any word on when the next bingo might drop?

Thanks for checking in, anon. Unfortunately, due to a lack of response to our mod application form and personal events in the remaining mods’ lives, we have had to postpone the next round of bingo. I apologize that we couldn’t let you all know earlier, but it didn’t become clear until the run-up to when the bingo usually starts how overwhelmed the two of us were. Hopefully we can get some new blood in on the moderating team soon and get the bingo up and running, but it didn’t happen in time for the bingo this year, sadly.

It’s that time of year again, yep, it’s Terror Bingo prep time! The Terror Bingo, in various iterations, has been running for 6 long years (with this upcoming being our 7th), can you believe it? A seven year old fandom… god we’re so old.

Anyway, dramatics aside, this year we want to try to shake it up a bit…

Firstly: New Mods!

Quite a few of the current mods are juggling many things at the moment, so to make sure the ball isn’t being dropped we’re looking to add some new mods to the team. Also, Tree is stepping down! (Thank you, Tree!) We’re particularly interested in hearing from those who would find it fun to create new graphics (bingo cards and stickers) and those who love social media. More information on exact duties (light but consistent!) can be found in the application form linked below.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from you and that makes us sad, so it’s time to whip out a trusty little survey. Ever wanted to really let us know what you think of the Terror Bingo? Have some opinions dying to be heard (about the Terror Bingo)? Have a prompt you really want to see included? Well, wait no more, we’re looking for feedback! We’re especially excited to see what you have to say about the prompts, and very especially, New Prompt Ideas.

Lastly: When is the Bingo running this year?

Good question, ideally we’d love to be raring to go on the usual November 1st but given the current mod busyness, we can’t yet confirm that’s our start date. It will depend a bit on how quickly we can bring in new mods and what changes we want to implement. Do not fear, the plan, very much, is to run the Bingo this year! But we may need a little extra time to get up and running, so we will be sure to keep you updated when we plan to start.

We had 153 sign-ups this year, and we are so grateful for the participants and the patience we've been granted through our issues with technology. What an incredible turnout! We are so grateful to be part of this community and run an event like Bingo each year. It's always so much fun to see what people create.

This is only the end of the formal event; you are free to continue creating using your Bingo cards. We just won't be checking up and reblogging things regularly after today, creating new cards, or filling sticker requests.

Without your participation, Bingo wouldn't be possible. We are looking forward to developing new methods to streamline the card-making process to prevent some of the gaps in timeliness you saw this year. You might also see some changes to rules next year, including our new policies around remakes. This is to help us as mods get cards out the door quicker when we open next year. We will be sending out a follow up survey, so keep an eye out for that, and if you have any suggestions, feel free to include them!
