anyway i wrote a poem based off a fanfiction that is half finished... HALF. and yeah it's about the sonic movie. yes it's spoilers for the third movie but its february and it's been out for god-knows-how-long now so i bet you've seen it. if you wanna see the first half then ill post it i guess, but for now, i'm only posting the poem (that does not make sense without the story! so i might as well finish it ASAP)

i try to write atleast every day. i also like it when i start and finish a story in a day.
this is a story i wrote a while ago about a selkie and a sailor. this isn't really my usual post, but again, sometimes i like to write stories.
so here's a story i wrote called "silky night seas"
“Don’t disturb the captain past 10”, was what he said. And, for the most part, the crew abided by his rules. If they didn’t, well… They’d be out of a ship and a job. Nobody had ever actually been thrown overboard, but it was better not to take the risk.
Except…
Knock, knock, knock.
“mggrh…”
creeeaaakkkk…
“What? Wha’did I tell ya?” Captain Kieran stared Noah up and down. “I know you’re new here, but that’s no exception-”
“Um, sir… Some kind of seal just jumped on board…” Noah swallowed.
“So what? ‘Ya kill it, then! More money for you and me!” He threw his arms up. “Is this really what you came to disturb my sleep for?”
“It wasn’t a regular seal, sir…” Noah shook his head. “A girl! It’s a girl! But it was a seal, and now it’s a girl!”
“Ahh…” He slowly put on his boots and coat. “Selkie. It’s a selkie.”
“A what?” Noah sputtered.
“We seem ‘em all the time. It’s a shapeshifter. We’ll help the poor thing until she returns to her seal form. Then we kill her.”
“But, sir! We can’t-”
“Ohh, yes we can.” Captain Kieran gently pushed him out of the way and made his way to the deck.
There, staring back at him, was a beautiful woman who covered herself with seal skin. She was scared, terrified even, by all the spears and guns pointed at her.
“Um, hello…” She nervously spoke. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to intrude on your boat… I’m not a pirate or anything… Just needed somewhere out of the water to shed… Sorry if I scared you all.”
“Nonsense…” Captain Kieran put a broad, fake smile on. “Are ‘ya cold?”
“Uh, yes.” She nodded. “This seal skin doesn’t cover me very well. Do you have anything I could borrow? To wear?”
He helped her up and started to lead her down to the stern, where his quarters were. He started to dig through some clothes until finally, he pulled out a simple white dress. He didn’t have much women’s clothes, obviously, but at least he had something for her. He would need to keep her company until…
“Here, wear this.” He handed the dress to her. “It might be a little loose, but it should work.
“Oh, um… Thanks.” She nervously looked around. “Where should I…”
“Oh, I’ll close my eyes for you.” He blushed embarrassedly and turned around. “My apologies.”
She slowly slipped off the seal skin and slipped on the white dress. Her nose crinkled at the awful smell the dress emitted. It was absolutely nasty, but it would have to do. She didn’t want to be walking around naked on a ship that was probably filled with degenerate men.
“Um, have you ever washed this dress?” She commented. “I’m not trying to be rude, but it’s…”
“Smelly? Yeah, we don’t have running water here. We need to conserve water for drinking.” He shook his head. “If you want to keep wearin’ that seal skin of yours, it’ll smell just as bad.”
He turned around to face her and gave her a frown. “Now, ‘ya can’t just stay here for free, you know. Do you have something in return for me?”
“Uh, yes. Of course.” She nodded and picked up the seal skin. “You can have this. For food. Seal doesn’t taste too bad when you’re hungry. Plus, it’s got lots of nice meat on its bones.”
“That’s too kind of ‘ya.” He smiled a somewhat scary smile and took it. “Thanks.”
“Well, if there’s anything else I can do…” She suddenly shivered. “Wow, it sure is cold in here… Do you have a…”
She spotted a thick blanket that lay on his bed. “May I use that blanket? I’ll be quick with it, I promise…”
He nodded and gestured for her to lay in the bed. “Go on, you can get some rest. We’ll be docking tomorrow in Russia to trade. You can get off, but if ‘ya want to do that ‘ya wouldn’t be able to get back on. I don’t need extra people on my ship anyway.”
She blinked and draped the blanket around her. “Uh, I think that’s alright. You don’t mind if I stay for a while, do you?”
He glanced back at her, pondering for a moment, before replying.
