Just bring back happy f*ing endings
Is that too much to ask?
Thereâs nothing new or edgy about bittersweet endings. We have enough depression in the world - let us have happy, soft endings to the characters weâve invested so much in.

Just something to cheer us up, I guess?
Remember, at the end of the day, our boy was redeemed. He knew for the first time in his life that his parents loved him more than any thing in the galaxy. He made up with his dad, thew away his saber(brave, iconic, extra, and just the right amount of Skywalker-solo stupidity.) went to save Rey,practically unarmed, gave up his life for the girl who saved his by making him Ben Solo again, kissed the girl he loved and saw her alive and well with his own eyes. He was at peace, he was happy.
He has his family waiting for him in the force. His mother literally waited for him to crossover with her.
Our boy rose from ashes like a kriffing majestic Phoenix he was, and Adam Driver delivered it so beautifully.
The death wasâŠunderwhelming to say the least. I just think they couldâve done so much better with the scene. It felt so rushed and not impactful at all for me. I was sobbing hard when he threw away his saber, threw away Kylo Ren to be Ben Solo, ready to sacrifice himself, his intension was clear that he didnât think he would make it back, but I felt nothing with the actual death. For a second I honestly though JJ didnât want us to suffer so he just made the scene that briefđ
I love the way they cared so much each other that she woke up from dead and the first thing she did was said the name of her lover and kissed him, almost like she needed to do this to make sure she was alive and he needed to feel it only once to rest in peace.
still crying over Ben Solo... What they did to him was simply cruel. He was controlled his whole life and when he finally decides to take the reins of his own life it's to sacrifice himself... that ending could've been prevented. His death feels so empty and only there for shock value and to elevate Rey as the new Skywalker.
Ben Solo was the last Skywalker to exist and was treated like some side character.
Palpatine was the reason is family was destroyed and he just gets thrown away and JJ inserts Rey as Palpatine's granddaughter so that there's a small reason why she should been the one to kill the Emperor. fuck this. Ben Solo deserved to avenge his family, he deserved to have heard the voice of his grandparent behind him and most importantly, he deserved to live.
The whole purpose of bringing back, âI know what I have to do but I donât know if I have the strength to do itâ? Ben hesitates when killing his father, he hesitates when beating Rey in a duel. but the first time when he doesnât hesitate is when heâs bringing Rey back to life knowing he will die in return. he knew what he had to do and he knew he had the strength to do it.
THEY LITERALLY MADE IT CANON THAT REY AND BEN SHARE THE SAME SOUL. THEY L I T E R A L L YÂ PUT IT INTO WORDS IN THE MOVIE THAT THEY SHARE ONE SOUL DIVIDED BY TWO BODIES. JJ ABRAMS SAT DOWN AND WROTEÂ âREY PALPATINE AND BEN SOLO SHARE A SINGLE SOULâ
AND THEN THEY KILLED HIM. THEY LEFT REY WITH HALF A SOUL AND AN OPEN FORCE BOND THAT DOES NOT EVER HEAL OR GO AWAY. IâM SO MAD WHY DID THEY DO THIS TO HER

I almost wanna write a hot take about how tumblrâs obsession with that âWe grew up with princesses, my daughters grow up with generalsâ quote in regards to Leia is another example of weird military idolisation But This Time Different Because Woman, As Leia literally has always been the figurehead, but I feel like itâs too shallow of a take lmao SHDJDJF
Like, itâs tragic that Leia becomes a general, that her whole life is marred by the scars of war.
#likeâŠleia is always the leader of the rebellion#shes no less for being a princess and no more for being a general#if anything its incredibly tragic that she is no longer a princess because her homeland is Gone#and assuming the mantle of general just shows that this woman has quite literally lived a large amount of her life in war (via @padme-amidalanaberrie)
not to mention the casual dismissal of her feminine titles/roles as being lesser like ok
Itâs like people have forgotten that the reason Leia doesnât like being called a Princesss is because it reminds her of the literal genocide of her people, and not because sheâs trying to make some sort of feminist statement.
Excellent point. And very similar to why Ahsoka didnât consider herself or like being called a Jedi after Order 66.Â
so i found this bookâŠ
and inside was a glorious sight to behold:
âren has been led astray.â
âbut if he really idolizes his gramps, letâs hope he knows that even vader renounced the dark side in the end.â
vivishmmmmhhhh!
also this freaking ending spreadâŠ
THE QUOTE. đđđ

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
Ben: *WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS*Â
You know what makes this so great and adds to the hilarity? Itâs such a down-to-Earth comedic beat in the middle of this crazy space opera. Itâs not like one of Star Warsâ typical goofy comedy moments, itâs more of a dry and subtle-ish workplace sitcom moment.

@pregnantseinfeld informed me that I was in a Buzzfeed article (with @creamynut and @bootyscientist2) a few months ago and had no idea.
Turns out that Buzzfeed just embeds Tumblr posts.
So if they take a post youâre in and say, embed it from your blog:
You can go back to the post and edit it to whatever you want and it will appear in the article like that. So you can do things like add âpay me royaltiesâ 100 times
and upload 10 pictures of Waluigi in the T Pose
And ruin the article formatting.
MARK HAMILL DOESNâT HAVE TIME FOR YOUR SEXIST BULLSHIT
She was put in the most vulnerable position, nearly naked, chained, surrounded by dangerous bounty hunters. What does she do? Plays along, lets Jabba think heâs beaten her, and as soon as she gets her opening? She chokes him to death with the very chain he used to bind her.Â
Leia is an idol. Leia is a hero.
Reblogging my own post for this comment. â€ïž
Yeah, the only Damsel in Distress in the middle trilogy was Han Solo.
twenty-four hours feels like years in the life they might have been able to liveâwere they anyone else, were the galaxy kinder than what it was.
