I used to think about all the mistakes I thought I had made. If only I had acted a little different we would still be together. If only I had different needs then it would have worked. Yes if I had the same needs as he had, it might have worked. But that person would not be me. I accepted that this is the type of person I am and these are the needs I have. I enjoy a lot of physical affection for example and I want to spend a lot of time with the people I love, especially my partner. These are not insane needs that no one can fulfill, there are millions of people out there who have the same desires in a relationship. Now I could ignore my needs and force myself to be with this person, but for what? Isn’t the reason I want to be with him, because I think he makes me happy? Well if he isn’t meeting my needs, it means I am not happy in this relationship. His needs are not going to change overnight and neither are mine. If I want to be with him, it means I can’t be myself, I can’t be happy. I had to make a choice between my own happiness and this person. I decided my happiness will always be more important than any man.

Moving on isn’t about forgetting them or not loving them anymore. It’s about admitting that although you may still love them, the relationship isn’t worth the pain, and you deserve better. And most important, it’s about learning to love yourself more than you love them. After this, you may stop loving them, and you may even forget them. Likes can only go so far for artists. Artists may exclusively upload their artwork to tumblr, or don’t have the time to use other sites and prefer tumblr over deviantART due to its simplicity, but the tagging system can make it harder to navigate. Many artists on tumblr tag with high-traffic tags or use their own tags to prevent tag clogging which eventually become lost. That’s why it’s very important to reblog an artist’s work. 

I’m not trying to push you to ruin your blog’s aesthetic or something, nor am I saying that “you must absolutely reblog your favourite artist’s work or you’re trash”, all I’m saying is if you truly want to support your favourite artist, instead of just liking their posts, try to reblog them once in a while. The more reblogs they receive, the more exposure/notes/followers they may receive, and it’s just one of the easiest ways to show you care about them.

In TERA, one time I remember going AFK for a while and while I was away, a friend had run up to my character and AFK’d alongside her. I came back to some people insisting we MUST have been ERPing. Though it wasn’t the case that time, there was no RP flag in the game, so when I was tabbing in and out and didn’t want people approaching me for RP, I’d park my character somewhere dancing in a bikini since it was terribly OOC, I thought people would take the hint I wasn’t in RP mode and not approach me IC. I had multiple people tell me I was an ERPer (and a man IRL lol) just because my avatar was in a bikini.

If we could stop jumping the gun with “omg ERP!!” assumptions, and especially stop passing them off as facts in interviews with shoddy gaming “news” sites that tend to be eager to paint every single thing RPers do as weird and sex-focused, that would be great. I know chances are we all know what those two naked catgirls in the Quicksand are doing but we can not just point at everything like a character running by in a bikini and proclaim “oh that’s ERP!!!” ????
