So Christmas Day's hot yoga session reminded me that the Universe is abundant. Anything we would like to receive is infinitely available. The key 🗝️ is simply cultivating the right mindset to receive and it will be made so. I am certainly guilty of sometimes living in the future. Saying 'when' I reach xyz goal, then I'll be worthy of that degree of success etc. I feel like I'm precluding myself from things that are well within my grasp. This equally applies when we get stuck in the past. Our guru recently said 'We are not defined by our last failure. We are not the rolling sum of our past mistakes. We are born anew every single day and always capable of greatness.' This was so freeing to hear as the words literally break the chains that enslave our minds on a daily basis. Living in the past or future are easy traps to fall into and we need to fight really hard to stay present. I've been to a number of mindfulness workshops but despite having this knowledge, long-term I find the only thing that really works is doing yoga frequently. I've already forged my stance for 2021. I am going to show up. Show up without judgement, without expectations and open myself to the galaxy of possibilities that are available at our fingertips. Who's with me? Four consecutive days of hot yoga later, here's what I've noticed: 1. My hamstrings are finally letting go after a year of sitting too much while working from home. 2. Unprocessed emotions are starting to leave my solar plexus and I'm starting to feel a deeper sense of happiness. 3. The muscle imbalances in my left and right are reducing. 4. My core is stronger and my posture is better. 5. I am calm and ever more present each day. Yoga is definitely a ritual that will feature heavily in my 2021. What great habits will build on in 2021?
