I'm having genuine brainrot from @brightgoat 's My World au and so I guess I ought to set this trainwreck of thoughts free. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you should check it out it's SO worth the read.
Nil is always divided from the other villagers due to her behavior, her nihilistic worldview, not getting a job aka "being useful", little regard for tradition and their critical/non lenient view of Steve.
Due to Steve's curiosity, they try to find something for Nil to do, by putting her in a boat and travelling with her to their base or going on "adventures" with Steve, in hopes to find something that interests her.
Then there's the Plains Village Raid happens, where Polly and Nil meet and Nil hides her from the others. Then threatens Polly, interrogates her, and later sets her free. All things that other Villagers would never do. Then the Zombie Siege happens Which Nil only survived bc a) they were traveling back from Steve's base and b) Polly came back for them.
So before starting a nomadic life Nil already:
has a mindset more similar to Wandering Traders than Villagers (though Nil is nihilistic and Wandering Traders portray absurdism)
Semi regularly leaves the Village to "adventure"
does not care about being of use to anyone
defies Steve's, Polly's, and the villages' expectations
is openly confrontational towards people other Villagers would avoid or tolerate
After that Nil starts to travel the world with Nil, and they start to show more similarities to a Wandering Trader than an unusual Villager. This is where I stop yapping and show Nil's behavior (from mostly) during her travels next to the description of Brightgoat's Wandering traders.

I have no theories or conclusions, but something is very clear. Asat was every bit genuine when he was pretending to be Ryusuke. I will bet my life fed to the tumourous carcass that is shuhu that he wore a mask exactly for the purpose of managing to be a less shitty dad compared to his first attempt
OK. So I've talked about my theory that Ralsei will become a Lightner at the end of a pacifist run. And I think that's as good of a jumping point as any for the next theory I'm going to put on the table: that everything FRIEND has seemingly been doing, setting up superpowered bosses and trying to bait Kris into killing everyone to Become Stronger(TM), is part of an effort to become a Lightner themselves.
Here's the gist of it:
If Ralsei is able to become a Lightner, it's not just going to be because we were nice. The amount of recruits you get in Castle Town has an effect on something called your "town's love", which is allegedly connected to the state of your heart. I won't pretend to understand how all that would work, but the gist of it is, I think you can probably power up your heart by raising your town's love, and with enough of it, you'll be able to power up some means of transforming Ralsei.
This might sound pretty out there, but this idea has already been hinted at, through the character of Spamton. If you pay attention to his dialog, including the NEO boss fight, he is desperately trying to reach the Light World, and thinks that Kris's soul is the ticket. Which suggests that, at the very least, this idea exists in the Dark Worlds as some kind of legend about how human souls work.
So how does FRIEND come into this? Well, in two ways:
1: FRIEND is strongly implied to be the character on Spamton's phone. Their face first appears in the basement where you find the NEO Suit, the Spamton NEO boss fight alludes to them ("You don't need friends! I can turn my hands into phones!"), and they seem to be related to, if not outright engineering, the entire situation involving the Shadow Crystals and Shadow Mantle. And we know that Spamton's benefactor promised him a way to access the Light World, so it's possible that they were the one who let that particular piece of lore slip.
2: FRIEND seems to have a particular interest in making Kris stronger. In the Sword Route, they seem to be trying to push us onto the path of violence, possibly even onto the Weird Route in specific. They imply that the Sword Route represents some "original" plan, one where Kris was supposed to cut their way through all their enemies and become crazy powerful. And considering the way they seem to have used and betrayed Spamton, we can reasonably infer that their reasons for doing this aren't good.
3: Chapter 4 has a few different points where it compares Kris's soul to a mouse. First is in Noelle's house, when she picks us up in the basement to take us upstairs. And much later, when you unlock the Mike minigames, the cursor that they use is a hand with a little mouse face on it. It's confirmed that FRIEND is some kind of cat, so the idea that they're trying to prey on Kris's soul in some way is strongly implied.
All of this is to say: I think that FRIEND may be trying to charge up Kris's soul by pushing them into turning on others with violence. Noelle seems to fit into this plan as well, though it's not clear how yet, but she seems to be incidental - the main goal is simply to make Kris as strong as possible, and then steal it for themselves in order to become a Lightner.
I think that FRIEND has tried this before, or at least tried vandalizing the Dark Worlds to push Kris through the Prophecy via a path that would make it possible. My hypothesis is that the Shadow Crystals were planted to make ultra-powerful bosses that would make Kris even stronger once they were defeated, and the Crystals themselves might have been directly useful as well.
