Brindleton woke up to a wonderful surprise this morning - Crown Princess Anya and Prince Gus are expecting!
The announcement was made by the Palace earlier today via an official press release (and a new photo of the soon-to-be-mum-and-dad!):
Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Princess and Prince Gustavo are delighted to announce that Her Royal Highness is expecting their first child.
Her Majesty The Queen, together with Their Royal Highnesses Prince Jacques, Prince Alistair, Princess Ingrid, and Prince Nicky, as well as the Aslan family, are overjoyed by this wonderful news and join in celebrating this joyous occasion with the Crown Princess and Prince Gustavo.
Further details will be shared in due course. The Crown Princess greatly appreciates the kind thoughts and well wishes during this special time.
Such wonderful news, indeed! The pregnancy announcement comes after Crown Princess Anya's 3-month absence due to "health reasons."
After five years of marriage, the couple's fertility "issues" have not exactly been kept secret. However, despite the tabloids, headlines, and nasty gossip questioning their ability to produce an heir, The Crown Princess and Prince Gus have remained a solid unit.
The Palace also confirmed that Her Royal Highness will begin to undertake "selected" engagements in the coming weeks.
A hearty congratulations to Anya and Gus, and we're incredibly excited to meet the little one!

INGRID STEPS IN FOR ANYA, GIVES UPDATE ON AILING CROWN PRINCESS (PLUS, SEE INGRID CUDDLE A WIENER!)
The Crown Princess continues to be MIA, but her family has her back. Over the past few weeks, Princes Gus, Al, and Nicky have been stepping in to take over Anya's dropped engagements.
Today, it was Princess Ingrid's turn to help. Her Royal Highness was spotted at the newly-opened Brindleton Paws Animal Hospital and Laboratory. The Queen's youngest daughter was given a tour of the high-tech facility which provides top-of the line and prompt medical care 24/7 for Brindleton's beloved fur babies.
The Princess wore the perfect dress for the engagement, the now sold-out §280 "Winnie Dress" from trendy retail brand, Araz. The dress features 3/4 sleeves, contrasting red accents, and an adorable embroidered Dachshund wearing a spiffy beret and striped turtleneck.
Her Royal Highness got to see the real deal during her visit, playing with the facility's resident wiener dog, Vienna. Princess Ingrid was treated to lots of puppy kisses in exchange for her cuddles and belly rubs.
After the visit, The Princess unexpectedly shared a health update on the Crown Princess - the first since she was confirmed to have been sent to hospital. In response to a backdoor question thrown at her while walking back to her waiting car, Her Royal Highness let slip that Anya is doing well and getting stronger each day:
"She's doing very well. She's getting stronger. Gus is taking great care of her."
When pressed for more, HRH quickly got into her vehicle but not before flashing her famous dimples and giving everyone friendly waves.
That's wonderful news! Hopefully The Crown Princess makes a full recovery soon because we miss her for real!

BREAKING: CROWN PRINCESS RUSHED TO HOSPITAL AFTER OFFICIAL ENGAGEMENT
A Palace spokesperson confirmed that Her Royal Highness, The Crown Princess, has been taken to the hospital following a medical emergency.
The statement, released by the Palace Press Office, reads:
"At around 14:00 today, The Crown Princess was rushed to hospital for a medical emergency. Her Royal Highness was accompanied by Prince Gustavo.
Her Royal Highness is now in a stable condition, but shall remain in hospital for further observation."
Earlier today, Her Royal Highness visited the Brindleton National Cardiac Centre where she toured the new pediatric wing of the world-class medical institution. The visit was unannounced and observers were quick to note that it felt rather rushed, and that the Crown Princess felt "off":
"There was no walkabout... she was in-and-out in a snap, like she was in a hurry - which is weird for Anya because she ALWAYS takes time to engage with the crowd and to take photos. This time around, she looked pained even when she was smiling. She seemed off."
This is not the first health scare for Anya in recent memory. A couple of years ago, she undertook a nearly year-long sabbatical for an undisclosed medical condition. Just last year, she also went on a personal leave of absence reportedly also due to her declining health.

