i love the specification of "alive" in the people magazine "sexiest man alive" award. clearly they're worried about ötzi the iceman sweeping the competition. as they should be.
rb to give a snout-out to the gays
Holy shit lol
What the hell she drew a man
You're gonna be blown away by what I'm about to tell you
Younger writers. Please, just know that you could not skip to different songs on a cassette tape, that’s CDs. With tapes you pressed fast forward or rewind and prayed.
Also, VHS tapes did not have menu screens. Your only options were play, fast forward, rewind, pause, stop, or eject.
Y’all are making me feel like the crypt keeper here, I’m begging you 😭
reblog to instantly disintegrate some of your peers to dust
Also, courtesy of an otherwise great book set in the 70s I just read: if you're writing about landlines, "blocking" numbers was not a thing. (Without police and exchange-level involvement, anyway, iirc.)
Caller ID (being able to see the number of the person calling) was a Cool Extra Feature that started being available in the 90s and you had to have a phone that could handle it and pay extra for the feature to be activated. And then you just didn't pick up the phone if that number was calling. Nothing you could do about them ringing you. And before that, every call was a mystery. Before answering machines, (a whole separate bit of kit originally) if you didn't answer you'd never know what the call was about.
Some of you might need to watch old films and television while trying to write eras your audience remembers perfectly well. Just to see things in action. Please.
Uni.
HEY LADIES … … … … … … … DID YOU KNOW UHHHHHHHHH
We've been doing a lot of puzzles lately, anyone recognize our latest?
Hint 2:
Anyhow yes, they smoke weed.
Sadly this was only a test of a custom jigsaw option that didn't work and it's not publicly available, for those asking. Sorry for bragging.

Cera's dad in the Land Before Time movies is called Daddy Topps
i need to make sure you all know that
i don't even have a funny thing to say here his name is Daddy Topps
What do you usually say to someone when you don't understand/didn't hear what they said?
What?
Huh?
Excuse me?
Sorry?/I'm sorry?
Could you repeat that?
I didn't catch that
Pardon?
Something else common that's not listed here
Something niche that only people from my region or my family say
Something else
I don't say anything/I don't indicate in any way that I didn't understand them
