your Azula voice acting (assuming its the voice in the pinned clip) is amazing! If they ever do an older azula in a spin off show or something. They should use you
Thank you so much, anon! That is so kind of you to say. Iām so sorry for the late response. Iām still catching up on my inbox.
That is indeed me! I was actually the first part Asian voice of Azula for anything official. Teen me voiced Azula for those Puppetbender ads! (Which were also my first pro-writing gig!)
If you want proof thatās really my voice, I gotchu!
Please check out @book4air! We are exploring the characters post-war including Azula!
DUDEEEEEE š¦ your voice is AMAZINGGGG āØāØāØ

REBLOG if you are old enough to remember what a VCR is.
Itās crazy because DVDs are starting to go obsolete too. Everything is on streaming platforms now. I miss when you could select and actually own films.

HELPPP LMAO
Okay, this take isn't going to be very Katara friendly. It's not hate but more like criticism towards the show and Katara as a fighter. If anyone doesn't appreciate negative criticism towards Katara (specifically during the last agni Kai) pls don't read this and if you do, pls DON'T start an argument with me about it. I'm willing to accept different opinions but I'm not down for an argument. That being said, let's get started:
Katara had extreme plot armor during The Last Agni Kai.
The first thing people think about when they hear this sentence is Zuko taking the lightning hit for her. This is a major plot armor point because she can't redirect lighting but Zuko can and so he happens to be able to catch it and redirect it at the last second and none of them dies.
Sure, the Avatar Studios managed to hide how this was plot armor by calling it part of Zuko's growth. Which is why this is not going to be the moment I'll address in this post. I'll be talking about a much less memorable moment that most of you would have forgotten due to the adrenaline of the whole fight bc even if a lot of people don't remember it, it's probably the greatest plot armor Katara even had in the show.
In this post I'll be addressing the panel you see in the picture. After Zuko was down, Azula started attacking Katara, the only enemy left. She did her little spiny thingy and created lightning that she directed at Katara and Katara blocked the attack with water. Which makes absolutely no sence.
A similar thing happened in the crystal catacombs and there was nothing wrong with that moment. Wanna know why? Cause it was with water and fire. Not lightning.
Katara send a huge wave at Azula and Azula hit back with fire. The outcome of that moment was for the fire to be put out and the water to be evaporated. Which makes sense because that's what happens with fire and water, they are opposite forces that destroy each other.
But the same thing couldn't have happened with lighting. After the Agni Kai when Katara and Azula fought and lightning and water met each other some of the water evaporated , the rest of it fell to the ground and the lighting just... Disappeared!
Realistically, the lightning should have traveled through the remaining water, find its way back to Katara and electrocute her. Lightning doesn't simply disappear, it's energy it can only change form, not disappeared. And it also travels through water without having any issues. Which is why this move wasn't very wise in Katara's part. And yet she's alive and unscratched.
The Avatar Studios literally defied physics to keep Katara from being electrocuted to death in order to protect both her and Zuko, who needed her healing abilities asap. If it weren't for plot armor, Katara would be dead. And I don't mean a series of events that could potentially lead to death later on, I mean actual, immediate, inevitable, potentially painful death. And she escaped that because the creators of the show fond physics insignificant. Now, that's plot armor.
I told you this wasn't gonna be hate. It's barely even Katara critical. It's mostly Avatar Studios critical. Also, while writing this I started getting insecure and now I think I might have talked about this before so if I have, pls excuse me being an idiot, I don't have good memory
To be honest I always did feel like there was something off about all of Azulaās lighting strikes after Zuko got hit 0_o but I just didnāt think about it deeply enough to put my finger on it. Thanks for enlightening me.

Animated by me.
THIS IS GOLD! āØāØāØI hope we can see more! Maybe some cute sibling shenanigans with [Sokka, Katara] and [Zuko, Azula] combos š Or maybe baby Azula and Suki trying to lead their respective squads to victory [Mai and Ty lee], [Kioshi Warriors]

ā¦Thereās⦠only⦠*inhales* ONE short frame of her but itās BETTER THEN NOTHING O___O
What if another insecurity about uras azula has is that ursa never thought she was worth saving or even trying to save.
Like this panel right here, the whole "You are your father's daughter" what if azula starts taking that as how ursa always saw her. She thinks ursa thought she was not even worth helping because she is "ozai daughter"
It could also be an interesting perspective on ursa as well. How ursa no matter how hard she tried and tried to ignore it, she couldn't see azula as anything but ozai daughter especially as azula got older
And not only THAT but this is possibly one of the worst things she could have said considering the context 0_0 I mean⦠itās basically a way of saying Ursa views her as being just like her dad, or an extension of him⦠and like⦠we all know how Ursa felt about Ozai. (if we are going off of the comics) Their marriage was basically complete dumpster fire at this point and Azula isnāt stupid. She would have seen, would have felt how Ursa feared him, how she never wanted to be with him in the first place. When you consider all of that this is a very condemning thing to hear from Ursa. I mean⦠just look at this girlās face:
*record scratch*/*freeze frame*
"Yep, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got into this situation ā¦"
This is giving me flashbacksā¦

