Stargate SG1 I Sam X Daniel: Moebius
Okay honestly I don't even like Moebius that much EXCEPT for the comedy gold that is Alternate Sam and Daniel. I would watch a whole show about just the two of them.
But can we talk about how they clicked immediately in this scene? It is actually such a cool callback to the Pilot episode. It’s the exact same dynamic -- just like in Children of the Gods, they're the two "nerds" in a room full of military guys, and they instantly form this little alliance because they’re the only ones who speak the same language. It just proves that in any timeline, Sam and Daniel are meant to be the brain trust that finds each other.
Also, lbr -- without the military regs? They were 1000% gonna end up dating.
Which makes it even more tragic that Alt-Sam was STILL clearly hung up on Alt-Jack for some reason?! Jack was literally being a grump who wanted nothing to do with them, while Daniel was right there being supportive and sweet. It just proves that the Sam/Jack magnet is a curse that transcends all realities... even when it makes no sense.
And don't even get me started on the ending. The fact that Daniel died protecting the timeline right after they found each other? Poor guy never stood a chance 😭
Stargate SG-1: Gemini
it actually makes me so mad how this episode handles sam's trauma. she is paralyzed by guilt over what happened in "unnatural selection" and jack... does nothing.
telling her "this isn't your fault" regarding the replicator is useless when the root of the problem is the original betrayal of fifth. a betrayal that jack ordered.
god, he needed to own that. he needed to tell her that the red on her ledger was actually on his. because he didn't, sam thought she was the monster, and replicarter used that exact insecurity to tear her apart.
"but the fact is, she learned betrayal from fifth and he learned it from me."
this line just KILLS me. sam thinks she taught fifth betrayal, when in reality she was just a soldier following jack's orders. the fact that jack never steps up to own that decision - leaving sam to think she's the villain - is the very reason "gemini" ends so badly. she was punishing herself the whole time.
Stargate SG-1 | 8.10 “Endgame”
Just rewatched SG-1 8x10 "Endgame" and I’m still not over the sheer nerve of The Trust literally beaming the Stargate out of the mountain, though Teal’c gating onto a moving Al’kesh to save the day is a close second. Honestly though, the real highlight is the Sam and Daniel dynamic--coming right off of "Sacrifices," they are in peak form here. Watching them effortlessly sync up to solve the crisis while everyone else freaks out is pure intellectual soulmate energy, and I just love seeing them share a brain cell like this. There’s just something about knowing someone so well that you don't even have to finish your sentence for them to understand you. It’s a level of connection that goes way beyond 'colleagues.'
If anyone asks why I ship these two, I’m just going to point to this gifset. The trust, the ease, the way they anchor each other when things go sideways… it’s all right here!
Stargate SG-1 | 8.10 “Endgame”
The absolute solidarity. She is backing his play 100%, no questions asked.
They really said: "If we’re going to be hostages, we’re going to be annoying about it together."
Daniel forgot for exactly one second that his best friend is The Man now. The wince he does when he realizes what he just said is my favorite genre of Daniel Jackson. He has 23 PhDs but zero survival instincts when talking to Jack.
(Also, petition to officially rename it "The Room" until they get the gate back).
Oops. I meant to make a nice 'I'm back' post, but then this happened. So... hi, I'm back, and also: indeed.
FIRST ON GATEWORLD: A new Stargate series is now in pre-production for Prime Video, with veteran writer and producer Martin Gero at the helm
The way I literally said yesterday that I would do anything for new stargate that wasn’t a reboot 🙏😭
Me: I’m over my sci-fi phase. I’m an adult now. I have responsibilities.
Amazon/MGM: We’re making a new Stargate sequel series.
Me: [putting on my P90 vest] UNDOMESTICATED EQUINES COULD NOT REMOVE ME.

Happy 28th birthday, SG1!
Happy 20th Birthday Stargate SG-1! (July 27, 1997 – March 13, 2007)
𝐻𝒶𝓅𝓅𝓎 🎂2️⃣8️⃣🎉𝒷𝒾𝓇𝓉𝒽𝒹𝒶𝓎!
Today is Daniel Jackson’s birthday (July 8th 1965)
Daniel is such an important character to me. He was a huge influence on me growing up. He was kind, generous, caring, selfless, intelligent, funny. Everything I ever wanted to be. I strived to be like Daniel (still do). To be kind and patient when I meet strangers. To put myself in their shoes. To always find the good in others. To respect the past and honor peoples traditions and beliefs. That’s the kind of person I want to be.
Not only that but Daniel is one of the reasons I fell in LOVE with history. His passion for the past ignited my own passion for the subject. I watched his eyes light up when faced with a new research project, a new artifact to study, a new language to learn, a new culture to observe. It looked like so much fun! He made history fascinating and I wanted to learn more. It’s what led me to go to museums and to go to my mom and my teachers to learn more. History was my favorite subject in school because I wanted to learn as much as Daniel knew. I now have my BA in History and am now working towards my Masters in Museum Studies. And that all started with Daniel Jackson and Stargate SG-1
So happy birthday Daniel. Thanks for everything.
Happy Birthday Dr. Daniel Jackson! (July 8, 1965)