The sun's out, the tea's flowing, the cakes are ready and our favourite royals are playing host in the garden!
Brindleton Palace had its first garden party of the year, attended by no less than the Queen, Prince Jacques, The Crown Princess, and Prince Gus.
Her Majesty and Their Royal Highnesses welcomed their guests, members and volunteers of the Brindleton First Responders. The royals chit-chatted their way through the crowds under a bright, cloudless sky!
The Queen and Prince Jacques stayed for about an hour, while Prince Gus and Crown Princess Anya stuck around for two.
Speaking of Prince Gus, HRH shocked everyone with his (almost) clean-shaven look! His Royal Highness went without his now-iconic bushy beard for the first time since joining the Royal Family, and people are split. "#BringBackTheBeard" trended on social media, with fans asking Anya's husband to grow back the beard, with one writing:
"WHO IS THIS MAN ANYA STAY AWAY FROM THAT STRANGER #BringBackTheBeard."
Quite a few, meanwhile, loved seeing HRH's ENTIRE face for the first time. A fan posted:
"I knew he was cute, but gahdaaaaaamn that jaw could cut glass."
Funnily enough, an attendee asked the Prince about the new look, to which HRH jokingly replied:
"The things we do to keep the wife happy, eh?"
Does that mean Anya's behind this transformation!? We approve! Love, love, love how we can now see his dimples in full view!

Princess hopefuls everywhere just had their hearts broken.
Prince Alistair, the Queen's eldest son, has gone public with his latest relationship and they both look so happy and giddy together!
The duo was spotted leaving a swanky hotel earlier this evening, where Al reportedly attended an old uni friend's engagement party. Hand-in-hand, HRH and his mystery gal were photographed rushing to a heavily-tinted SUV. Surprisingly, however, the typically poker-faced Alistair even cracked a grin to the the paparazzi who were lying in wait.
Prince Alistair's last known relationship was with Simdian socialite and multi-hyphenate, Amarthi Crishan. After dating for two years, the two quietly called it quits. The Prince has remained unattached for the past couple of years, but not anymore!
No news yet on who the scarlet-haired beauty is, but you can rest assured that we've deployed our sharpest and brightest royal detectives on the case!
Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Princess and Prince Gus were the super secret surprise guests of honour at tonight's Brindleton Fashion and the Arts Gala, otherwise known as the BFA Gala.
(Above: Gus was visibly stunned and perhaps a little blinded by the overwhelming sea of flashes aimed towards them! Maybe that's why they made such a quick escape from the red carpet!)
The BFA Gala is easily the biggest and most glamorous night for fashion - not only in Brindleton - but in the world! The event is THE night for anyone and everyone in fashion and the arts, and it attracts the biggest name in show business! Tickets are reportedly set at §100,000 and tables at §450,000, and you have to be invited to be able to purchase them.
The event, however, is not only for the glitz and glam; it serves a wonderful cause, too. All ticket sales shall be for the benefit of the Brindleton Art Scholarship Fund and the Brindleton National Museum.
While A-listers lined the now-iconic steps of the Brindleton Museum of Modern Art, everyone was left in shock when the the royal couple walked in! Silence filled the air - followed by loud clicks and blinding lights!

Although the photographers and the press would have loved to snap more pics of TRH, the duo had a blink-and-you'll miss it moment on the red carpet itself. They paused for a couple of pictures but were quickly ushered into the venue.
The Crown Princess is attending as Royal Patron of the Brindleton National Gallery, which operates the Museum of Modern Art. While rumours of a "special guest" were going around prior to the event, TRH's attendance was not announced ahead of time.

