Hi there! I'm just a person unfortunately growing up, but always a teenager in my heart. I love music, reading, writing HT fanfiction, sometimes drawing, and most of all characters development. Most of the time, I have no one to share it with.

I will never go into realism in drawing, for me it takes away the unique features of the characters. I have enough realism in my life.

Hotel Transylvania is an inactive and half-dead fandom, and many people who blogged on this topic before I even knew about Tumblr have already either deactivated, abandoned them, or simply switched to something else. In my blog, I take out old posts with the tag #hotel transylvania from the depths of Tumblr and reblog them, and also make my own. (It may look weird, but what can I do if I liked a post created by some person in 2018 and I want to add something of my own?)

It's the papa's turn.

A special (not for everyone) creature, a thief with principles, an ambassador of green colour, a Disney princess, an unconventional biker, a milk lover and a dad who's very worried he doesn't fully meet this title.

This gentleman with a weird name (which is actually the best choice in my life) was created soon after his kid, because I took pity on Fred and decided that he didn't deserve to be a complete orphan. I didn't realize then that his dad would be my most adored OC.

He and Fred are a package deal, so everyone will have to put up with it, but don't worry, he has his own hard life. What he has done is controversial. He's neither a good guy nor a bad guy. And I don't believe he's completely unloveable.

I dedicate this and all future posts to @whowoyu. The fact that it is here now is largely due to you.

A truly versatile man, as well as the most kind-hearted being to exist and the center of the universe (the last two according to his son). And now let's come down to earth a little bit and mention that he killed people. Just like many others.

His borderline personality disorder is a huge part of him, which creates a lot of problems for him and makes his personality as complex as it is. And most importantly, from the moment its presence is known, it is not ignored.

Speaks mostly British English, which he learned perfectly during his years in prison, and rarely remembers he actually can speak Romanian. Knows Italian, Georgian and German less better. Pretty good in Latin.

At almost 1000 years old, he is constantly mistaken for a 600-700-year-old. Because of the genes, because of the appearance, because of the rare activity for that age (in Russian speaking, "с шилом в одном месте"). Or because of everything at once.

His natural magic is pretty weak and he hasn't really had a chance to practice it hard, so he relies on physical strength and the tricks he's learned over his life. He is great at climbing trees and jumping from crazy heights, knowing how to land safely (or dive if there is a body of water below). He can fly, of course, but his stubbornness and insecurity are stronger than him.

As part of his mental illness, he experiences constant difficulties with hobbies, but fortunately, he has one stable hyperfixation. Biker subculture. That's that rare environment in which he feels weirdly comfortable and where he is truly recognized as one of them and others are okay with the fact that he doesn't always act like the majority.

At the beginning of his sentence, he had his prisoner's number tattooed just below the knee on his left leg. It not only stayed with him forever as a reminder, but also took away some of his powers (which didn't really make much difference, since his magic was completely suppressed during that period). In 2017, he got a tattoo of a small bat on his left arm, closer to the junction of the arm with the body (Fred found out about it only a year later and immediately got the same one on his right)

A soldier for a significant part of his life (thanks to BBC Watson inspiration), unfortunately not of his own free will, but if it means doing what's right, then he won't ever run away from what is already his duty as punishment.

A daddy's boy (in a good way), a con artist, a fangirl, a walking meme, a regular in hospitals and airports, a person raised by three cultures and a guy who values his interests, while also putting the interests of his father almost... well, let's say very high.

I don't remember a lot of things from the past, but it seems he appeared as a result of my outburst of love for Lydia and her existence. So my crazy teenage brain created a man for her. Well, you know, at first everything was typical for a teenager going through an era of actively inventing OCs and stupid stories. Fred started out as a husband and developed into a traits-stuffed character.

In 2032, he shows up at the hotel along with his dad and is immediately liked by everyone (no). Anyway, from that moment on, he's also part of the family, and no matter how Lydia resisted, now they all are bound to become closer. And maybe more close-knit.

