My personal crest - and the crest of all future descendants - is three red worms rampant on a gray field above the motto “ullum vermis amare potest aliud vermis”.
but how does worm be rampant
@bunjywunjy - like this!!
also, this was fun, so anyone who wants a... nonstandard... emblazon drawn on a post-it, reblog this post and tag me or submit your blazon to my askbox and i’ll draw it for you!*
* nothing gross or too complicated (as decided by me) will be drawn and i reserve the right to get tired of it at any time
My needlepoint Jaguar rug is finally finished and she turned out great! She measures roughly 3 x 4 feet and is about 80% recycled materials! The most expensive part of the whole project was her custom laser cut claws! This was a really challenging and humbling project and I’m proud of the finished piece! I can’t wait to start a new project!
BONUS: This is what she looked like five months ago!
vitamins (her name is Lakeworm Gürtel btw)
I Love Lakeworm Gürtel
I drew Hieronymus Bosch’s certified Very Good Boy, brought to my attention by @routezeros on twitter. Gave him a sucker fish mouth because it seemed appropriate.

i think i originally started this with the intent of it being a collage but then never got it together to do the actual collage part of the work, which in all fairness would be a long and frustrating task... i still think it would’ve been cool, maybe one day i’ll revisit the concept, though i don’t really have a stash of collaging materials anymore
so this is what i’ve been working on for the last week! my sewing machine has kicked the bucket (pouring one out for all the craigslist machines out there) so i’m back to my hand sewing roots. no pattern, all hand stitched, hand dyed with indigo, i expect i’ll be wearing this at the beach for at least a few years :)
ftr, this represents about 15 hours of work, though if i made a habit of it i’d probably be at least a little quicker.
(shout-out to the nikkei national museum & cultural centre for running the aizome workshop that i was lucky enough to be able to attend! what a great experience!)

Bad drawings about bad times and a bad head
I don’t know what to do with all the drawings.
Oh I really love that last one? It speaks to me, I would buy a print of it if I could

The dark side of nature! On her way down to spawn thousands of eggs into the ocean, this Christmas Island Red Crab paused to feast on the returning baby crabs (same species) that were spawned a month earlier, popping them into her mouth like popcorn!
MA'AM, NO. MA'AM!
IT’S A TINY CRAB DYSTOPIA D: D: D:
this is one of a very small number of paintings i’ve done on canvas, and certainly the largest at probably a whole foot high (i’ve mostly done those tiny pocket-sized dollar store canvases) and was a gift for my dad mumblemumble years ago
it’s not my favourite of my paintings, but it is the only one i actually have a picture of
i really want to get back into doing little paintings again – gotta pick up some paints one of these days
