A working theory I have developed over time and have yet to see disproven is that the women who are the most fixated on what other women are doing, wearing, receiving and achieving are almost always the women who are doing the least in their own lives. The fixation is the symptom and the emptiness is the disease and no amount of commentary on someone else’s Birkin or arrangement or body is going to fill whatever is actually missing.
