PROMPTS FOR THE MORNING AFTER * adjust as necessary, nsfw implied
this... isn't my bed.
i'll make us breakfast.
wait, how long have you been here?
did you stay the night?
you're so beautiful like this.
did i give you that hickey?
don't get up. stay right here.
kiss me again.
nice bedhead.
are you... wearing anything?
this was a bad idea.
i've wanted to do that forever.
did you enjoy it?
i did a number on your back. sorry about that.
is this your shirt?
maybe you should go.
i had a great time.
if you stay, i'll make us coffee.
i shouldn't have stayed over.
come back here. please?
i've never been like that with anyone before.
there's a bra on the ceiling fan.
did we... actually...?
we could do it again, if you want.
you made me feel... incredible.
was it... okay?
you look beautiful in my bed.
what do you remember?
was i too loud?
you can borrow my shirt.
i guess this makes us more than friends.
this can't be happening.
i could spend the day just like this, right here with you.
is that a hickey?
this was just for fun. it doesn't mean we're together.
this wasn't supposed to happen.
should we talk about it?
what time is it? i'm late for work.
how long have you been awake?
i remember... everything.
we should do that again sometime.
i think we cuddled.
that was the best night of my life.
what parts do you remember?
why don't you stay for breakfast?
was it good for you?
the sex was great.
how do you like your eggs?
are we still friends?
sorry, i've got morning breath.
i'd really like to keep seeing you.
i'm glad i invited you in.
finally... fucking finally.
please don't leave the bed.
don't make fun of me if i walk funny.
this doesn't mean anything.
my friends are never going to believe this.
i don't even know who i was last night.
no one's ever taken care of me like that.
let me help you clean up.
maybe we should forget this even happened.
i'm just going to... leave.
you said some wild things last night.
you're wearing my shirt.
maybe we could make this a regular thing.
am i blushing? i'm blushing, aren't i.
where did i put my glasses?
your clothes are in the living room.
i need a shower.
your hair's a mess.
you make a great pillow.
i thought we agreed this would ruin our relationship.
did i do something wrong?
we were pretty loud.
do you want me to leave?
i asked you to stay the night.
i bet your neighbors hate us.
stay like this.
well, that's one way to bounce back.
what about round two?
don't let go of me.
why don't you join me in the shower?
we can't keep doing this.
we're fucked, aren't we.
how long have i been asleep?
i tried to keep feelings out of this. i really did.

Shawn just doesn't know how to navigate this. With girls he'd always found it so easy, he'd feed them the right lines and it would always work. Ash was different. Not just because of the obvious but Shawn was starting to realise that his feelings ran a lot deeper than any other girl he'd been with before. Shawn had never been the kind of guy to get nervous but Ash? Ash made him nervous.
He was about to come back with some quick remark but all at once Ash's lips were on his and for a moment he froze. Unsure and unsteady. But then something switched inside of him and he couldn't help himself, one hand snaking up into Ash's hair and the other making its way to the small of his back, pulling him in. He needed him close.
“Ain’t you the prettiest thing?”
"Oh, I don't..."
She stumbles over her words, glancing down at her arm she notices the gooseflesh appearing, her body screaming at her to flee. And yet there's a stupid, vain part of her that keeps her rooted to the spot, cheeks flushing pink from his flattery. She's been warned all her life about men like him, but she also has a deep rooted need to be good. Running off would be rude and she can't be rude. She needs to be a good, polite girl.
"That's real kind of you. I should get back to work."
“What did you do?”
"Nothing bad, why are you looking at me like that?"
Exasperated, Beth sighed as she tried to explain herself, suddenly doubting her actions.
"I was just trying to help."
“you’re bleeding.”
"Huh?"
Dazed, Beth suddenly seemed to notice the dull ache at her temple. Lifting her hand to her head she winced at the sting, before looking at her fingers, stained crimson. She was so out of it she hadn't even noticed the injury until it was pointed out to her.
"I slipped."
She isn't entirely sure why her instinct is to lie. Something about this man puts her on edge, he's unpredictable and truthfully she hadn't even processed the events of the evening yet. It was better so pretend. For herself too.
"I don't know why I'm here. I'm sorry, I should go."

He emerges from the shadows and she sp badly wants to feel relief. Something in his expression stops her though, her blood runs through her veins with an icy chill and every sense seems to be telling her to run. To get away. Tom slows down his walking until he was fully stopped. He seemed a bit confused, looking around him as if she was talking to someone else. After a moment he just clears his throat and nods, accepting his fate.
"Sure. I can spare a few to assist. How can I help?"
"I know this is a little weird to just walk in and do this but I was wondering if there would be any work going? I moved to town a little while ago and its been tough to find a job. I just--I thought maybe just coming in and meeting you would help?"
"sorry, were you talking to me?" From Tom Holloway
Beth seemed to shrink slightly, she just wasn't used to speaking to men like him and somehow his eyes on her made her feel small.
"Yes, sorry. I just--I wondered if you could help me."
