this is as funny as when it was 2000 and One Piece was actually brand new and nobody in America had heard about it and I was at my first ever convention and walked into a screening room to see luffy on a wooden raft with no context and I just assumed in a very tired and disoriented state that I was looking at an anime adaptation of Tom Sawyer and I still thought this when Tom Sawyer started stretching because I mean it's the Japanese animated adaptation duh but I did start to realize something was up by the time Tom Sawyer was fighting a clown that can fall apart.

i have on more than one occasion recommended One Piece to someone and taken it for granted that not everyone knows Luffy can stretch. funniest time was a close friend of mine, who had heard me and another one of our friends talk about One Piece for months, finally started the series. somehow, in all of my rambling and of all of our conversations at lunch, none of us ever thought to tell her about his powers, because obviously! everyone knows about luffy’s powers!

literally nobody is asking you to point them all on a blank map or know their capitals or count at least 3 major cities but there was someone in the notes who thought egypt was in eastern europe and someone who thought canada was on a separate continent from the usa. knowing sort-of where myanmar or bosnia or montenegro or somalia or laos are is literally the basic minimum and you cant even do that. if you think your knowledge of the georaphy is lacking instead of telling everyone on this site about how "they just didnt teach me that in school!" you can literally open the wikipedia list of countries and look at them. there are blank maps of continents online which you can use to practice. you can google "learn all the countries ever" and youll find a free flash game or some shit. "they didnt teach me that in school" jesus fucking christ
