I’d like to believe that on July 16th, Sun didn’t immediately cry after he woke up. I’d like to presume that he was too overwhelmed by shock and absolute horror at the carnage surrounding him, which tripled after seeing his own body covered in the filth of the daycare. I’d like to infer that this is the reason why Moon blamed Sun. Moon saw someone staring blankly off into space surrounded by and drenched in the blood of children he had been assigned with caring for. Moon saw someone who didn’t have an ounce of expression on their face, someone who didn’t look remorseful nor terrified. Just empty. I’d like to hypothesize that Sun didn’t cry for a while after that. He didn’t seem to feel anything after that. It wasn’t until hearing about the children’s funerals and being told he was banned from going that he broke down. Most likely alone. Or with the “comfort” from a brother who blamed him.

Sun never is left with anything to bury

Every time a family member dies he is left with no remains ,nothing to bury ,nothing to remember them by.

He blamed himself for the July 16th kids dying. he accidentally caused moons death. he was forced to kill Nexus ,and blood moon. when cosmos died he couldn’t do anything he was to far away. he watched atles and solar die infront of him both being atomized .

He’s always the last one standing with nothing to show for it.

He probably has some form of survivor’s guilt

Maybe he’s never able to let go because he can never say goodbye, and he can never remember them without blaming himself.

People hate sun because he acted realistically

He is kind but doesn’t act perfect so people hate him . He’s supposed to be “the nice one” so people put him on a pedestal of expectations it’s the same thing that old moon did. Then they get mad when he’s not meeting the standards that they put on him.

During the beginning of nexus no one knew that nexus wasn’t just a moon with no memory and he didn’t really make it clear that he wanted to be distinct

When nexus started to isolate himself sun didn’t push him because he thought it would make it worse

During the sun and moon argument he didn’t immediately forgive moon because he had broken a promise he made when he said he would never be how he used to be

Sun acts realistically he’s kind but he’s not a saint he reacts how most people would react in those situations and people hate him for it

I’d argue sun is the most realistic character when it comes to actions

Writers who can end on sad/bad endings are too powerful.

Not me writing the most fucked up, degrading, soul-wrenching, heart-breaking, existential conflict rending trauma onto my blorbos and just...letting it stay that way. Not trying to fix some of it. Not giving it at least a hopeful slant in the end???

Maybe I am alone in this, but I really really hate that Sun isn’t feminine anymore.

I remember in a really old video when the two brothers are racing in an obstacle course in Minecraft, Moon ends up saying that if Sun loses he has to put on a princess dress and say “I’m a pretty princess!” It’s really goofy, and then Sun agrees to it hinting that he actually DOES wear dresses already and Moon makes fun of him for being a femboy. Sun is embarrassed by this, but doesn’t deny it.

Now, when Dazzle tried to do his makeup, Sun was fussy the entire time and didn’t even try to be open with the entire thing. It felt especially odd because it was just his daughter giving him a makeover??

I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but the whole switch up is just…eh.

Maybe the creators are trying to do a thing where Sun was bullied off camera by Moon and now he hates it, kind of like Nexus calling Sun bi. Or maybe it was just a thing Sun grew out of over time, who knows. But the fact that he just seems so vehemently against being feminine just erks me the wrong way. And if they ARE going with the “Moon bullied him off camera so now he doesn’t like it” thing it just kind of feels like the bullying worked? There isn’t anything addressing this either, it’s just sort of there.

Who knows, it’s probably just me wanting some more fem Sun, but u just wanted to say something about it.

I would like to add I do enjoy how he has been very insistent on his “hair”. Even if it’s technically not it’s nice to see him keep it up in a way, also the white Miku hair was very much amazing.

I genuinely find it so heartwarming to see elderly/older queer people.

It fills me with so much joy and hope to see these individuals just living their happiest and best lives, even with the hell going on in the world today. People have been queer in the past and will continue to be queer in the present and future, and to see others fully comfortable with themselves despite everything is just really nice to think about.
