Owlstrike’s Faith

A WIP Warriors fan-comic centering around my original fanclans (This is more-so a catalogue/hub for my little worldbuilding project. Theoretically this will culminate in a comic, but I've been working on it on-and-off for years at this point so don't hold your breath.) - "Amidst the stretching landscape of a quiet plateau lies three clans. Here, one cat must feel the weight of what a vow to StarClan might really mean, facing the difference between what he’s been taught to believe and what he truly does."

Rockyfoot, Owlstrike and Dayshadow’s mother! Mate to Ashdapple and senior Canyonclan warrior, she is a gentle presence within the clan, but at times can become a fierce force.

Dayshadow, Owlstrike’s sister! Daughter of Rockyfoot and Ashdapple, she’s a no-nonsense sarcastic she-cat.

Fun fact! She was created 7 years ago, inspired by a feral Siamese I would see wandering the woods by my house.

Newtbrook, medicine cat of SandstoneClan! She is the sister of Quailstar, and thus also descended from cats thought to have special connection to StarClan due to the spotting of her fur. This gives her extra authority as a medicine cat, and often she is the final arbiter on decisions regarding StarClan, even if her quiet demeanor means she wishes she didn’t have to make such difficult choices.

On The Plateau, the cats' main connection point to StarClan is through the Moon Crystal, located in the Ice Cave on the east side of the clans. The inside of the cave is frozen year-round, thought to be cooled by StarClan's presence, which they associate with winter and the cold. (In reality, because StarClan does not exist in my fanclans, this is actually based on a real-world phenomenon in some caves!)

Hawkface of CanyonClan! A well respected warrior, he is careful, unfaltering, cunning, and very spiritual. He is the half-brother of Cougarstar and Hoppinghare (though this is rarely acknowledged).

His name was originally Pricklekit, but after miraculously surviving a hawk attack he was given the apprentice name of Hawkpaw, and then the warrior name of Hawkface. This is both for his appearance (with the scar on his face that the hawk gave him) but also to commemorate how he “faced” the hawk, symbolizing how he faces challenges bravely.

Hoppinghare of CanyonClan! He is a respected senior warrior, and Cougarstar's brother. His warrior name is for his mother, Harefoot, who died shortly before he completed his apprenticeship.

Fun fact, when I originally began with the semblance of an idea for what would become the Plateau's fanclans about 7-8 years ago, Hoppinghare (then Hoppingstar) was the first cat I created for any clan.

(R to L, bottom to top) Limestripe, Pinyonshade, and Lynxbloom of CanyonClan, children of Cougarstar and Cicadafern. These three siblings have either been emboldened or burdened by their father's leader status, or possibly a mix of both.

(R to L) Sandpounce, Brightmouth, and Jackalheart of SandstoneClan. These three siblings were found abandoned in the canyon and assumed to be the kits of rogues. The majority of the clan is not sympathetic to their non-Clan heritage.

Tallskink, deputy of SandstoneClan! One of the oldest warriors in the clan, he's quiet and measured.

Quailstar, leader of SandstoneClan! She comes from a long line of cats with her same speckled pattern, and it is thought this lineage has strong connections to StarClan (though it's just vitiligo).

She's very stubborn and gets into quarrels with Fadingblaze at nearly every gathering.

Fadingblaze, deputy of CanyonClan! A senior warrior, she is very headstrong and dedicated to her clan. Fun fact, she has existed since 2017 (8 years!) and was one of my first actual warrior cat OCs.

Cougarstar, leader of Canyonclan! He's missing a leg, lost during a flash flood he miraculously survived as an apprentice.