But it seems like, somehow, they got caught. Someone stepped in and had Jevil locked away, and maybe someone else made sure Spamton couldn't get the NEO suit - though it's hard to say which failures were a result of direct meddling, and which ones were just down to characters' free will. Most importantly, it seems like someone took pains to warn Kris away from the path of violence, possibly setting up Ralsei as the prophecy's Darkner specifically to convince them that a peaceful approach would be preferable.
In any case, I don't think FRIEND is giving up. In fact, I'm not even sure they're completely out of the race. We saw some bizarre shit happen on the Weird Route in chapter 4, stuff suggesting that this storyline may be having a weird effect on their soul.
So yeah. Obviously this is all still pretty vague, stuck in the realm of hints and foreshadowing. But I'd say it's a definite possibility, considering what we know so far.

A ehole lot of rengheng and set up for 4.3, some sweet ahavili on the manner in which the phantasmoon has our backs, but there is something else brewing in the Arcadian conspiracies, and those who did the epilogue quest about skkott will know the evidence I have. Asat pramad and shuhu are working together and helping each other. Now, why did I start this post by talking about shipping? Because if ahavili can be cannon then sĂł can treedice HOWEVER this post is mainly speculation over ehy exactly they would help each other and why:
The how:
•According to Mia, on both instances of shuhu flare ups on planarcadia were supposed to be smuggled bio weapons. It’s unclear whether the transporting guy knew of that, but she herself had him killed, só itd most likely thst his involvement only went so far as the intelligencia guild
• Regardless of his involvement, on both instances*,someone came and switched the cargo with the flesh of shuhu, something the intelligencia guild had access to 15 years ago
•Marcus antali was probably already under shuhu’s influence, so regardless of his knowledge of asst’s possible involvement, he entered the games às a supplicant being promised immortality by shuhu if he won the games, Marcus (being a victim of shuhu’s bloodlust and overall crazy evil broccoli activities) then went of a murder frenzy as the herald of death and was defeated by Himeko
•much of the documentation around the trial and execution of Marcus are obscured, but he we know he was not killed by ashveil’s shadow, so there’s no telling if the flesh of shuhu tainting him was well disposed of.
•Fullwish received an unusual invitation to the tavern. While the mask is probably legitimate, the note is pretty cruel and sparxie comments on how terrible it is. While there’s no solid evidence for this, it might’ve been asat who planted the note
•she then went to study Botânico for the intelligencia guild, wanting to understand whatever was the herald of death and despising Aha for holding the games to entertain themselves
•she decides at some point to destroy the games, and Asat (às Mr meanie) refers to her as a student, so he was mentoring her in some way
Here’s what Asat's involvement planting the flesh of shuhu in the hands of fullwish and Marcus explain:
— How both got their hands into it in planarcadia
— Fullwish’s epiphany tô wnd the games
— Possibly how the flesh in Marcus was dealt with
what it wouldnt explain:
—wether Marcus or Fullwish were in on it when they got their hands on the stuff
— how the intelligencia guild or asat himself got their hands on it
The why:
•For shuhu, it’s pretty self explanatory, THEY want to resurrect themselves again and be a problem. Wether it be by the wish of the phantasmoon or the actions of fullwish, planarcadia is the best option we know off for him to gather up enough power and cells to come back. We haven’t seen him fully conscious on the present, but he was able to communicate with Marcus, so it’s probably because he had a greater amount of it on his body then the Joy ascendants. Either way, his reason for collab img would be to get THEIR conscious body back
•For asat, I believe he needs a distraction. With the way shuhu is, having him run around planarcadia being nightmare fuel makes it a lot easier to scheme and mold the situation tô his favour. Furthermore, Shuhu’s revival could attract a Luxarrow from lan, and depending on the timing, Asat could direct a situation in which it hits the phantasmoon or aha THEMSELF. He’s already doing that during 4.2, Elio sent Wolfie with blade tô planarcadia because he needed hard counters tô both threats, she and Blade are his gambits so that the express can face aha unbothered
ALSO, this is the part of the theory which I think is the weakest in evidence, since it could absolutely be someone else, but when he’s talking to silver wolf, Asat says he has a friend that is great at inspiring others, that they work well together and that in a certain future, SW hands over aha’s head to them both. Now why would that not describe shuhu? THEY certainly inspired countless people over the years, he’s working with Asat and they’re helping each other achieve their goals, and shuhu is the only antagonist at the moment with the potential to have blackmail material on SW if blade is compromised
