I find it really disappointing that the incredibly basic statement "Pronouns don't equal gender and presentation doesn't equal gender and presentation doesn't equal pronouns" Was only an accepted and respected take in the broader queer community for about two years and now we've regressed so far that it's seen not just as silly but as borderline problematic to expect people to gender you correctly if you use he/him as a fem presenting person or she/her as a masc presenting person or neutral pronouns as a person who is not 100% perfectly androgynous. But you're not allowed to be androgynous either because apparently genderfuckery is actually harmful to binary trans people and if you don't conform to cis patriarchal standards you're just as bad as the oppressors enforcing them because you might make somebody a little uncomfortable... right.
I have to stop being a time lord.
no one is coming to Save you but there are probably people coming to Help you and that rocks. embrace it
the fact that the captions didn't translate gora pakoda is a crime!
gora means somthing along the lines of fair skinned, or outright white
pakoda or pakora is a fritter made with various vegtables in a gram flour batter and then fried
gora pakoda thus means white fritter and is often used as a term of andearment for white people or as mild, but friendly insult (depending on context)

I'm going to *remembers how many times in my life I didn't tell anyone I was suicidal* you know, I'm not going to, but I honestly think even joking about it is better than never talking about it, and I think people who have dealt with such a difficult thing deserve to be able to joke about our own experiences without getting lectured about some knock-off CBT that's been ground up and shat out of the online pop psychology void, and also you know this format in itself is a suicide joke right it's just euphemistic
For context: Jonis Josef is a famous Norwegian comedian.

I love when people try to gotcha me on my stance that all sports should be gender integrated with "even American football???" because I can instantly come back with "oh lmao, no, I don't think ANYONE should play American football at all, it's way too dangerous" like nice try but I know no amount of testosterone is going to protect you from the profound, life ruining health issues caused by getting repeated severe concussions over the course of several years. No one should play this sport.
Like do you really think muscle mass or gender/sex can protect you from CTE?? You think men are naturally more resistant to concussions?? Because idk how else you square this sport being too dangerous for cis women and people afab but perfectly safe for cis men and people amab. Having a testosterone dominant endocrine system isn't gonna do shit in the face of traumatic brain injury. Be serious. This sport should not exist.
Honestly it's pretty weird to me that people dismiss the harm football players go through as fine because they're men, especially when so many players are black men. Always remember the argument that women are weaker than men is also an argument that men are stronger than women and can withstand more injury and abuse which isn't true, and absolutely ties into eugenicist beliefs about black bodies while obscuring their suffering as not existing because they're men and football is only dangerous for women, so how could they be hurt?
Systems can exploit men too, especially non-white or otherwise marginalized men who also deserve to be defended and liberated from said system's devaluation of their humanity and mistreatment.
@lunammoon over here saying what I tried to way more eloquently, thank you o7 no one should be subjected to the Hell Spiral 3000!!!!

the thing about. simm!master. and i don’t think moffat got this, i really don’t, and that’s why his version is so off to me. the thing about simm!master is that he is the worst person imaginable. he is shitty he is bad he is terrible. he is a performance artist and his performance is murder and his captive audience is the doctor. the thing is he is all of those things.
and he is also someone to whom an impossible to comprehend violation was done. that no one else could hear. so. listen.
and it isn’t about the possibility of redemption or that he could secretly be good underneath it all because of that core of trauma. it’s that he isn’t. he’s just not a very good person.
it was still done to him. can you excuse that? he isn’t going to get better, all that he is is standing right here, and what’s right here is disgusting to the society that cast him out and reprehensible to you for the things he’s done. you’re holding a gun, right now. do you pull the trigger? he’s your friend, and something unspeakable was done to him. do you pull the trigger? maybe he was going to be a monster anyway or maybe this is what made him one. does it matter. do you pull the trigger. you heard the drums. you were scared. you pulled away. he has never been able to escape them. do you pull the trigger. he is goading you. he deserves it. he’s scared because he thinks you really might. he’s right. it would be easy. do you pull the trigger.