Mai: Donāt worry, I have a few knives up my sleeve.
Katara: I think you mean cards.
Ty lee & Azula: No, she doesnāt.
Mai, pulling knives out of their sleeves: No, I do not.
Look how smol she is. That pot-thing is bigger than her; like you can fit like five tiny Azulas into that vase.
I think youād even be able to fit at least one big Azula into that case
I feel like 2 or 3 big Azulas can fit in there. Maybe four if one of them is sitting on top of the others.
Are they standing up or allowed to sit down like tiny Azula is doing in the picture?
They can sit!
@waterfire1848 @bellatrixobsessed1
This is a drunk conversation in the avatar gang while azula is even sitting next to them
Azula isnāt sure if this will make good blackmail material or if she should be offended by this conversation.
Sokka: Look at how tiny she is! You could easily fit 5 Azulas in that vase.
Katara: Are you kidding me? 7 Azulas!
Suki: Youāre all insane. Itās clearly 3.
Ty Lee: Wait. Do all the Azulaās need to be standing up?
Azula: Why did I decide to become good again?
Aang: Guys, guys, please, thereās no need to fight. We can test the theory.
Sokka: How?
Aang: Weāll just see how many bags of flour with the same mass as Azula we can fit in the vase.
Suki: But we donāt know whatās Azulaās mass.
Aang: Weāll figure it out.
Toph: How?
Aang: *looks at Azula*
Azula: ā¦
Gaang: ā¦
Azula: Donāt even think about it.
Katara: GET HER!
Azula: *runs away*
Gaang: *chase after her*
I would pay big money to watch this happen š
Her character description is amazing. What a freaking queen.
[ Azula arrives to a meeting wearing pink then steps out of the room. ] Sokka: Azula's wearing pink. Azula's wearing pink! Katara: Are we sure it's not a white shirt that's just been bloodied in some kind of fight? Toph: Maybe it wasn't her. Does she have a twin sister? Zuko: If Azula had a twin, she would have eaten her in the womb. Aang: Wait. How come none of you teased her about it? Sokka: It's Azula. She's scary.
Had some thoughts about Iroh and Azula earlier. I'm sure we all remember this scene, right?
Now, this post isn't about how Iroh was wrong for giving her that look and being suspicious and on edge around her when he hasn't seen Azula for 3 years. He actually was right to be suspicious, precisely BECAUSE of that fact. They had no contact for 3 years, and suddenly she shows up out of the blue. That would make anyone rightfully suspicious. But again, that's not what this post is about. This is about the fact that the last time Iroh saw Azula, Ozai had burned Zuko's face. Showing Iroh that he wasn't above harming his children if it suited him. Azula was alone with Ozai for 3 years. Who knows what happened to her during that time frame. And yet, Iroh shows no concern for her well being whatsoever. Doesn't ask how she's been doing all this time or anything like that. Just greets her with disdain. Like. That's just seriously chilling and fucked up. And I didn't even notice this until now. And for someone like Iroh's character, and the way how he is with Zuko? All caring and loving? That just...does not make sense as a writing choice. At all.
Why I think his relationship with Azula, or rather lack there of, is portrayed this way, is because the writers were so focused on making Azula into this badass villain who could even make Iroh of all people be on his guard around her, that they forgot that she was also his niece. Someone who was also in desperate need of help, just like Zuko was. Someone who needed love just like Zuko did. And yet we never see Iroh even attempt to extend that to her at all. The fact that even Aaron Ehasz came out and admitted that the way they wrote Iroh when it came to Azula didn't match how the portrayed his character overall further proves this theory.
To be honest⦠I get it. Iroh should have been more concerned about Azula being with Ozai, but i think the reason he wasnāt is because he compares her to himself and his own dad Azulon in his mind since they were both the āfavoritesā and the rising military prodigies of their time. He probably thinks his treatment from Azulon was fine even if his teaching was misguided so he probably views Azula and Ozai in the same way. I do believe that even if Iroh supposedly grew and learned new things I still think he was also a product of desensitization from fire nation culture just like everyone else. He might view the treatment of himself and Azula as fine because he only had Ozai and Zukoās treatment and the rest of fire nation family culture to compare it to in his younger years. In this way i think it can make sense as a writing choice.
