scare them off, Montresor and him have only grown closer since)
Montresor: kings illegment and only son (was raised by abusive religious mother)
Annabelle: emperor's daughter
Lenore: rouge (ran away)
Pluto: rogue (run away)
Duke: rouge
Bernice: a wild and renowned actress
Eulalie: fortune teller
Morella: a baker (houses the misfits)
Prospero: Annabelle's personal butler
Ada: Annabelle's personal maid (Annabelle did it originally to protect Ada from Thomas, though they're becoming friends, ish, but through the story they ultimately do)
Montresor is dragged away by guards one day despite Will's efforts to stop them (which he is injured doing so). A week later Will is still worried sick and trying to figure out why the guards would take his only friend. When suddenly on a Saturday afternoon guards walk into his shop and say the King demanded's an audience, and that if he comes he'll see his friend again. Will immediately accepts and is taken to the castle and escorted to the throne room doors. And thus the fear settles yet he walks in and kneeling before the king not daring to even look at his face begs the king to release his friend. But this is met with Montresor's chuckles and he soon learns that the old king has died and Montresor was his illegitimate son an only living heir. Montresor then escorts Will to the fanciest bedroom in the castle and tells him this is were he'll be staying (but he doesn't tell him it's the biggest and fanciest bedroom in the castle)
Also for those interested in this Au Annabelle & Lenore meet during a royal retreat (in which the nobles were required to come to) and they reunite during a heist gone wrong in the emperors main palace. As you can imagine the conversation is a bit...awkward 😅

I put Lenore as the baker’s wife since they both are more outgoing compared to their counterparts but now I think about it they could be interchangeable. you can tell I ran out of roles for Eulalie and Duke. I also kind of want to draw this but idk. It’s like midnight (LAST MIDNIGHT??) and i felt inspired by the Nevermore and Hamilton au. Should I draw it??

*Will wakes up tied to a chair*
Montresor: Mornin' Will *he says as he twirls around from behind the chair*
Will: "Let go of me Monty"
Montresor: "what's with the sour attitude?"
Will: "The last time we met y-you blew up the building I was in and now you've kidnapped me again, why? Was I really that worthless to you... do you really hate me that much?"
Montresor: "quite the other way around partner, yah didn't think I'd really let you blow up dy'a? I only wanted to git rid of your new friend" he said referring to Eulalie "I thought are buddy in black would go for her first, then I'd take you out with me and fake your death" so I could have you all to myself again he thought silently
Will: "but...why?" he says in a hushed tone a tear dropping from his eye recalling the death of his friend... and the betrayal of the other
Montresor: "shh" Montresor responses wiping the tear off his cheek attempting to calm him
