"I hate Black Lives Matter, but I would have supported MLK"
Uh, no hun, no you wouldn’t have:
“Among whites, 40% express support, while 28% say they oppose Black Lives Matter”
- Pew Research, July 8th 2016
“In 1963, King had a 41% positive and a 37% negative rating; in 1964, it was 43% positive and 39% negative; in 1965, his rating was 45% positive and 45% negative; and in 1966 – the last Gallup measure of King using this scalometer procedure – it was 32% positive and 63% negative”
- Gallup Polling
In 1964, the same year MLK got a 45% negative rating, Barry Goldwater, who ran his Presidential campaign on opposing Civil Rights, was on the top 10 most admired list.
So. Stop. You’re making yourself look bad.
Artist Daniel Rarela creates “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” memes to stop people from whitewashing MLK

First day of life up until 6th grade
Jumped all the way to Freshman year of High School
Then I cut my hair Junior year, why did I do that
Slowly it started growing back and then….
I finally felt comfortable to express myself (the picture on the left was my debut)
At this point in my transition I am 6 months into HRT
A year on HRT
Over a year and a half on hormones. My transition hasn’t been the clearest path but I am so happy that I am on it.
Update:
2 years since my coming out
2 years on hrt
2.3 years on hrt
2 and a half years on hormones
Its been a while since I’ve done an update so here it goes
At this point I am 3 years into my Hormone Replacement Therapy. I’m thriving.
These pictures were taken days apart and I am 3 and a half years into my medical transition (The picture on the right was also posted by Instagram on all their major social media handles attached with an interview I did with them for International Women’s Month)
During this time I was 4 years into HRT. Clearly living for it.
I am currently 4 and a half years into HRT, 5 years into socially transitioning, 6 years into when i first came out to my community around me and I’m loving life more than I ever thought I would.
I need to save that post to remind myself that “Heaven needs time to render”. SUCH AN INSPIRATION!!!
She is so gorgeous!! Like oml ♡♡

consumer activism is a lie, see you in hell or in communism
lmao try boycotting a brand in monopoly capitalism
This. This is a large part of what “there’s no ethical consumption under late capitalism” means. On top of everything else, when the same company owns both the product you’re boycotting *and* the “organic, free range, fair trade, no prison labor” version of that product, your choice is literally meaningless. Even before you factor in the strong possibility that those labels are lies, you’re still just choosing one prong of a two prong marketing strategy meant to capture 100% of the market. Your objections to their cheaper, less ethical brand are being used to wring more money out of you, money that all goes to the same place. Your morality is being used to exploit you, and they still win.
When people get pregnant, they will give up smoking, give up alcohol, give up coffee and soda, give up fondue and raw cheese, give up cold cuts and sushi, all because they have heard somewhere, from someone, that these things can be bad for the baby. They don’t know the research, haven’t looked at the studies, can’t talk about sample sizes and control groups. But their dedication to their future child’s safety is so strong, their caution is so overpowering, that they give up these things just in case.
So it baffles me when those same people will insist on spanking their kids.
Even when they are shown the research.
Regardless of what the experts in the field say.
No matter who says it.
Or how it is said.
People are so invested in this ability to hit their kids without judgement or consequence, that it absolutely confounds me.
the problem is all you retards think punishing your children in any form is abuse and all of these studies do the same.which makes them useless
Lmao best believe I’m smacking tf out my kids if I catch them doing drugs or anything illegal for that matter
Even though all research and experts in the field say that physical discipline does more harm than good and fails to address the source of misbehavior?
Yeah. Guaranteed ass-whooping if they do anything illegal.
Kinda sounds like you just want to beat your kids, not actually help them be functional, well adjusted adults. Maybe don’t physically assault your children.
Punishing your kids doesn’t equal assaulting them.
But then again what can you expect from a blog like this
Punishing your kid by “smacking the fuck out of” them and giving them an “ass-whooping” is assaulting them. Please learn more about non-abusive parenting methods before you decide to become a parent.
Spanking your kids isn’t abusive though? I was abused as a kid. (Not by my parents). I was also punished with spankings, time outs, whatever else. There’s a complete difference between the two. Literally anyone I have ever met that was spanked as a child has turned out fine? A simple smack to the ass or a slap on the hand isn’t going to kill your child.
You’re still hurting a minor, possibly making them more inclined to do illegal things to go against you. You are inflicting pain on your own child. It’s despicable and it does not help. There are other ways.
Some abuse is worse than other, but intentionally hurting your child is still abuse. It does not equal rape, for example. But then again stealing a bottle of nail polish is theft, just like stealing all the money in the cash register is theft, even though the two differ in value.
It’s literally not abuse though and it pisses me off when people try to compare it to actual abuse. One tap to your child’s butt is not abuse. People seem to think that they’re hitting their child with a fucking fist or someshit. You don’t even tap them hard enough to make them cry jfc
Even when they are shown the research.
Regardless of what the experts in the field say.

There’s never any reason to hit your child. I was spanked as a child and it did nothing but make me fear my parents. My parents spanked my brother and my mom even said that he didn’t behave because of it and he hates the way they parented him. Same thing happens with all my other family members’ kids. It does nothing but cause fear or more acting up. Learn how to actually discipline your child without verbally or physically disciplining them or don’t have kids. It’s simple.
A spanking is not abuse🤷🏾♂️💯 fuck all them studies if I ain’t get ass whoopings Id probably be dead or in jail already. Simple. I know plenty kids who parents let them do whatever the fuck. A lot of em are actually dead. This new age kill me🤦🏾♂️

i’ve only ever seen parents use spaking as “discipline” when the parent themselves is in a pissy mood and their child is making them angry. it’s not a tool used to disicpline and educate, it’s an outlet for parents who are angry that their child is acting like a child.
If you child is old enough to understand reason, talk to them. If they’re not old enough to understand reason, they’re not old enough to understand why you’re hitting them.
I was spanked as a kid and I grew up with this thing called respect. I don’t fear my parents. I don’t hate them. I appreciate and trust and respect love them. They spanked me if I did bad things. Behaviour worth being spanked for (like biting, for example). I was spanked on the behind and never bit again. And I turned out just fine. Unless you class being bi af a result of it. 🤔🤔

I have seriously had it with these pompous, poor hating, classist assholes.
Paying someone the bare minimum to not live in poverty is not greedy. Its not hurting the rich. Its not going to crush the economy. Its the bare minimum we should strive for in a caring society.
What is crushing the economy is uncontrolled corporate greed, not the working poor.
What you don’t get is that the economy and the value of things on the bottom of the scale is based on the value of an hour of work. A jug of milk will always cost 35-50% of a minimum wage hour. So if you put the minimum wage at 15$, you’ll just see the price of milk rise to 7$. After a year, the result is that no poor people were helped by doing this AND the economy is now worse because people lost their jobs, the middle class has more debt, etc… The only reason minimum wage was raised in the past is to follow inflation, created by the existence of the federal reserve and 0 base lending.
That actually is fiction. Also you’re talking about the USA, and I am clearly not.
But here, have some facts:
Early analysis of Seattle’s $15 wage law: Effect on prices minimal one year after implementation
After A Year, Seattle’s New Minimum Wage Hasn’t Raised Retail Prices
New UW Study: Raising the Minimum Wage Doesn’t Raise the Price of Groceries
Debunking: “If You Raise The Minimum Wage, It Will Cause Inflation”
What paying fast food workers a living wage would do to the price of a Big Mac
