Every cult leader's pockets are just bursting with love. Listen to a sermon by Jim Jones or David Koresh. And yet, as you stated, what matters is how they act. Read the Bible and learn what God's people did to anyone who was in their way or had something they wanted (virtually everything from Exodus to Deuteronomy is just a record of one genocide after another). Read about all the people God himself killed over petty minutia (like breaking the Sabbath, Num 15) or sometimes for no evident reason at all (2 Samuel 24:1–17). Then there is the long history of Christians burning or otherwise maiming and killing people who disagreed with them. Judge them by their fruits. If the fruits are rotten, then so is the tree (Jesus).

Why did God need the Pharaoh's permission to free his chosen people. Why didn't Yahweh simply free them himself? Also, if this god was able to foresee the Pharaoh's obstinacy, doesn't that indicate that Pharaoh lacked free will after all? You might argue that God only foresaw what Pharaoh was going to do, but did not force him to do it; but this argument falls apart the moment it is recognized that God is also the prime mover, the first cause. Before God decided to create anything, he must have foreseen what the results would be, including Pharaoh's decision. Knowing this, God could have arranged for a different man to be Pharaoh, one who would be more amenable to God's request -- but he did not. Why would God torment the Egyptian people with his plagues if he already knew that Pharaoh was stubbornly committed to keeping the Hebrews in captivity? Why not just free them himself?
Something I want to draw attention to in practicing any form of spirituality is to not let yourself become unhealthily obsessed with it. You don't have to look at everything as a sign from the divine or consult tarot for every single decision you make. It's important that you stay grounded and sometimes that means stepping out of a spiritual perspective, living life in the moment and following simply what your heart wants.
MAY THE BLACK FLAME NEVER BE EXTINGUISHED IN YOUR HEART.
