got some of the comics & wip of kid sergey doll

I was browsing Vinted and by pure luck I scored the first 5 issues of major grom for £20, I’m super happy they arrived cuz I’d also ordered the Comic-Con exclusive art book but it’s went missing after landing😭😭 so had to get a refund and try a different seller. I also got the painting done for my doll of sergey as a kid made from a random head of anya from spyxfamily that I found at a charity shop. I’m still not used to painting detail on 3d shapes but I’m enjoying it. I’m dreading making the outfit though. I’ve added more to the shrine too but I’ll do a full update post after I’ve made a few more things. But I did add the glasses & necklace from my bird cosplay.

I’ll be so glad to get this finished because I have dropped him and glued him back together way too many times to count lmao. Got a figure to make Oleg out of too cuz I couldn’t just make one of them without doing the other. I’ve made modifications to the doll heads too so they’ll be painted in the morning. Also gonna be making a figure and doll of the plague doctor costume in the first movie.

After doing a sketch based on this panel ages ago I wanted to turn it into a full piece. Even though I was enjoying the story prior this one page was what captivated me the most, especially this panel. You’d think I’d of learnt my lesson about drawing all the feathers last time but apparently not, it took me just over 2 hours to do all of them. Drawing sergey’s hair was my favourite part.

currently repainting my Hans doll and his face sculpt is gorgeous

I found his original paint job kinda ugly so I’m redoing it, while the dolls body is rather bland his face sculpt is absolutely stunning. He was a bitch to remove paint from though and I honestly gave up on the hair. To make matters worse his body is stained blue in places cuz of his clothes and I was absolutely horrified to learn that his shirt & trousers were just one whole piece so I will be separating them. Still working on the genderbend dolls but my hyperfixation changed so it’ll probably take a bit longer but I’m currently working on finishing all my projects so they’ll be done at some point

serovolk shrine update & sergey figure wip

After enough free prints ads I got influenced and got a bunch of major grom stuff to add to the shrine. I’m very happy with this decision. Think I’m gonna make some of those paper hanging figures I’ve been seeing on TikTok to go on it next.

Also my current progress on the sergey figured, unfortunately the hair didn’t turn out right so I’ll have to re sculpt it. The bird I got to make margo was rather fragile and broke so I’m working on fixing it cuz I lost the broken bit. Still working on the serovolk dolls too but my modifications broke of so I have to redo them.

I’ve been slacking a little with my Russian learning but I’ve still made a bit of progress. I can recognise more letters now and recently was able to roll my r rather loudly, cuz previously I could only do it quietly. Starting to get a bit more comfortable using the Russian keyboard on my phone too and am now typing the tags rather than just copying and pasting like I was previously doing.

so lesson ended up going really well, I’m struggling with rolling my r’s but everything else I can pronounce fine. Got one of the harder letters to pronounce right first time too and was apparently her first student to do so. Tutor is gonna be using panels from the major grom comics to teach me to read. She’s ok with my adhd & autism accommodations too so I can fidget and stim during lessons no problem. I was really nervous going into this but I’m really excited now

Current cosplay progress of bird

To impatient to wait for the show to release to get better refs so I’ve just been working off what was shared to TikTok lmao. Excited to add spikes to the jacket. Thinking of adding wings and some claw gloves with black fingertips to add a little extra interest. Gonna base my makeup on his look from the end credit scene in the first movie. I’ll be wearing this to a con and am super excited though I doubt anyone will recognise it.

testing out a new pen

Found a chunky black pen at hobbycraft the other day and it made me want to draw Batman so I did. I really like how quickly this pen filled stuff in and it didn’t bleed through the paper. It does show a little though but this is a very cheap sketchbook. This drawing made me realise very quickly how much knowledge I lack in the anatomy department lmao

shrine update

Now it takes up two shelves. Working on a cosplay of bird (series design) for a con and figured I should share an update. Figure next to the games is gonna be a custom of comic sergey but I’m waiting on an Etsy shop to reopen to get a little bird to make margo with. Gonna buy a figure to make Oleg with too.

Dolls are gonna be plague doctor Oleg and game sergey but I’ll make their other versions in the future.

Also thinking of making dolls of the two of them from the plague doctor comics cuz I love sergey’s design in it.

planing to make a figure of the plague doctor costume from the movie but so far every time I order a figure it doesn’t get shipped😭.

wanna make some figures of them as kids too.

got the wings on the top shelf from a broken albedo figure and will use them to make bird at some point.

I’m thinking about making myself some acrylic stands and charms at some point to cuz I keep seeing the Russian fans on TikTok posting about their one’s.

I don’t think the dvd’s are completely legit though but they all have subtitles. I didn’t realise the behind the scenes book was for the short film on YouTube but it was fun to read. I also didn’t expect it to be i. English

designing my supervillain

Tried just going straight into his costume but I couldn’t get it to work so I figured I’d work on his civilian look instead.

I started off with the age he got his powers and when he first met the superhero/his future husband as hero cadets. The two of them would fight on sight for a couple years until eventually warming up to each other. His parents despised superpowers and him being their kid didn’t change the hatred they had.

The heroes were unable to do anything legally about his situation so they called in a favour from a supervillain who dealt with the matter. The general public were led to believe he was kidnapped and eventually rescued. Him and the hero started getting along at around 13 and started dating at 14 though they kept up the charade of hating each other for quite a while. They got married at 22. I imagine that by this age he’s a lot more relaxed when it comes to his outfits but does still wear skirts on the odd occasion. Also his hair is becoming a bit more fluffy rather than spikey to reflect his change.

He works as a false villain, terrorising the city while secretly feeding info back to the hero’s. Unlike heros he is permitted to kill civilians if deemed necessary. Despite his cold demeanour in costume he is a very bubbly, friendly guy and tends to make those around him smile. He frequently reads fanfic shipping himself with the hero and very loudly critiques them to his hubby. The two of them are very involved with their daughter’s school life and frequently help out. I like the idea that he’s really into thrifting clothes and loves to experiment with them. I’m toying around with the idea of him up cycling them as well. I want him to read as more of a golden retriever type character to contrast with his villain persona with his husband giving of a black cat kinda vibe cuz I just adore it as a ship dynamic.

I’m gonna work more on his costume in the morning and hopefully design the hero too.