He can pronounce the word "dad" in several languages in which he likes the way it sounds, including Korean, Russian and French. This is a kind of alternative to affectionate nicknames. Fun fact: Fred never addresses his father as "father", even in conversations with third parties calls him just "dad", because "father" sounds too official and cold.

Speaks Romanian, English, French, Korean, a bit worse Japanese and German. Is quite impressive in learning Russian.

Has an unconventionally thunderous and resonant voice, which is good for singing in operas, but not for Dad's sensitive hearing. That's why he usually talks half-heartedly. The urge to not hold back and sing in full force remains with him forever.

Has a habit of squinting hard when he doesn't trust something or sees something suspicious.

Should actually wear glasses, but prefers lenses, as he has been hiding it from Dad for a long time. Later, he starts wearing them more often, because Lydia has a thing for glasses.

Very enthusiastic about singing, dancing and acting, though he doesn't consider any of these to be his life's work.

A hardcore fan of several K-pop bands and has collaborated with his the most favorite one.

Loves dressing up, especially in something that would make average European people be confused. If you don't have anyone to wear a Sailor Moon costume, then here's a model for you.

My Perfect Dracula Adaptation

It would be great if someone could interview me... But I'll have to do it myself.

One movie, a movie series, or a TV series?

One movie, even more than two hours long, is not enough to cover all the key events. I saw one post where it was said about the adaptation in the form of a movie series, and now I absolutely agree with this option.

My suggestion is at least three movies, the first of which should include Jonathan's time in Dracula's castle, the second — Dracula's arrival in London and Lucy's illness & death, and finally in the third the whole team gets together and starts making plans to eliminate the Count. And everything is in chronological order. It's fun to read, of course, but I prefer to find out about everything right away as it happens, in all places and with all the characters.

What about the romance between Mina and Dracula/the whole idea of reincarnation?

So, Dracula is a murderous jerk who knows exactly what he's doing, so in order to keep the movies as close to the book as possible, I would just leave hints of his fleeting flashes of some kind of attraction to Mina. As for Mina, she (at least towards the end, when it becomes obvious that Dracula doesn't have long left) could well express pity for his human soul (?) and wonder about what he was like while he was still human.

Reincarnation is not the explanation that fits this situation. (lol, in English there are too many words ending with -tion, sorry) This doesn't work, because everything Dracula did before turning Mina doesn't make him a believable unhappy lover who "crossed oceans of time" blah blah blah. No, I'd rather accept the version that he saw Mina for the first time and wanted to make her his right hand or something like that.

Would you keep the diary format?

Since this is what makes the book stand out, it should be left at least partially. Personally, I found it terribly boring to read moments like long newspaper excerpts and official letters, so they don't deserve any mentions. Diary entries (I loved them all, it's sad Arthur wasn't making notes too), especially by Jonathan and Mina, could be shortened to their main thoughts and read out by the actors off-screen, for example, at the beginning of long and meaningful scenes.

Any personal changes?

First of all, more of Lord Godalming and sweet old man Van Helsing! Both together and their moments with Jonathan and Mina. Arthur's suffering doesn't deserve to be omitted, and Van Helsing must adopt him and take him under his wing. (Okay, this is a bit much, but I would kill for an original sequel where Arthur and his father figure work together and perhaps become more recognizable monster hunters)

I like the actors from the 1992 movie, and I would prefer to see them in the perfect adaptation. Except Keanu Reeves. No, Jonathan needs a more lively and energetic (and handsome) actor, especially for the scenes after Mina's turning. Also, maybe I'd prefer Van Helsing to be closer to his book version.

It's a bit specific, but I need that scene when Dracula lost his money because of Jonathan and his knife.

I would pay more attention to the backstory of Dracula himself and the focus on his powers, like the characters discussing them.

Which of my statements is closest to your opinion? Maybe you'll add your ideas, and they will be even more brilliant.
