the idea of anyone having feelings for me is so abstract ?? like me ⌠possibly DATING in the future ??? someone I like who likes me BACK ??? iconic
Yea I tried dating for like a month and a half. Met a super cute guy, turned out we had a mutual friend (bonus), he asked me to be his girlfriend and we kissed, then a week later he started ignoring me/leaving me on read, and broke up with me a week after that. I was blindsided. He told me all these things when things were good about how positive he was about me and us. He made me feel like he really liked me and cared about me. I still question it all now even months later. How he ended it also gets me. Wouldnât even do it to my face until I confronted him and thatâs a conversation that I can barely remember because of my nerves and anxiety. (Ooop did I forget to mention he was my first kiss and first boyfriend- really setting the bar there. Also left permanent damage on my views of dating and guys).
0/10 would not recommend. 1 1/2 months of happiness for months of sadness is not worth it. The depression and anxiety that has come from it is not worth it. Seriously though, I was sick all the time, couldnât sleep or eat, cried a lot, and I didnât want to get out bed most mornings. Also took a leave of absence from my part time job because I was emotional and couldnât fathom going to work because of the afore mentioned issues (ended up quitting before Christmas to focus on school).
To add to this:
Iâm so glad the NHL has embraced the bubble
THE TRILOGY
Fun fact: the reason wearing seatbelts became common in the US was because kids were trained to in school, and would constantly bug their parents to wear their own seatbelts. In my momâs words, everyone was shamed by little children into behaving safely.
This is how I got my mom to quit smoking,,, by annoying the everloving shit oughta her at age 7
My 8 year old looked at a man in the airport (when I had to fly her to her Dadâs for the summer) and the sass came out in 3 ways.
First: She would constantly ask why someone wasnât wearing a mask, loudly. âItâs not like itâs hard.â
Second: Standing in line to get food she noticed ome guy behind us wasnât adhering to the 6 feet guidelines. She turned to him. âSix feet please.â He was so surprised he stepped back automatically. But then glared at me as I shrugged. âRules are rules dude. She did say please.â
Third: A woman sneezed on the other side of the terminal waiting area. She was joined by a couple other kids for this one. âIf you cough or sneeze, use your elbow please.â Honestly half of us were trembling to keep in the laughter and the others were just shocked to hear kids speak up like that.
hearing a five year old yell across the yard that the neighbors were having a party and âits illegal!â is hysterical.Â
I knew you tried to change the ending, Peter losing Wendy. The #cardiganMusicVideo is out now. Watch it here.
In isolation my imagination has run wild and this album is the result, a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness. Picking up a pen was my way of escaping into fantasy, history, and memory. Iâve told these stories to the best of my ability with all the love, wonder, and whimsy they deserve. Now itâs up to you to pass them down. folklore is out now.
đˇ: Beth Garrabrant
The music video for âcardiganâ will premiere tonight, which I wrote/directed. A million thank youâs to my brilliant, bad ass video team - Cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, producer Jil Hardin, executive producer Rebecca Skinner, AD Joe âOzâ Osbourne, editor Chancler Haynes, special effects wizards David Lebensfeld & Grant Miller and set designer Ethan Tobman. The entire shoot was overseen by a medical inspector, everyone wore masks, stayed away from each other, and I even did my own hair, makeup, and styling đÂ
folklore will have 16 songs on the standard edition, but the physical deluxe editions will include a bonus track called âthe lakes.â Because this is my 8th studio album, I made 8 deluxe CD editions and 8 deluxe vinyl editions that are available for one week đ Each deluxe edition has unique covers, photos, and artwork. Available exclusively here.
Most of the things I had planned this summer didnât end up happening, but there is something I hadnât planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, folklore. Surprise đ¤Tonight at midnight Iâll be releasing my entire brand new album of songs Iâve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into. I wrote and recorded this music in isolation but got to collaborate with some musical heroes of mine; Aaron Dessner (who has co-written or produced 11 of the 16 songs), Bon Iver (who co-wrote and was kind enough to sing on one with me), William Bowery (who co-wrote two with me) and Jack Antonoff (who is basically musical family at this point). Engineered by Laura Sisk and Jon Low, mixed by Serban Ghenea & Jon Low. The album photos were shot by the amazing Beth Garrabrant. Before this year I probably wouldâve overthought when to release this music at the âperfectâ time, but the times weâre living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed. My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world. Thatâs the side of uncertainty I can get on board with. Love you guys so much âĽď¸
