I saw this post the other day and it really annoyed me. It’s like they don’t know the meaning of ‘Master’ and ‘Mistress’ and only posted it to spite Moffat’s writing. I’ll just clear this up:

Master is gender specific to males.

Mistress is gender specific to females.

Doctor is gender neutral.

Getting into Big Finish and Classic Who more this year helped me realize that for every mean and pessimistic Whovian, there are like two or three kind and thoughtful Whovians who genuinely love and appreciate the entire show. This was a huge encouragement.
