One you don’t need to use a protection charm. Ouija boards are basically the old fashioned Omegle. Sometimes you get some pretty chill spirits and other times you get some looking for a quick scare.

Two, you don’t need to use anything to call them just the board and the planchette. That’s it.

Three, ouija boards allow whatever spirit is around you to communicate with. Calling on a specific spirit usually won’t work. You’ll just get a spirit who pretends to be that person and if you ask them anything only that specific person would know, they’ll either give a wrong answer or stop responding.

Four, banishing rituals aren’t needed because as I’ve stated before you’re just communicating with whatever spirits are around you. Same thing goes for purification.

Five, the Ouija board was created in Victorian times as a fun way for people to get together and do spooky things. It was a great way for a man and a woman who are interested in the other to have physical contact since many preferred to sit with the board between them on their knees. This is based on some old advertisements I’ve found from when it was invented in the 1890s

This movie was greatly underrated

Honestly, this movie was amazing. It was self aware, it was well animated, you could tell the voice actors had a lot of fun in it and really put in effort to their lines, the plot was good and honestly I thought the style was unique. I heard a lot of people complain about the big heads thing but I thought it worked since it was consistent through the entire film. The comedy timing with the physical gags was straight on, some jokes didn’t age well but for a modern comedy (an animated one at that) a lot of the jokes are just timeless because they are making fun of a timeless thing: hero always wins, the damsel in distress, and the bad guy who always loses. That dynamic has always been around and always will be so the humor behind that dynamic will always last.

This movie deserves a lot more credit for what it is and did.
