How Fairy Tail ended for me.

Ultear slowly came to realization that there is no redemption for her and that she will never find happiness, not around Fairy Tail and Crime Sorciere. As well as when something bad will happen to her, there will be no one there for her (which happened). During the last day of the GMG, Ultear lost with her depression and used Last Ages hoping that her life will have some meaning. She lost her life, but after the Eclipse gate was destroyed Ultear returned to her former self. After realizing everything what happened she made a decission to stage her condition as an old woman. She said her goodbyes to anyone she knew and left Fiore for a country where law favored her. After some time adjusting to a none on the run life she settled down. Found REAL friends, set up a REAL family and never, EVER again wasted her life on people that took her for granted.

Now after seeing how Ultear was treated, I can honestly say that I regret that during the dragons attack, she didn't let them all DIE. And that she ever bothered with Crime Sorciere.

If this is the ending Ultear got, or more like the lack of it, then I’m not going to hold back my discontent. Ultear after helping other people, saving so many lives, actively working towards her redemption ends up loosing her youth, alone and forgotten, waiting for death. While Zeref who didn’t take any responsibility for his cults, Etherious demons, the war he started and so on, gets a happy ending and a second chance at life. Why? Because he is a lolifucker thats why.

And of course the whole Fairy Tail is happy for him. Erza forgot how much shit she gave Jellal when he was Zeref’s follower, Gray forgot that it was the monster that Zeref created that killed his family and cost Ur her life, Natsu forgot how Zeref killed Larcade in front of him for trying to help (I can’t believe I’m sorry for the poor sob). And of course they all forgoten that he brought war to Ishgar. The whole Fairy Tail is like that, full of double standards and not caring about anything or anyone but their guild.

Here I thought that since the theme of this manga is friendship someone will try to help Ultear or at least will want to visit her in the end. That all this nakama talk actually means something and is not a load of crap to excuse asspull powerups. Oh, what a fool I was.

Fairy Tail gave me so many disappointment and negative emotions that in the end I have nothing but hate for it.

Been finding a lot of these cards lately (on Twitter, if you’re wondering). This one is of Chelia/Sherria Blendy from Lamia Scale.

One chapter of Fairy Tail left and I'm honestly thinking that Crime Sorciere was the worst thing that happened to Ultear.

It's as if her character wasn't allowed to develop more, because Mashima had to force Jellal relevance. She was put on the bus for almost the entirety of time (Last Ages). No one even tried to find and cure her. Minerva was brought back to Sabertooth and turned back human, Chelia wasn't excluded after she lost her power, but everyone forgot about Ultear. Which was probably because the characters closest to her already had estimated ships, and God forbid Jellal or Gray doing anything for the sake of a woman other than Erza and Juvia. I swear, Ultear would be way better off if she started in a new place with new people, instead of wasting time on people that took her for granted.

I'm tired of hearing that I shouldn't criticize Fairy Tail, because Mashima is giving his best every week. If this is Mashima's best then I don't want to see him at his worst. And a short break could have actually helped this manga. There wasn't a single good chapter in the past year. I'm being serious right now, I disliked every single chapter of FT this year. We had forced fanservice, death fake outs, lolicon pandering, no character developement, character regression in some cases even, plot that either doesn't make any sense or leads to zero impact, fake hype, disappointing villains, double standards and of course nakama speeches that mean shit and are only an excuse for bullshit power-ups and pandering to cancer ships.

So please don't tell me - don't like it, don't read it. I've probably been reading this manga longer than most. I've been reading it since the climax of the Nirvana Arc (around Erza fight with Midnight). And seeing it go to shit over such a long time is a tragedy.

If you still think that Ultear returning back to her age will take away the meaning of her sacrifice, answer me this. What does it even matter right now? After Juvia, Gajeel, Natsu, ect., what does it even matter? Why does Ultear deserve to be the only recurring character without a happy ending? Oh, I forgot Acnologia. Ultear is put in the same boat as Acnologia, without a happy ending.

