Arrow: Endgame

With the news that Emily is leaving at the end of season 7, I revisited how this effects my original Arrow ending spec and it still works out. With a few tweaks lol.

Present day: Star City falls and the team scatter. Oliver and Felicity drive off into the sunset to have their baby in secret.

Future: Oliver is revealed to be alive. He’s reunited with his kids and wife. They stop Galaxy One together. Olicity leave. Retire. HEA. They pass the mantle onto Mia, William, and Connor.

Season 8: set in Star City 2040 following FTA. With flashbacks of Oliver in the lead up to Crisis. And what he’s been doing since.

Arrow ends and the Blackstar spin off is announced.

Plot twist: the Arrow flashforward future is actually not very bleak at all, we’re just seeing it through the super melodramatic viewpoints of William and Mia. 

Oliver was present for all of Mia’s childhood and teen years, he just thought Mia would benefit from a teacher other than him so he called Nyssa to come train her. And Felicity ran her company from home but Oliver had to go in to work, so all those scene of just Felicity and Mia, Oliver is just at work. 

When William says Oliver and Felicity abandoned him and he never heard from them again, all that happened was they were supposed to meet him for dinner and had to cancel, but then they got busy tracking a bomber and didn’t call for a week or so. 

Roy was just on Lian Yu  for a week or two checking something out and then his means of communication broke, so Felicity sent William a message asking him to go pick up Roy. 

Rene and Zoe only bicker and just because Rene wants her to have a job that actually pays. 

Star City isn’t really in ruins, but there is one really bad neighborhood and Mia just likes to go there and pick fights.

Y'all saw my theories about Arrow not even landing on the dartboard for the most part and this one missed it once again.

Did I see it coming? Yeah, I guess it was obvious that if Maya/Mia would be anybody's kid, it would have to be Olicity but like my mind is still be like:

Are you telling me that this badass fighter isn't the daughter of Roy "Parkour badass" Harper and Thea "Trained by the Dark Archer " Queen who seems to have a personality like both of the red archers.

But it be like that sometimes.