The theme for the evening was "Ballet and Opera" and the Crown Princess delivered!
For the big night, Her Royal Highness wore a fanciful white ballgown with a corseted waist and adorned with feathers - a custom piece by her wedding dress designer, Alexandra Kingsley. Her hair was up in a simple braided bun, and she completed her look with her grandmother's massive diamond chandelier earrings and matching choker. Prince Gus, as always, looked handsome in his suit.
We just LOVE seeing these two all dressed up! With a royal banquet set in a couple of weeks, looks like we have more gowns and diamonds and tiaras to look forward to!
The past three years have been a roller coaster ride for our favourite Brindleton royals - complete with breakups and new romances to lingering family feuds.
For starters, Her Majesty has had a couple of bumps in the road. Prince Jacques, during an official trip abroad, slipped and injured his already compromised back. Although he successfully recovered, he was "off duty" for almost a year during his convalescence. The health scare reportedly rattled the Queen so much that she too was rushed to hospital after feeling faint.
Things, however, turned grim last year when Her Majesty's younger (twin) brother, Prince Leonard, died. After years of battling an undisclosed illness, his passing was quietly announced via the official Royal Family's website and online channels.
The funeral was a private one, attended by both his children and his grandchildren as well as his siblings and their respective families. His ex-wife, Beatrix, the former Duchess of Holm, was also in attendance. His estate was inherited by his younger son, Leon Holm, after his firstborn, Lucas, refused to take any part of it. Although a flawed and highly divisive royal, he is remembered by his family as a good brother and a wonderful grandfather.
The Queen's little sister, Princess Empress Alexandra and her beautiful family are faring much better. She and Emperor Kenji are well-loved by their people, with approval ratings that are basically through the roof! The two have taken important steps to modernise the highly traditional and incredibly strict Shang Simlan Imperial Court.
Their children are doing incredibly well, too! Princess Hanna is set to take up medicine, and will take an official leave of absence from senior royal duties. The little twin Princes, meanwhile, are reportedly now fluent in four languages!
As for Her Majesty's children, things have gotten quite... interesting, too.
Princess Ingrid was reportedly engaged for a hot minute two years ago - but the engagement was called of almost immediately. Her Royal Highness said "yes" to longtime beau Caleb McFinley, but quickly took it back when a friend within her inner circle confessed to having a "small affair" with the hunky redhead a year before. Now, this may all be hearsay because the Palace has not actually confirmed nor denied anything - but it's interesting to note that the pair's break-up was certified by well-placed sources when the story of the broken engagement was first leaked.
These days, Ingrid is often seen with Bill Chadstone, (pictured above) a friend of her older brother, Prince Alistair. The two have been dating for over three months now.
Speaking of Alistair, the Queen's eldest son is said to be single following his break-up with Simdian socialite Amarthi Crishan. Dubbed the Playboy Prince, His Royal Highness is apparently unattached by choice, in order to focus more on his work and charities.
The same goes for Prince Nicky. Although less visible compared to his other royal siblings, he too seems to be spending most of his time on his charity work and patronages. Prince Nicky has since been lying low after photos of him smoking were shared online and following with a much-publicised altercation at a pub.
The Harvelles, meanwhile, have completely moved out of the country and now live in the south of Champs Les Sims. Following the birth of their second child, a daughter named Inez, Eleanore and Ibrahim acquired a lovely country home in a picturesque old village. They maintain no public social media presence, although we get glimpses of them occasionally, thanks to Princess Ingrid, who shares photos of her sister and nieces on her official Simstagram account.

And then we have the Crown Princess and Prince Gus.
These two have received the brunt of negative publicity through the years for a very simple reason - they still have not produced an heir.
Five years after tying the knot, there's still no pitter-patter of tiny royal baby feet within TRH's palatial home.
Last year, Anya took a leave of absence for almost half a year and people were quick to speculate that a royal baby is on the way. However, months passed, and HRH went back to work clearly not pregnant. Both Gus and Anya have not publicly addressed the "issue," but things have gone from bad to worse when an article claimed that the now aging Queen Emilia is desperate to retire and enjoy quieter days with Prince Jacques, but is forced to remain on the throne because Anya is "not ready" and "has failed her duty."
Once again, comparisons with Eleanore - who has since produced two daughters - emerged, adding more to drama to the mix. The negative publicity was a big issue within the Palace walls, so much so that the royals were cornered to release a statement denying the alleged Queen's desire to abdicate.
Now that you're all caught up, let's get back to business!