It’s not like her sacrifice served the character development of any of her close ones (Jellal, Meredy), character regression in some cases (Gray). Her being around wouldn’t change the recruitment of the Oracion Seis. Why Ultear can’t have the life with friends and family this manga was supposed to be about? She doesn’t deserve to die alone, spending her last moments looking outside the window.

Remember that beautiful scene when Gray told Ultear about following his own will even if Ur might had a different wish? Or that quote from the beginning of the story when he said not to consider everything in a life-or-death matter, but to focuse on the future? Or when he promised Natsu about not using Ice Shell again? Or about not hurting his guildmates? Oh right, Mashima decided to throw to dump 500 chapters of Gray character development for the sake of that revenge on END idiot plot.

So now Jellal apparently didn’t leave his comrades behind because everything happened off-panel, LOL. Yeah right. Will believe it when I see it.

You want to tell me Mashima couldn’t show even one page or a few panels of what was happening with Ultear or the Oracion Seis. Instead we had over a hundred chapters of death fake outs, ship pandering, fanservice and unnecessary things, asspull fights, more fanservice and unnecessary things, wanking Natsu and Erza, even more fanservice and unnecessary things.

The only thing I got was when Ultear showed up in her timeless form in Hargonen with Jellal and Meredy. Implying that this was no coincidence. And it wasn’t even elaborated. I’m not asking for full chapters of Crime Sorciere or a official ship for Ultear anymore. Just show a few panels that Ultear isn’t alone and forgotten, and that she has a single person she can trully call a friend.

It’s the last chapter. Please Mashima, I want to end the manga without any ill fellings.

Say what you want about Erza, but at least she isn’t the type to leave her comrades behind for obligatory ship bullshit. Unlike Jellal.

@zeke-frost Right, Erza magical ankle injury. First she can't move, then she can stand, next she can't move again, then she starts jumping around cutting monsters just to be in need to be supported by Jellal. Jellal knew that something was wrong with Ultear and it's not like he couldn't leave Erza with her guildmates. He left Ultear, because he prefered to ogle Erza. The person that saved his life from jail, the one moment she needed someone to be with her, she was left alone. Saying that Ultear was at fault, because she was thinking about killing Rogue is a farce. Gray was trying to kill Natsu and it apparently should be swept under the carpet, while Ultear for thinking about killing someone in a state of crisis should be punished. I don't know of any law abiding country that punishes for thinking about killing someone and then forgives someone for attempting murder. But those are Mashima's garbage morals we're talking about. I'm tired of hearing something happened off-panel. Of all the panels Mashima wastes on fanservice and unnecessary shit, he could dedicate a few to show what was happening with Ultear or OS. It stands, Jellal left Ultear in a time of need and left OS injured and unconscious.

Apparently Acnologia, while being defeated by Natsu said "You're indeed worthy of being the king". Yonkouprod has the translations of 544 up. It's.. pretty bad, but honestly? I don't think anyone expected Acnologia to win or anything, but what he said? "You're indeed worthy of being the king"? He must have lower standards for a king than Mavis did for a boyfriend.

What Mashima made him say: “You’re indeed worthy of being the king.”

Original script: “I killed almost every dragon with my bare fucking hands. You killed one by draining the power of six other guys and authorial intervention, you useless hack. Kudos, I guess??? Go fuck yourself.”

Ultear is the loneliest character in the whole Fairy Tail. Literally everyone from Sabertooth, Mermaid Heel, Lamia, Pegasus, ect. Has someone that is with them and they can rely on. Chelia has Wendy, Kagura has Erza, Minerva has her guild, the same goes for Ichiya and so on. Even Zeref has his dumb loli groupie that he can abuse how many times he wants and she will still love him, plus an army of toolbags that follow his every order.

Ultear has no one. No one was there the stop her from using Last Agies nor do something to cure the side effects of the spell. Mashima never bothered to develope her relationship with the rest of Crime Sorciere and she is lately always drawn sitting alone.

Ultear is not giving any magic power. Everyone else has this magic aura around them, but not Ultear. You can say that Ultear doesn’t have any magic power, but Chelia doesn’t have any either and despite that she joined the link. This worries me T.T
